- Remixed and extended from master tracks. I gave this the kind of intro they play live, and the special bit in the second verse. The mix has been given a louder bass guitar (Cliff FTW!) and a slight boost to high frequecies. Play it loud! \m/

This sounds way better than the recent re-issue on CD. I have a 1987 Music for Nations RTL on vinyl that and the 1987 Elecktra Columbia House CD both sound great. This is like hearing the album for the very first time. Good job! Sad that the record companies and even the band can't release something this good or better. They the resources to do great but they let us down most of the time with remasters.

There was a game a few years back, called Guitar Hero: Metallica. It used original master tracks, which could be extracted and uploaded to UA-cam. I simply downloaded those tracks from UA-cam and used them for my mixes.

Where did you get the master tracks?
They're on UA-cam (search for song title + "bass only", "drums only" etc.) Those track were extracted by people from Guitar Hero: Metallica game. I just recorded the audio from those videos and used Adobe Audition multitrack.
the hi-hat sounds much weaker though.

For me, and for many other people, the bass was buried in the mix. We'd hear a growl here and there, but a lot of Cliff's amazing work went unnoticed.
