This stadium has to have the most eye-catching and remarkable location of all the venues in the Premier League. They're saying this fabulous stadium is the cause of UNESCO taking away the heritage status. What about the concrete eyesore (the museum) almost on Albert Dock. I don't care about UNESCO.
@@blueheart1946 that is ultimately the decision the council made. They put economic regeneration before the whims of some elite ,academic committee based overseas . And so it should. The irony is that Everton invested an additional £100m at Bramley-Moore ,preserving Dock heritage assets such as the walls themselves( much of which will be visible to visitors), the pumping station which was about to fall down, numerous amounts of street furniture, and the rail lines. The club got no thanks for that, and nearly went bankrupt in the process.
It looks like the developers missed an opportunity to create some greenery & inviting roof gardens. The red brick facade looks iconic & with more biodiversity additions to the site, it could evolve into a really interesting site. For developing the physically soft surfaces, for walking underfoot & improving the posture of elderly people. The club could be more caring by reducing the conventional pressures & strain on fans spines, hips & ankles. By providing local responsibilities for residents interested in growing gardens & leaning towards supporting real & restorative natural football grounds.
