Real talk, the *official* Minecraft novels are really good. The Island is honestly one of my favorite books ever, and it's crazy to think the same guy that wrote World War Z, wrote Minecraft: The Island

I remember my parents getting my younger brother 2 unofficial Minecraft books for his birthday, “Herobrines Revenge” and “The Sword of Herobrine”, and I remember reading both of those books and strangely loving the series. They weren’t the best books I’ve read, but they’re still worth a read. Especially since it’s not related to Fortnite.

I have the first 13 Diary of a Minecraft Zombie books, which I used to read RELIGIOUSLY when I was younger. Even with how weird they are I still have a big soft spot for them. The son would make up ideas/plots, then told those ideas to his parents who wrote them into the books. Makes me wonder how they came up with ideas once that kid grew older. To this day I wanna get the rest of the books in the series just to catch up… but geez, 28!? And omg, I think I had the first book in that 'Herobrine Goes to School' series. Had no idea it was made by the same people, or that there was more than one! To answer your question, I think Herobrine IS a blocky Minecraft dude walking around in the real world in those books. I vividly remember one moment from the first book where he walks into the classroom for the first time and all the kids stare at him and question why he looks like that.
