I totally understand! I listed off several serums in my description box that are great to use before Tretinoin to add hydration and to repair the skin barrier. I would recommend using one of those as this can really help keep the skin comfortable. I do this every single time I apply Tret and then of course I always apply a thick moisturizer on top (I also included some options in my description box). Also, you could use that "Sandwich Technique" I mentioned in the video: Moisturizer, Tretinoin (pea sized), Moisturizer. This is a life saver!!

Hello. My doctor just prescribed tretinoin .05% for me. I'm an aged man of 68 fighting for the last gasp of light before the sun goes down on me. I take your video to heart and am very glad I ran across it tonight. So far I've handled the serums and creams fairly well, though I feel them when I apply them, along with the CeraVe Retinol Serum. I'm only 3 weeks in treating myself and understand it'll take many more weeks before I start seeing results, but a long journey starts with a single step, right? Hopefully never too late. I'll Subscribe, and thanks for the excellent tutorial.
Thank you for subscribing and it's never too late to start Tretinoin or a dedicated skincare routine. Tretinoin is definitely a journey and it's something you will want to be consistent with long term. Some people see results pretty quickly and some may see results in a few months but overall, it's one of the best products to use to target multiple skin concerns. Keep up the great work👍🏻
I use Tretinoin and have found that if I ask the derm for hydrating gel base in it that works wonders for the dryness! I also put a cream called Miracle Cream on my skin with the Tretinoin and I put it on every other day. It has been a miracle in itself and people tell me all the time there is no way I am 48. I tell them, "Vampires don't age." hahaha
I am on week 2 of tretinoin and I am enjoying it. Today I started peeling a tiny little bit so I did what my Dr told me in case this happened. I do the sandwich method and ADD vaseline after. It helped with the itching and drying. I only use it every 2 days and im on 0.025.. Im still curious about the glorious effects of this wonderful cream 😍🙌🏼 can’t wait to see results!!!
@@grespinosaNot sure how it's going for you, but I benefited a LOT from using a slightly more occlusive moisturizer under my tret. I use a tiny bit of cerave skin renewing night cream and wait 20 minutes and it makes a huge difference, and works even better than the regular cerave moisturizer.
I just started my tretinoin cream 0.025% today. first time for me. I have more of an oily skin. iam new to this. thank you for ur tips. I really appreciate it.
Avoid tret around eyes because it will destroy your oil ducts and give you chronic dry eye! I believe most pamphlets that come with your meds will tell you to avoid the eye area
It seems a lot of people don't know that about how it can destroy the meibomian glands permanently and actually does... People have reported going to the eye doctor and getting a meibomian gland scan and there are many reports of most of their glands being destroyed. It seems many think the concern with tretinoin around the eyes is the irritation to the sensitive skin when the truth is much worse than that. Even bakuchiol which works in a similar way can cause meibomian gland dysfunction.
I go the opposite way! I've been using tretinoin for over 10 years, so for me it's all about slugging that tret in at night with Aquafor! Amazing results - but only for those long term tretinoin users, or you'll have a very bad time with irritation. Slugging is also incredible for peptides, they really seem to benefit from getting occluded.
My skin can only tolerate tret 4 times a week max. And the best method for me is applying it 30 minutes after my full evening routine, basically after my moisturizer is completely absorbed without any damp feeling. I think giving it a 30 min gap can work best with other skincare actives, because I also use copper peptide based serum in my evening skincare.
@@jenmessier2195 yes it does work. I've used tret on and off since 5 years ago. Because the downside of dried and flaky skin never seemed to end after 1 year so I decided to stop. And I can see where's the difference when I stopped using it. I tried several methods. And I was eager too try it this way since January, my skin was peeled for the first 2 months. But now, I can see some improvements on the appearance of my pores and fine lines, no rough texture, faster healing when I get pimples and combining it with peptide somehow makes my skin feel firmer.
@@jenmessier2195 sure. I would also suggest at least 4 points when using it: don't use it on damp skin; don't use it after oil based/emollient moisturizer it may prevent absorption; don't layer too many products and give at least 1 day off for exfoliation, it helps with skin cell turnover. Best of luck.
I’m 31 and never used any prescription skincare before. Just got my .025 scrip, I’m so excited!! I just have a feeling I’m gonna be so happy with my skin. Your video helped tremendously. ❤❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I started the same way you did and omg it burned my skin and was so sensitive so I stopped for a couple weeks and now I only apply once a week for now again ty 😀
My dermatologist just started me on tretinoin gel .01% This was my first night, and she told me to use it every night, but I'm just going to start Mondays & Wednesdays. I have oily skin with large pores and texture with some breakouts here and there, and some hyperpigmentation and forehead wrinkles. I double cleanse and apply a snail essence and a hydrating serum. Let that sink in and dry, then put the tretinoin gel on, but I think I need the cream cause this gel is balling up
I’ve sensitive skin and have built up to 2 - 3 x a week using Retin A 0.025. May go up to .050 soon. Been using for years & my skin is amazing. I use on the neck, back of hands, around the eyes & above the mouth.
I’m so happy I found this bc I was using it directly on my dry skin before any moisturizer. My skin is so freaking dry!!! I used it around my eyes and neck. 😢😢how do we fix wrinkles around the eyes then?
I use it under my eyes and to the outside for crow's feet -- many people do. Some, like me, can apply it directly while others apply moisturizer before and after with 20 minutes drying time between the layers. Some are sensitive and can't do it, and the literature says no - so try at your own risk.
This is my second try on trentinoin. Last year I watched many videos and decided that my skin was strong and applied on entire face and hardly used spf. This caused red, flaky and inflamed skin around my mouth and the corners of my eyes had tight flaky skin. My entire face was flaking and itchy. I didn’t experience much acne from it 2/3 pimples that was all. I stopped using it and am trying it again taking extra precautions. I have started applying Vaseline on areas where I shouldn’t apply it then going in with trentinoin on other areas. I am now to the point where I started slowly working some trentinoin over to the Vaseline areas by using the Vaseline as a sort of base. This has been working for me. The only thing I have experienced so far is flaky skin and minor itchy crawly feeling. No redness, no acne.
One thing I'd emphasise as a user of tretinoin, let that skin completely dry before applying tretinoin, dont dry your skin with towel. Applying sunscreen, plz dont walk outside without sunscreen. All the best on your tretinoin journey ❤
the sandwich method is the best. Wash your face, dry with towel and put on a thin layer of moisturizer, wait for 30 minutes for the moisturizer to absorb and the skin to dry and then put on tretinoin and again a thick layer of moisturizer
After watching Dr. Dray videos, I've learn how to moisture correctly( Damp skin) and how important was to use sunscreen ( every single day). I moved to Portugal and ask my dermatologist for a tretinoin prescription and he gave a 0,5%...wow😅 I did start slow doing the sandwich and everything is perfect, I'm 43 years old and my skin looks fantastic. I'm very happy
Starting off using cerave moidturiser in the tub is great to apply first before tretinoin. I did that the first few months and I recto, end that. I did this every night.
Me too, Cera Ve then 0.5 tret doing good after 4 months so far..sunscreen every morning Tret at night and I use ROCretinol for eyes around my eyes and on upper eye bones below brows
Ok so you can do 5 step Korean regime. Wash tone with a moisture toner use serum and essence then retina then cream. I'm using .25 they say that is better for darker skin as irritated dark skin is hypopigmention prone.
I m 43 and bought Tretinoin cream today prescribed by my dermatologist. I was thinking whether it is too late to start using it? I have hyperpigmentation skin. Hopefully, this will help fade them out.
Thanks really helpful. I’ve been using RetinA for over 10 years now. I have been experimenting over the years. So depending on how my skin is(usually very dry but prone to acne) I have to adjust the application. This might be useful to some people: I use the 0.1 gel about once every week or once a fortnight depending. I apply a liberal amount of 2 -3 peas leave to soak in and then moisturise. Do not wash with anything other than water for at least 48hrs no makeup and lots of oil based moisture and nothing else. My skin goes red then peels and looks fabulous for a couple of weeks. It’s my deep exfoliation The other method I like is once or twice a week with a lower concentration of 0.05 and focusing on just the areas I want to treat. Lines round the corners of my mouth and eyes or spots. This doesn’t peel or become too red and I can still apply makeup I would not use any cleanser other than an oil based cleanser because Tretinoin doesn’t like water based products and NO other actives!! Be careful and if you damage your barrier apply Vaseline to protect the skin while it repairs
@@olga_b344 The 0.025 would be better to try on the neck as the 0.05 could be too aggressive but you also may find the 0.025 may be too irritating as well. Only now am I able to be more consistent with Tretinoin on my neck and it took a long time to get here. Prior to using Tret on my neck I was using Retinols. The neck can be such a sensitive area.
Tretinoin is like BBQ: Low and Slow is the way to go! I started it again after a few years, and I thought that I could apply it nightly, since I had already been on it once before. Nope! Within 3 days, I had red marks on my orbital bone. Took a week off to repair my skin barrier, then I used a combination of Skin Cycling from Dr. Whitney Bowe, and Dr. Sam Ellis’ Tret introduction. My skin loved that, and I am on my third week of using it 5x a week. Day 6 I exfoliate and Day 7 is my Recovery Night
I'd used differin for so long that I was able to start tretanoin .025 at 3 x week with the only flaking being the sides of my chin, so I use a moisturizer in that spot first. AND I use it from the nipples up, as well as on the tops of my hands! (ie decolletage, neck, face - including around my mouth and under eyes)
I started at .025 as well. Up to .1 now. . Use 4 % niacinamide and 15% azalaic acid with it. Can now use it both under my eyes and top half of my neck. Upper eye area and lower neck are still off limits for Trentoin
Azelaic Acid is great for redness, acne prone skin and Niacinamide is great for oily skin, acne and to fade dark spots. Pairing these up with Tretinoin can increase results for some skin types with specific skin concerns.
@@SincerelyMissAshpls let me know how will i pair up azelic acid with tretnoin? Should i use together both? Pls advise and also i m using stieviaA trtnoin from last 6/7 months and still getting acne sometimes cystic is it normal?

Im 64yo & i LOVE this stuff!!! Yes it will irritate so i put a bit of vitamin E cream first. I used it on my neck & chest BUT THE VITAMIN E IS A MUST!. No eye area. I use it at night & for day i use vitamin E & aloe vera bc the sun can caused irritation.
I started retin A three days in a row and two days rest, method is after cleansing and pat dry apply my toner and ordinary niacinamide serum and wait for 30 minutes then apply moisturizer and retin A (0.025) Azelaic acid and after one hour my rice night cream
Thank you for the video. Did you purge when you went from a low dose to a higher dose? I used Tretinoin and didn't experience major purge, just a couple pimples that came and left. And 2 months later I stopped Tretinoin. I want to start it up again (it's been 2 months without it) but I am worried that I might purge because it's been a while. I never purged the first, time does that mean I wouldn't the second go around? I wanted to use it 3 to 4 times a week versus 7 days, would it still be effective? I HAVE THE 0.025% Blessings~
Hi. Just got my prescription for tretinoin. Dermatologist said “start in the Fall”. I do understand the wisdom of that. However I wear sunscreen and have been using retinol for few years e.g. Paula’s choice maelove etc. excited to start once a week. My question is: is it good to start using in summer or not. What is your opinion?
As long as you're diligent about applying suncreen every 2 hours when you're outdoors, and you're using a good sunscreen you should be fine to start in the summer. I'm a Skincare junkie and I always wear SPF50 and a wide brim hat when I'm out on the lake or a basecall cap when I'm out running errands.
Agree with all your tips. Pea size amount is sufficient for the entire face. The rest I always put on the back of my hands - I see quite some improvement there too.
Hi, I wonder how long did it takes for you from the beginning of your skin started to irritate until your skin better (no more dry/improved). Thx for your tips :)
I used the washing it off method over the first week. Never had any problems, but I think my skin is quite resilient as I can also easily use it in my neck. I also use it every night and vitamin c in the morning.
@@miatortillaa I applied the Tretinoin for 5 min and then washed off. I did this for three nights then upped it to 10 min for three days, 20 min, 40 min, an hour, etc. When Id used it for 2 hours for three nights, I left it overnight with no problems. I had been using Skinceuticals retinol 1 for about 4 months before this. It’s a milder over the counter retinol. Good luck, it really is worth it!
My prescription is a tretinoin that the pharmacy mixes on their own. It only last for about 3m after opening. That means that I have absolutely no irritation for a few months, after that my skin starts to peel and be itchy. If you know you cant use it all in a time period, just use it on the rest of your body
Way back when I started Tretinoin to find that it caused my skin to get flaky. A friend recommended using the Tretinoin at bed time and use a moisturizer with alpha hydroxy in the morning. The latter seemed to tame the flakiness.
I havent had any irritation with the cream, i heard the gel is more harsh. I am 58 for sunspots and wrinkles. I put on ample amounts without issue. Only every month i use the little razor to remove dry flakiness, which i believe is the process. Also,I apply it everywhere, again without issue. Good luck, I've had good results with correcting discoloration, i am in the sun all day everyday.
Contrary to popular belief, using tretinoin on the thin areas like your eyelids is very important! Otherwise, you'll keep the rest of your face youthful while those areas just keep aging - not a good look! The key is to take it a lot slower until the day it can handle it like the rest of your face. Just dilute it in skin moisturizer.
Miss Ash. I just started using Tretinol to help alleviate my acne scars due to my former severe acne. I use Up&Up Invigorating Facial Cleanser daily. Can I keep using this product or should I only be using Tretinol and a moisturizer? Also, I apply a clay face mask about once a week. Should I avoid masks?
One you’re done with a tube, give yourself 3-6 week break. Do other things to repair the barrier. Azelaic acid etc. Then re-begin. It will maximize the wrong term benefits as opposed to using it with no pause ever.
Can I continue using my Paula's Choice Clear line that also includes a 2.0% leave on Salicylic Acid exfoliant during the days I do not use Tretinoin and avoid Paula's products on the days I use Tretinoin? Blessings~
What moisturizer do you recommend to use the sandwich technique? I was just prescribed Tretinoin and I've never used facial skin care in my life. I don't even put makeup on. I was recommended Cerave Facial PM, but I'm pretty sure that has an acid right?
The Cerave PM is a great option and there is no direct acids to irritate the skin more when using Tretinoin. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which hydrates. I love this cream but since you are new you may not find it moisturizing enough, especially if you start developing dryness. I would recommend picking up the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. This is richer and more repairing and a better option for the winter months. Having both options is nice depending on your skin needs.
I have one burning question! Do you HAVE to rinse tretinoin or retinol off in the morning with water? I'm a lazy gal when it comes to my morning routine - I normally just slap on some sunscreen and moisturizer before I leave the house (I don't wash my face in the morning as I have very dry skin). I know on the tretinoin box it says to rinse off in the morning, which was one of the main reasons I stopped using it, as I just kept forgetting! Would love any insight 😊🙏
Thank you so much for sharing, I've been putting off starting mu low dose die to fear of it wrecking havok on my skin but i feel more confident now! However, I know you apply it at night, but do you wash it off with a cleanser in the morning? I shower mornings so I i am curious to know if I'm going to have issues with keeping it on if im not allowed to wash it off. Also... recommendations for best drug store moisturizers and sunscreen for folks like myself who can't quite afford the more expensive choices? Thank you again!

I loveee your tips!! The sandwich method has gotten me through my tretinoin journey!! I started out back in January on 0.025 I have built up my tolerance to 0.05 and also I layer my Azelaic Acid with it at night with the sandwich method I use illyoon Korean cream that’s Amazing!!!
YAY!!! That is so amazing to hear.. It definitely takes time and patience is key but it sounds like your skin is adjusting well 😊 Keep it up👍🏻
Literally my exact routine and products lol
Thank you for sharing this info. I’ll will begin using Tretinoin tonight for the first time. I’m 55 years old. I wish I started using it in my 30’s.
It's never too late to start😉
Starting at 55 as well 👍
I just started at 48 I never pay attention about aging until now. God blessed you all
I just started Monday. I'm 51 and wish I had started years ago too
I always used 0.025 on my face and due to low percentage able to use it on my neck too. No irritation at all. I also use led light too. It really helps preventing wrinkles. From my own experience I believe you dont need to use higher percentages for it to work.
Red light or what kind of led?
Totally agree! Lower strength enables consistency which is more important than concentration!
I am new. Having even made one application. 😅 Whats the LED light for?
@@LeighCrutchRed light therapy can Improve skin and mood and reduce pain anywhere
Totally agree with you, I’m on 0.025% since 10 years
I tried at 0.05% without any problems. I started slowly.
Me too i started 0.05 3 to 4 days with moisturizer and sunscreen 😊👍🏻👌🏻
I am on week 2 of tretinoin and I am enjoying it. Today I started peeling a tiny little bit so I did what my Dr told me in case this happened. I do the sandwich method and ADD vaseline after. It helped with the itching and drying. I only use it every 2 days and im on 0.025.. Im still curious about the glorious effects of this wonderful cream 😍🙌🏼 can’t wait to see results!!!
1 month update?
@@grespinosaNot sure how it's going for you, but I benefited a LOT from using a slightly more occlusive moisturizer under my tret. I use a tiny bit of cerave skin renewing night cream and wait 20 minutes and it makes a huge difference, and works even better than the regular cerave moisturizer.
Did you apply the Vaseline on your whole face?
LIfe saving info that doctors never tell. THANKS
💗💗
I just started my tretinoin cream 0.025% today. first time for me. I have more of an oily skin. iam new to this. thank you for ur tips. I really appreciate it.
How's was your experience
Thank you ! Struggled with acne my whole life, this helps alot, goal to dream skin!!!
I use 0.5% and the cream name Acretin Saudi product 6 days and one for make the face relax just a break. Its a wholesome product ❤
Is Acretin effective...what is your experience?
I had to come here and thank you! My dark eyes are clearing up
That is great to hear 💗
How are you wyes clearing up if youre not allowed to put it there?
Avoid tret around eyes because it will destroy your oil ducts and give you chronic dry eye! I believe most pamphlets that come with your meds will tell you to avoid the eye area
You most certainly can and should use it on the eyes. I've been doing it for 5 years and many derms agree as long as you can tolerate it.
@@JH-ii8xm studies show it can destroy your oil ducts, beware. Use something like Aklief if you must!
false, it's designed to treat crows feet and is used to treat dry eyes!
Been using it ALL over face and eyes...13 years. Not one wrinkle on me. 54 years old.
Do you find you are still getting visible results this way? I just started my journey....
@@cherrypinkblue ok perfect thank you. I might try that and use it as the last step in my skin care routine!
@@cherrypinkblue love it thank you!
I’m 31 and never used any prescription skincare before. Just got my .025 scrip, I’m so excited!! I just have a feeling I’m gonna be so happy with my skin. Your video helped tremendously. ❤❤
Aw that is amazing to hear!! So happy you found the video helpful :)
Always do research before jumping in and always go slow. Wear your sunblock as well.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I started the same way you did and omg it burned my skin and was so sensitive so I stopped for a couple weeks and now I only apply once a week for now again ty 😀
You're so welcome.. We live and learn that's for sure lol but the results are great😉
Thank you! Very helpful! Especially the sandwich technique.
Glad it was helpful! Thee Sandwich technique is game changing👌🏻
Thank you for this wonderful information!! About to start my own Tretinoin journey.
Aw I am so glad you found the video helpful🥰
Best of luck on your Tretinoin journey!!
Let that sink in and dry, then put the tretinoin gel on, but I think I need the cream cause this gel is balling up
I would suggest waiting 30 minutes per product let each product have time to absorb
Ten minutes in between is plenty
I’ve sensitive skin and have built up to 2 - 3 x a week using Retin A 0.025. May go up to .050 soon. Been using for years & my skin is amazing. I use on the neck, back of hands, around the eyes & above the mouth.
Is it better to work up to where you're using 0.025 daily or switching to 0.05 and staying at 2 - 3x per week?
Tretinoin dries out skin so if you're using it it's extremely extremely important use to moisturize your skin
How long should u wait for the next layer of moisturizer after applying tretinoin
Thank you for all your advice I really appreciate it! By the way your skin looks awesome I just started my journey hopefully I'll look as good as you😊
Thank you very much🥰 Best of luck on your journey and remember "consistency is key" 😉
I started a week ago. Im having issues around my nose. I have super dry skin anyways.
After watching Dr. Dray videos, I've learn how to moisture correctly( Damp skin) and how important was to use sunscreen ( every single day).
I moved to Portugal and ask my dermatologist for a tretinoin prescription and he gave a 0,5%...wow😅
I did start slow doing the sandwich and everything is perfect, I'm 43 years old and my skin looks fantastic.
I’m 59 years old and I use threaten knowing every night I break on the weekends and my skin never look better❤
I use a moisturizer prior to using the tretinoin and that helped with the irritation.
Which moisturizer is good. Do you apply two times before and after applying tetrinoin?
I m 43 and bought Tretinoin cream today prescribed by my dermatologist. I was thinking whether it is too late to start using it? I have hyperpigmentation skin. Hopefully, this will help fade them out.
I also found tretinoin to be the best thing I've done for my skin, after sunscreen.
Yes!! Love hearing that 😉
Thanks really helpful. I’ve been using RetinA for over 10 years now. I have been experimenting over the years. So depending on how my skin is(usually very dry but prone to acne) I have to adjust the application. This might be useful to some people:
I use the 0.1 gel about once every week or once a fortnight depending. I apply a liberal amount of 2 -3 peas leave to soak in and then moisturise. Do not wash with anything other than water for at least 48hrs no makeup and lots of oil based moisture and nothing else. My skin goes red then peels and looks fabulous for a couple of weeks. It’s my deep exfoliation
The other method I like is once or twice a week with a lower concentration of 0.05 and focusing on just the areas I want to treat. Lines round the corners of my mouth and eyes or spots. This doesn’t peel or become too red and I can still apply makeup
I would not use any cleanser other than an oil based cleanser because Tretinoin doesn’t like water based products and NO other actives!!
Be careful and if you damage your barrier apply Vaseline to protect the skin while it repairs
Thanks so much for your video! Sorry if I missed it - What strength of tretinoin do you use? 0.5 or higher?
Thanks again for sharing! ❤
No need to apologize.. I am currently using the 0.05% strength 🥰
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you - and do you think it’s good to get the 0.025 to put on your neck given 0.05 may be too aggressive?
Love your channel!
Exfoliate? U use aha bha peel?
I use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution
I'd used differin for so long that I was able to start tretanoin .025 at 3 x week with the only flaking being the sides of my chin, so I use a moisturizer in that spot first. AND I use it from the nipples up, as well as on the tops of my hands! (ie decolletage, neck, face - including around my mouth and under eyes)
Thanks for the tips you almost covered everything like a doctor🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕💕
You are so welcome!🥰
Glad I found this channel. Is Aquafor a good moisturizer to sandwich with Tret?
I started at .025 as well. Up to .1 now. . Use 4 % niacinamide and 15% azalaic acid with it. Can now use it both under my eyes and top half of my neck. Upper eye area and lower neck are still off limits for Trentoin
What does the azalaic acid and niacinamide do with Tret?
That is great to hear!! Love pairing Azelaic Acid with Tret👍🏻
Azelaic Acid is great for redness, acne prone skin and Niacinamide is great for oily skin, acne and to fade dark spots. Pairing these up with Tretinoin can increase results for some skin types with specific skin concerns.
Yess me too. Amazing what skin can adapt to, and turn something initially irritating into something so beneficial.
@@SincerelyMissAshpls let me know how will i pair up azelic acid with tretnoin? Should i use together both? Pls advise and also i m using stieviaA trtnoin from last 6/7 months and still getting acne sometimes cystic is it normal?
I wash, tone with witch hazel, niacinamide serum, let it dry, then dot dot dot of Tret. Pea size amount.. mix a little bit of moisturizer and mix it in ... I use aquafor on the corners of my mouth and nose to avoid breakout...
Trying to put in on my neck once a week for three weeks now. No irritation so far 🤞🤞 i heard tret users regret not putting it on their neck after yrs of use.
I peeled for about 8 months but I didn’t give up. Now my skin is “retinised “ and I have no problem at all. The secret is consistency.
Amazing vid thanks!
Thank you so much Miss Ash this was super helpful as I’m just about to start my Tretinoin journey

Thank you sooo much!! I have been having a terrible experience with tretinoin! How long did it take you to recover after you discovered the do’s and don’t!?
I always start like I can do more than once a week, then fail because the dryness and peeling. I’m sticking to once a week for a month! Haha it’s worth it. Thanks for the video!

The STIEVA A is not available in Toronto Canada right now. Hopefully it comes back but i think its so good that it will return bc its that good!
The rest I always put on the back of my hands - I see quite some improvement there too.
yes when pathologists examine a body to determine age the first thing they look at is the back of hands rather than face
I find that it doesnt spread on dry skin though so i have to use more
so helpful, thank you!! xx
Can you please explain this method? Do you mean you use it like a mask for some time then rinse off? Thank you so much
@@miatortillaa I applied the Tretinoin for 5 min and then washed off.

My prescription is a tretinoin that the pharmacy mixes on their own. It only last for about 3m after opening. That means that I have absolutely no irritation for a few months, after that my skin starts to peel and be itchy.
If you know you cant use it all in a time period, just use it on the rest of your body
Great video😊 is ketrel cream a good tretenoin pls? Thanks so much
Way back when I started Tretinoin to find that it caused my skin to get flaky. A friend recommended using the Tretinoin at bed time and use a moisturizer with alpha hydroxy in the morning. The latter seemed to tame the flakiness.
Hello Ash nice to see you again thank you very helpful 🙏🏽👍
My pleasure! Thank you for watching 💗💗
Hi, your information was very helpful, thank you. 🥰 How long did it take you to switch from 0.025% to 0.05% tretinoin?
Thank you so much 🥰 I waited about 2 years. I wasn't in a hurry to up my strength.
Plz don't spread fake and unauthentic misinformation.....
@Nofear27 that was my experience i was sharing, not fake, not inauthentic.
What’s a Good moisturizer ??
any basic moisturiser like Cetaphil; QV; CeraVe; Eucertin; Aveeno etc
Very helpful 👌 thankyou
Does the moisturizer render the tretinoin less affective?
Thanks Ash for sharing your experience and my skin is very sensitive and I use once a week with my moisturizer first and then I use my retinol 🙏🏽👍
What moisturiser or other products do you use and how do you apply once face is washed xx
Is it possible not to have any irritation at all? Or is it a clear sign that the tretinoin I use is counterfeit?
side effects are not compulsory. I had none.
Blessings~
Thank you so much for the video! It was super helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you🥰
Do you have an under eye treatment regime?
Hi, thank you for your information. I am a new subscriber from Perth Western Australia. Can
you please tell me will this work on Puffy under eyes ?
Yay Perth 👏
@SincerelyMissAsh Thank you so much for the response! I will definitely look into that for sure. I'll get both then.
Is this product good for sun damage skin and black spots aging spots as well ??
I have one burning question! Do you HAVE to rinse tretinoin or retinol off in the morning with water? I'm a lazy gal when it comes to my morning routine - I normally just slap on some sunscreen and moisturizer before I leave the house (I don't wash my face in the morning as I have very dry skin). I know on the tretinoin box it says to rinse off in the morning, which was one of the main reasons I stopped using it, as I just kept forgetting! Would love any insight 😊🙏
Yes you must cleanse your skin in the morning if you had tretinoin on the night before
I've been using tretinoin 0.25 cream (pea amount) every night for about a month. My skin has turned rough and grainy. Is it supposed to do that?
Thank you so much for sharing, I've been putting off starting mu low dose die to fear of it wrecking havok on my skin but i feel more confident now! However, I know you apply it at night, but do you wash it off with a cleanser in the morning? I shower mornings so I i am curious to know if I'm going to have issues with keeping it on if im not allowed to wash it off. Also... recommendations for best drug store moisturizers and sunscreen for folks like myself who can't quite afford the more expensive choices? Thank you again!
Yes! Cleanse your skin in the morning and then go in with your regular morning routine😉
Hi , am from India
Have started using this product since last month
Once a week in sandwich method
When can I increase the frequency of this and go on to the next concentration?
I wasn't sure if it was mentioned. How long to wait after applying the first moisturizer before we apply tretinoin?
I read somewhere, If in doubt, wait between 15-20 min and that’s what I do now.
Thanks!
I am using the stronger Retin A along with Obagi number 5. My skin still looks very dull and wrinkley. When I used it years ago I think I loved it. I was so excited to try it again. Help! I'm so upset about it!
I started with .025 no issues. Then I switched ti tri luma. For 3 months. Now, I am on .05. I have never had any issues. Very weird.
That is amazing to hear!
Hello, thank you for this video. I am about to start using 0.025% as I approach my 60th birthday. I have good skin for the most part and have been noticing a few faint wrinkles. From what I understand, 6 months is when our skin starts to show the benefits. Would you say this is accurate?
Hi there!!
We are all different and some of us may see results sooner or later. 6 months is a good number as this gives the product time to adjust to your skin and to work with consistent use. 3-6 months is when I started noticing a change with my skin.
I have been using tretinoin for Approximately 30 years. Definitely have to start slowly. I now use 0.1 daily. I have NO WRINKLES. I am 73 years old. My issue is jowls and neck which i now apply tretinoin, but is very irritating and inching..
