I like your efforts, nice setup. You should look into getting a shop laser. A flatbed laser. It'll make super thin & accurate cuts in at least 1/4" acrylic. A lot less mess.. Acrylic solvent glue assembles the pieces nice and rigid.
This is real awesome. I just added this to my TJ list of ToDo's. My buddy and I are gonna build one. Thanks for the awesome idea.

Dude you forgot the most important part... Your antenna set up!!?? You should have shown what/how many antenna's you used, and how you got them rigged/tuned!!
lex luther the scanner antenna can be be a mini mobile dipole mounted anywhere, and the cb antenna can be mounted on the spare tire carrier. Now the cb swr is gonna be an issue with all the electronics around it .....

Beautiful setup, but when your installing something in a vehicle you forgot safety, If you're out wheelin or get into a wreck, you or your passengers head is done! Corners of that console or radio's will rip you up! Setup needs to be in an encasement with rubber built around the edging.
You could get a mirror screen protector for that tablet and it could double as a rear view mirror when not in use.
Looks good but only thing I don't like is obstructing the window at the top when you're getting ready to climb a steep hill you have to be able to look up from the bottom to find a good line to take I would delete the screen hanging down other then that the console in the middle looks cool. Maybe you don't really wheel much in that jeep just drive it the streets. I don't know where you live out here in AZ everything is steep and rocky.

It seems lots of guys are inquiring about the lack of a rear view mirror. Most states require that a driver be able to see the road behind the vehicle, either with a rear view mirror or with a mirror or mirrors located outside the vehicle on the driver and/or passenger side of the vehicle. Looks like a panel from a fire truck.
This is great and all, however a rear view is also great. it would be awesome if you could find a way to integrate the rear view into it.
I'd like to do something similar in my WJ - too bad it has a sunroof lol. Nice job, a bit much maybe and likely lethal in any bad accident, but nice job anyway. Some thick padded upholstery on the outside would be a good idea, IMO.
All those nice sharp edges should be real fun in a roll-over or other accident. seems you left off your rear view mirror Captain Kirk.

That tablet hanging down is just about guaranteed a ticket for Obstruction of operator's view or driving mechanism.

Nice mods. The day you ever go 4 wheeling is the day you find out if all that stays together. I have seen some mall cruisers fall apart going over speed bumps. Have you taken your Jeep offroad underwater and all that good stuff us Jeepers like to do to test the durability of your mods?

Pretty badass Eddie. Very nice project and video. Thank you. Would you happen to know how much power is available to me up top side on my overhead console in my 1996 Grand Cherokee Laredo? I want to mount and power a low wattage 12V car-puter, a hotspot and a few usb devices and I'd like to tap into the power that is there already there for the trip computer and lights. This would save me much time rather than having to pull and rout 18 or 16 gauge through the firewall and the rest.

Obstructions to the view of the windshield isn’t looked in favorable by state traffic laws.
Aren't you required to have a rear view mirror?

Eddie how did you stabilize the android tablet from vehicle shake and vibration? What did you use for the power control to give you that 15 second shut down? I've wanted to do a similar mount for a tablet but worried I would be cited for obstructing the view, are there any laws on this or is it just in my head? Obviously you have friends that are LEO's, so I am curious have any of them commented on that obstruction or no?
