@@reptilzum1616 thats cool as well. The bottom line is that too many kids are lazy and fat. They need physical activity and they need to make use of their imaginations through toys, coloring, drawing, reading, having conversation or role playing with parents or friends (i.e. playing house). Thats why if i become a parent, im not gonna let my kid play video games as they are a timewaster and they build no skill or real connection with anything or anyone.
There are just so many problems with that, let’s say for example all his friends play video games at least somewhat, they will probably talk about how fun and cool they are and your kid would feel extremely left out. And also the more you try to stop him from playing, the more he will want to try to play because of these reasons, and while I agree that most kids should should get more exercise than they normally do, I still think they should be able to play video games at least a little bit because they are fun, and they CAN build skills like logical thinking and reflexes and so on. But it’s not like I can decide how you parent, and I don’t want to get into an argument so do what you want.
@@reptilzum1616 hey, its not like i wouldn't let my kid experience life, but i see no problems with not letting him stare at screens all the time. Kids in the olden days had none of that and they turned into responsible adults, probably moreso than today. Plus, so many kids just become too attached to games and its all they want to do. Then they get mad if you try to make them do other things. And just because my kid doesnt know Fortnite dances or 2K jargon, that doesnt mean hes any less cultured or intelligent. Id prefer my kids to do something with their hands and minds, like toys, LEGOs, coloring, art, educational kids tv shows and sports rather than mashing buttons on a computer screen all day. Its not healthy to do that when theres a big wide world to discover. And as far as learning logic goes, only puzzle and platformer games have been shown to help with that, which are the kind of games kids play least.
Parents: I wish there was a way for us to identify if a game has mature content in them to protect our kids Rating system: hello there Parents: No I wish someone would just protect my kids for me

@Simple Weirdo pretty much. Honestly, parents need to stop putting there kids in the limelight and throughout the internet, because all that is going to happen is that they’re going to get bullied, all because the parent wanted their 5 mins of fame.
@@TheComicMaster1995 My question is why would a parent’s answer to the problem they caused (that being buying them violent video games without realizing age restrictions or doing research) be to have their kids appear on national news? That’s so embarrassing and I’d hate my parents for doing that. I’m all for small town stories about families trying to do something good for the community, but this is literally just blowing a mistake way out of proportion
I love that whenever these people are confronted with actual opposing evidence they immediately change the subject because they know if they are pro video games all of the parents will change the channel cause they can’t bear the fact that their children are having fun and their aren’t any blatantly obvious negative effects
U can obviously tell they were forced and it wasnt their decision. Abd they look pretty smart so they could probably buy those games he threw away online
Their dad was probably insane. They probably got a B or a C in some class and he forced them to destroy all their games as a result. Also, games aren't cheap, at least lock them up until the kids fulfill their punishment or whatever. I hope he didn't destroy anything those kids actually paid for.
Parents threw a hissy fit over Mortal Kombat in the 90s, leading to a rating system to be created to designate which games were appropriate for who. And now they can't even be bothered to understand that the "M for Mature" on the cover means "don't give this to your 8-year old". Don't blame the games, blame yourselves.
Parents: “You can’t play that game little Timmy, video games cause violence” Also parents: “I told you not to play that game, Timmy. Now I have to get the belt and literally assault you as punishment.”
I just find the whole ordeal to be so stupid in my opinion. Besides buying these video games without checking the label or reading anything about the games, you have the audacity to force your kids to go on national television, throw their video games away on tv and then try to tie it together with some bullshit hashtag movement? Although I think most tween and teenage kids can handle M rated content, at the very least, take the games away and either hide from your kids until they’re old enough or sell/trade them. You’re throwing money down the drain by just throwing them away.

According to the reporters, if I played Godzilla ps4, I would become Godzilla
'Sir, why did you nuke Tokyo?'
'Well, I played that one Godzilla game on PS4.'

I’m all for small town stories about families trying to do something good for the community, but this is literally just blowing a mistake way out of proportion
