Thank you for making these videos for us Finna. I’m glad I found your channel. It’s been helping me out a lot. I just got FL and have been trying to learn how to master my stuff. The rest is nothing compared to mastering for me haha. Also, I want to throw this out there for anyone looking for a good pair of headphones. I’m not a sponsor by any means, just someone who’s always broke and wanting to help others out. I just got a pair of JBL headphones today and the sound quality is great. They’re also really comfy. Right now they are half off on the website, so yeah. Just throwin that out there for anyone who needs good headphones for a decent price. Not sure how long the sale is going for, but they do have payment plans of $12 if you are that broke right now but still want to order before the sale ends. Thank you again Finna for these videos. I’ve been watching you for a few weeks now and I’ve already learned a lot from you. I really appreciate you making this info available for us.
@@hxnnid Well, by definition an industry engineer is an engineer in the industry. You most certainly can become an industry engineer without the latest gear.
12:20 I actually did that in a beat before and it sounded dope. It's really a creative thing whether you want the extra note there or not. Could sound good either way, it depends on the beat.
@@isatntt Not what I meant. When I did that, it was playing a single note where it was cut, not a roll. It added an interesting rhythm when the 808 dropped again.
Great video my guy, like always. 0:50 the vst "trackspacer" makes this real easy. It autoducks the lowerfreq from a melody when the 808 hits. Maybe you can check it out (:

It sounds better because: 1. There using analog mixing consoles like a SSL. It sounds totally different then digital. 2. They are using analog compression and saturation from a Studer Tape Machine! 3. They don't reveal their studio tricks!
Best 808 video on youtube! But instead of just detecting pitch in edison you should do it in pitch corrector. In that way you will not just get the right tone, but the exact right semitone.
could anyone explain how to get the 808 sound that was gotten in the song miss the rage? when it hits it kind of just clips or something, i dont know how they got it to hit that hard, can anyone explain? is it just a volume thing or is there more to it? sidechaining? pls help :

I see a lot of people still using older versions of FL. What are the advantages of not updating to the current release apart from familiarity with the outdated workflow?
What do you mean by “cutting the 808s” you right clicked a button that said cut itself? What does it do exactly and why exactly are you doing that. I use ableton
feeling, do it if it feels right, just don't make the mistake of thinking that you can tune 808 slides by pitching them up an octave, they arent like normal 808s that way.

Early gang let’s go !🎶🔥
Can’t fail with a kick and open high hat hit. Ladies love that and the cowbell.
Another great way to make a really punchy 808 is to put a Transient Processor paired with a Soft Clipper on it and bring the attack up.
That’s only good if you don’t have a kick tho, it’ll clash a lot with a punchy kick if you do that so sometimes I’ll do the opposite of tjat
You give the best advice out here man, keep it up
