I drove this exact route last week going to Port Arthur! I had went over this bridge on a school field trip back in 1999. Last week was my first time actually driving over it. All I can say is I was relieved when I started going downhill lol.
I used to eat at that restaurant at the base of the Rainbow Bridge back in the early 80s. Had great BBQ crabs. The bridge still makes me nervous, but not nearly as much as the two-direction version before the new span.
Regan... At the 1:24 mark in the video, you passed one of the best Cajun restaurants around....!!! Judice’s Cajun Cafe’ (next door to Market Basket) has the best Cajun food EVER...!!!
Kelley, I’m with you on the bridge thing! Lived n NC and we had several like this. You’d go straight up and straight down. At the top you Literally couldn’t see the down section. It truly felt like a rollercoaster!!! Why cause when you were done with one, you hit number two! Yuck!

There's one like this Bridge North of Mobile I-65. It's Name is The Dolly Parton Bridge. lol

We have one in virginia Harry Nice Bridge but it was dem9l8shed and a new one was bu8lt
