What a beautiful, rugged, remote region you hiked to. I think it's smart that you pulled over when you did, and hiked from there. Although we saw evidence of activity from long ago, it's great it wasn't on today's, beaten path. Thanks, Doug for taking us along with you, on your adventurous, scenic hike. Except for a herd, it's wonderful that you had that relaxing soak to yourselves. This was really such an idyllic, "magical" excursion on this cold, Autumn day. I thoroughly enjoyed it, Doug from the comfort of my warm home.🤭😉 I bet lunch, and those sugar cookies were delicious, and hit the spot... It looks like prior visitors believe in preserving the natural beauty of the place, like you and Kellie do, Doug... another super video for the books👏🏻🤗🤗🎊

Hi Rhonda! I put those cattle in there just for you, seeing you were asking about animals! I appreciate that you called it a "magical" excursion. We will have to thank Kellie, because she was persistent in getting to the hot springs when I was ready to turn tail and go home. I was concerned about getting stuck 25 miles in no man's land in the cold. Ha! My favorite places are the remote places without any other people, not that I don't like people, but I like solitude more often than not. We need a lot of space in Nevada (at least those of us out from Las Vegas and Reno, though those places are unique). Sunny weather, but chilly, just barely warm enough to paint the fascia outside. On my lunch break, then back to fall painting. Happy Thanxgiving Rhonda!

Now that this post hs gone on the internet, that path is going to get thoroughly beaten. I wish people would just explore remote places and not need to tell the world they did it.

For instance, people will go to a beautiful remote place and then post all about it on the internet. Can you spell: oxymoron?

@@bellestarr6484 Not necessarilly, many of my viewers are life long outdoors people who can't get out anymore. Also, often many people have neither the patience, endurance, or toughness to reach the remote places (that's what helps to keep them less visited than anything). I have kept hidden many places that I have explored too.

All I can say is, wow, what a treat this was from start to finish! This was such a beautiful journey through an extremely remote part of Nevada. Doug, you are such a good friend helping Kellie to navigate the road and moving rocks out of the way for her. The hot springs looked gorgeous, and what a lovely, mountainous panorama. Like you, I’m glad this hot spring is so remote that it won’t attract a lot of visitors, although I do hope I can visit one day. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Kellie!

Another interesting video on a place few will ever visit except on your video travels :)
Miracle Hot Springs Kern River near Lake Isabela is currently being demolished by the National Forest Service. A popular spot. "Miracle" supposedly named due to WW1 wounded veterans recovering there. If you visit be sure to see the "tubes" from the U.S.S. Arizona that the anchor chains moved through.

Hey Brother Doug! Another goodie here...and with sugar cookies too! I'm so glad you took us to this area, I have been curious about that region behind Mt.Grant. Love our Cal-Neva borderlands, always something special to find. Great rock formations you and Kellie found! Watching you building that rock bridge wore me out, I would be done for the day after that! I wish I still had that kind of energy. Good thing you had those cookies to revive you!

Thank you, I hope your Thanksgiving is a good one with family and friends! I will plan on putting out a video on Thursday because I will edit it on Wednesday; tomorrow. We will be going up to the Aurora area past Fletcher Station, poking around (but don't tell anyone yet). Still painting outside while I can; the little place looks a lot better than it did. Can't wait to get rid of crazy pink walls in the kitchen (going with white and blue trim). Still got posts to put in for another fence repair. Catch you on Thursday my Brother! 🇺🇸🍪🍰🍩🍗🥧🍺🍴🫗🍽️🍲
