As a kid me and some friends road across the MLK bridge in the 70s many times on our bicycles to go to the island from west port arthur during the summer. Once we road over the rainbow bridge to bridge city when it was a two lane . Got a good start on the 10 speed and kept pumping going down was crazy as hell. Slowed traffic down but no cops came. We would have did it more but the ride was to far from westside of Port Arthur. True story rip to my friends back then that road together. I'm 61 years old now I also work on the stratosphere in Las Vegas 90s all the way up to top off. That structure is solid concrete. Remember con air Nickolas Cage. That's it.

This is similar to the Sunshine Skyway here in Florida. I was in the delivery business here for years and as I got older I would sometimes get panic attacks when driving over bridges. Didn't have to use it much ,but when I did I would pull over into the rest area. I would get out walk around and take some deep breaths. I would wait until there was no traffic coming before I would proceed over it. I would get in the left lane do about 45 mph . As I got toward the top I would feel less panicked and get back in the right lane. Only way I could do it.

I was sooo adventurous when I was younger, but once I became a mother I started getting scared, like if something happens to me, what happens to my baby?😬 Who will be there for him? Lol, I know I mind-fucked myself though, so I'm gonna face my fears and cross a bridge this summer!💪🏾 (But I'm not gonna drive myself, I'm gonna get somebody else to drive me. Baby steps 🙄🤣🤣)
