Thanks so much for watching!
A+ man. No joke, Lego commercials really did stand out, but it's completely true that bionicle just took that concept and ran with it. Every commercial was dark, steeped in mystery, and told you something about the world, as opposed to what the toys could do. And yes, they ALWAYS had some air of terror about them:
"When legends were young, one word was never spoken, for fear it that the legend was true. That word... was Bohrok." and then the close. "Beware. If you wake one, you wake them all..." [pans back to see 300+ canisters of bohrok]
And let's not forget the Vahki's tagline that sounded more like a threat if you didn't buy them all that instant: "Surrender or run."
Having just watched all of inhumanoids, seeing that pop up briefly made me laugh hysterically
I feel like I know you from somewhere
Oh, hey, I watch some of your videos sometimes
Hello there!
As someone named Zack I can confirm that the LEGO maniac phase was really odd.
zack the second lego maniac
@@smb-c3po THE KID HAS A NAME?!
@@smb-c3po but that’s just a theory a film theory
Zick Zack is the lego movie father lore confirmed
Now you can clearly say you know a boy his name is zack
Being just a handful of years older than Diamondbolt, I always find some refreshing humor in his takes on things that were just a couple years too late for me. and yet, it seems like nothing has really changed lmao. in this video's case, seems like children's toy ads have been the same since the 80s
I know that these aren't toy commercials, but the trailers for the Cybertron games still get me incredibly hyped. Both those and the original Bionicle commercials give me so much nostalgia that I still get chills whenever I go back to watch them. Also the Piraka rap will forever be legendary to me.
Now I'm thinking back to the Fall of Cybertron announcement trailer, I still play the song from the trailer whenever I get the chance lmao
I love how little toy commercials have changed over the years. They still got that 90s spirit.
In case you were wondering, that one japanese toy was $44.43 AUD and $32.39 USD.
this reminded me of this one star wars commerical where kylo ren says in a super processed voice ''you know what ive come for.'' still makes me laugh.
I love the way you bring attention to the effort people put into the backgrounds of the commercials. I guess I never payed too much attention to it, but I'll enjoy them more now. Thank you.
12:25 Just gonna leave this here.
Toy ads from like the 90's, 00s and even the 2010's give me so much serotonin.
Having Bionicle on your thumbnail with that title? You damn well know your audience. Very nice.
The LEGO City ads are legendary and no one can say otherwise.
*A MAN HAS FALLEN INTO A RIVER IN LEGO CITY*
HEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYY
Btw that's the same guy who voices agent 47 in the hitman series.
What is up with that guy and working with danish companies, he's south African lol.
Let's not forget the fact that 80s R-Rated films like _Robocop_ or _Rambo_ gets away with turning into an animated series made for children.
I don't think Lego just does the best toy commercials, they do the best commercials in general!
Dude the topics you cover are exactly in my ballpark. You’re working your way up my list of favourite UA-camrs

Aw ye, now this is my kinda content. As a fellow toy dork, I love these silly ass commercials. You didn’t mention them by name, but I’m glad there was a tiny bit of Trash Pack rep in here, too! I bought an embarrassing amount of them haha
Same 👍
When the world need this series most, it returned to us.
9:59 I was eating while watching this part, and I lost my appetite
The fact you brought up Lego City, and didn't bring up the "HEY" guy is pure heresy! 😂
I remember when I went on a tour of NASA as a kid and they told us that when they launch a rocket basically everything in a 2km radius just dies so yeah, the lego city space department has a lot of blood on their hands.
12:53 LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
12:17 the batteries not included was talking about zack
lego is god tier with their commercials, nothing got me as hyped to waste my money as a lego commercial did
There was always that one kid that would say a swear word into the display voice lightsabers, and you could never change it if you bought it.
The Bionocle, Hero Factory, Nerf, and Definitely those Lego city commercials always had my attention. Especially when it pans over to the incomplete vehicle and just see lego guy shouting HEY! Then boom! Speed build
Diamondbolt is slowly becoming the Nostalgia Critic. XD
God, the Bionicle commercials were the shit back then. Most of my favorite songs are from just those commercials. They knew what they were doing
The annual event that happens every thunderstorm
Bionicle G1 commercials were friggin awesome and had such memorable songs
That Piraka rap sounded familiar to me, and then I realized that was the song that Diamondbolt’s Minecraft parody song was based of of! I didn’t know it was based off of Bionicle, but I guess it makes sense with Diamondbolt. I think he’s pretty cool.
Wasnt the piraka rap an old channel meme?
@@kirbysuperstaruhh3769 I don’t know. I only recognized it from his Minecraft parodies video. I didn’t know that he used it in earlier videos. But it makes sense considering how much of a Bionicle fan Bolt is. Either way, cool reference.
@@kirbysuperstaruhh3769 yeah it in all most all the older videos
I loved the Kre-O commercials, they were just awesome.
I will never stop loving the piraka rap.
The jar in the mlp ad made me laugh more than it should have
The Crossfire commercial will never not be absolutely legendary.
Year late, bionicle commercials are a hidden art of pure appreciation for the source material that isnt just “buy our toys”.
Bionicle ads are easily my favorite ads of all time, especially from the ignition trilogy
"I love that they introduce the new product by absolutely bodying the previous toys"
Kind of reminds me of when I made paper versions of Optimus prime where I would make one and then when I made another one,I would make the new one "ice"(kill) the previous one every time
And years later, did it with Superman too
08:41: "CRITIC!"
DIamondbolt is such a big inspiration, he inspired me to start my own channel and upload my own videos, thanks diamondbolt
As a lego fan, i can confirm i am very proud of their commercials
One jingle that got stuck in my head:
-----
Super Sticker!
Super Sticker!
Make a cat, just like that!
Or a flower for your hat!
Super Sticker!
Made by me!
-----
Only reason i remember it is cos it aired during a Beast Wars episode i'd recorded on VHS.
8:26 NO
NO NOT THE JAR
To me, the most prominent ones I got to experience were obviously the Lego City commercials, but they never got old for me.
I always expected to see and hear the iconic "Hey!" every time one of these commercials occurred.
Ah, the nostalgia....
13:29 yo yo hey crafter
Holy heck this is one of my most relatable and favourite diamondbolt videos
The first 5 years of Ninjago had the best ads ever. They were so cool.
I got an ad in the middle of the video before you said the best ad then it sounded like “the best toy commercial is simply piano”
Honestly I've never seen a toy advert that does a better job than Bionicle
Wait a minute you're telling me your school didn't have an underground toy fight clubs
Diamond bolt you're not allowed to just drop that Dreadwing ad on us. I thought after the last time I'd be spared seeing that horror again
Agent 47 was the narrator who shouts “HEY”
That’s something new you don’t see everyday
Man toy commercials are underrated for real
You made a good point about LEGO City being a very dangerous place to live. Thankfully they have the greatest hero of all time, Chase McCain, to keep law and order
Bionicles definitely have banger commercials, the nostalgia be hitting hard
I absolutley love the old 87 TMNT Toy commercials and the Ben 10 one's too
06:49 honestly the Beyblade commercial thing kinda happened at my schools (grade two to four, nine year olds are batshit, thought not to the extent of tournaments, but multiple groups would gather, there were gangs and leagues and allies, the marble bunch had an alliance with the beybladers and the pebble target guys but they are in grave conflict with the climbers and the stuffed toy people!), it was just not only Beyblades, but different games of marble and some weird small rubber figurines you threw at people (???) Small target practice where you have a bunch of small figurines in a line and threw pebbles at them, whoever downed the most won. Those are just a few of the games, and nobody was truly exclusive, it was just in what you owned, what a friend or ally would be willing to borrow or trade or what the school provided.
There's also the fact that a lot of other stuff like (school provided) boardgames, sports, wordplays, bets, ballgames, the common games needing only some gravel and two legs (stuff you'd play by drawing in the gravel to make fields of different kinds) were played as much, with broad overlap, it was a question of maining rather than exclusivity
There were also those that brought plushies in, thought those mostly hung out with eachother.
Same with the bookmark/card game/collectors guys, those mostly sat in a corner and traded and bragged
God this unleashed a lot of nostalgia
Notice how all of the ads shown are from his childhood obsessions
I literally get chills watching Bionicle Commercials
You didn't even mention Skylanders or any other Toys to Life commercials, they were fucking magical and personally feels magical to this day still
Oh yeah, I freaking adored the Skylanders commericals!!!
Thanks for mentioning the pillow pets jingle I only buried it into the deepest darkest pit in my brain and you unearthed it
i loved toy commercials growing up, great commentary, very funny
Awesome video! I totally lost it when I saw...the Poney Jar...
I was part of an Underground Beyblade Club and it was awesome.
i was very into bionicle as a kid
despite not growing up in the era of bionicle where it peaked, i got my mom to get me 2 protector of the earth sets back in like 2015 and always wanted more than just those 2, yet, when i returned to walmart with my mom like a week later, bionicle was nowhere in sight and i've always wanted to get my hands on some more. also, onua is forever my favorite bionicle, idc what anyone says, he's the best one out there
Yeah the Inika commercial was iconic, but the Toa Metru one was Legendary
I love Toy commercials as well! I had to have come here!
Did i name myself Alexander CUCKOLD Truong? Yes
Was it embarassing and affect my career in any way? Yes
But was being mentioned from one of my all time favourite youtubers worth it and hearing him laugh at my name worth everything to me? HECKIN YES!
My favorite childhood memory was closing down the nearest skatepark to hold beyblade tournaments
Dude the Alien commercial killed me. I was just fucking blindsided by this sentient xenomorph taunting the humans like some supervillain.
Toy commercials are my biggest inspiration
The thumbnail got me hooked and I didn't even know this was a Diamond Bolt video....Also I have wached most of these commersals on UA-cam recently🤣🤟
Absolutely excellent your upload is ... nice and wonderful ✨👍
8:57 Fun Fact they used Milky's sounds for the tractors in Cars!
I remember at my school during recess, some kids would bring bablade arena things and other kids would battle them while many other kids would crowd behind and cheer. Good times.
Bro, the underground bayblade tournaments were legit
That LEGO narrator is the whole reason I’m now on crippling credit card debt from buying too much LEGO Star Wars.
Yaaaaaay congrats on 500K subs you deserve this my guy I'm honestly befuddled that you don't have more because the production quality on this channel is so high
How ironic that right when you were talking about annoying jingles, a candy crush saga ad played.
Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Disk commercials, made it look like people settled shit with dueling and that more than one person on the street had a Duel Disk, because in the anime Kaiba literally gives them out
ZABUZA SWORD CANNOT BE BEAT
Bionicle have the best commercials ever. Like man its like small episodes of a really great tv show
I remember crossfire's commercial and tune, it actually got me to buy it as a kid lok
Do U play in thunderstorms and accidentally banish people to the shadow realm?
Who would've guessed that Agent 47 was the one who broke the bad news about a man falling into the river at Lego City?
God I wish people would settle arguments with cool toy battles because I would be full on involved
i tried to shut your video off to watch something productive, like the simpsons, but I could not turn this off, you are so funny and entertaining!
12:46 YO I TOLD BOLT THAT! MY TWITTER COMMENT MADE IT INTO THE VIDEO! I'M FAMOUS
As soon as I saw the title I went "Ooh he's gonna talk about the Piraka rap again isn't he" and I was not disappointed
My science teacher had a beyblade tournament and everyone was having the time of their lives.
Ahh i can't stop watching his videos, its just entertaining
Me and my friends would run off after school to play beyblades behind a Cicis pizza with this weird big metal we found behind it. One day the bowl was gone and our reenactments of beyblade commercials were done
Lego city ads were nonstop at some point on UA-cam omg literally every ad I got was one
Dreadwing's rap commercial will forever be my favorite
You putting that pony figure in the jar was going to invoke a death squad ong.
I got a apple bee’s ad that played “everybody dance now” at max volume over chicken
The BIONICLE adverts were incredible. Lego’s greatest theme by far, the only Lego theme I kept collecting.
Diamondbolt videos are the best
i love how all the music he used was lego racers
Its just occured to me but why do so many adverts act like theres some secret underground fight clubs using their toys
