Yeah, this video was more so mildly infuriating for things like that. Like what is happening at 3:11. Diverging diamond interchange apparently? But instead the narrator talks about the name of the junction and how it's named John F. Kennedy but not for JFK himself but for the bridge named after JFK... which would mean it's still named after JFK... so redundant

@Yasin Razak Yeah I'm interested in astronomy and some time ago I learned there was an asteroid named Mr. Spock - but the article in which I read that claimed it was NOT named after the character in the original Star Trek series. Umm, what? It turns out it was named after a cat owned by the astronomer who discovered the asteroid. He named his cat Mr. Spock because the cat had ears similar to Mr. Spock's. Well then the asteroid was named after Mr. Spock after all wasn't it?

Gravelly Hill Junction (the ORIGINAL Spaghetti Junction) is so complex as it had to deal with the M6 motorway, the A38(M) and A5127 from the centre of Birmingham ,the A5127 to Sutton Coldield and the A38 Tyburn Road. At the same time, the roadways had to avoid a canal, a railway line and what was the Nechells Power Station.

There are also some mind blowing Interchanges from germany:
    - the Autobahndreieck Funkturm in Berlin (A100 and A115),
    - the Horster Dreieck near Hamburg (A1 and A7),
    - the Sonnborner Kreuz in Wuppertal (A46, A535, B228 and L74)
    - the Schkeuditzer Kreuz (from 1936) between Leipzig and Halle (A9 and A14)
    and some others ...

Another favourite in Germany: Duisburg-Kaiserberg. There was not enough space to build a regular cloverleaf motorway junction, because of existing railway lines, houses and water. So they had to fit all the ramps into one of the four sections, resulting in three or four levels of Spaghetti.
Oh, and not to forget Wetzlarer Kreuz with its high capacity direct ramps for each connection, looking pretty much like some of the examples from the US in this video. Ironically, one of the two motorways it connects has never been continued beyond the first two and a half or so kilometres...

One interesting motorway interchange in Australia is in BRISBANE where the Legacy Way tunnel, Clem7 Tunnel and the Airport Link M7 tunnel connects with the Bowen Bridge Road and Kingsford Smith Drive. So there is a very dense spiral like spaghetti junction with 3 major motorways immediately disappearing underground into tunnels that traverse the entire city. You emerge from one tunnel, do a spiral in the sky and then vanish into a completely different tunnel. It's quite amazing and helps greatly in dealing with traffic in a city with narrow surface level streets.

Someday, when we have only autonomous vehicles on the road, all of them would likely be operated by an AI / GPS cloud of some kind connected to every autonomous vehicle operating on every highway. Like air traffic control, the AI highway cloud would control the autonomous vehicle's speed, the best routes to take to avoid congestion, and increase overall highway efficiency. Autonomous taxis might be what many people in the future will choose instead of owning a vehicle. I suspect these autonomous taxis would be driving people 24 hours a day except for maintenance, cleaning, and charging. So I believe these taxis will be available and nearby most everyone someday and cheaper than owning a vehicle. To access the interior of the autonomous taxi, you would simply slide something like a credit card across the door of the autonomous taxi, identifying you and charging your account for today's use of the autonomous taxi - the door to the autonomous vehicle opens. I believe these autonomous taxis will be made extra durable with windows that perhaps can't break and other features to protect the chasis of the autonomous taxi from vandalism.

Gigantic interchanges have three significant drawbacks: 1) They are crazy expensive to build and maintain 2) They cause a ton of kilometers-long overruns for cars. You can't just turn left, you need to pass 3 spirals and 2 ramps to do it. So, more time, more gasoline, more noise and air pollution. 3) They still don't prevent traffic jams: China, Japan, London, California - they all seriously suffer from it despite interchanges they built.
