@MegaLomanic_Stadiums to be fair I think the newer designs of the stadium now actually look really good if that's what's coming. Just when you see new flat builds for example going up here sometimes with the bare minimum, a square block basically with no details, no outdoor space, grim. And then the hat factory is referenced, which yes it's a historic building, but it's square lifeless block and not the kind of thing to cling to if this town is to change and improve. Basically I'm hoping this whole development in power court, the flats, hotel, stage etc don't cop out on the industrial essence bs to build that way.

@ for sure the benefits out weigh the cost for me. Homes are where the heart is. They could probably fill an 80k+ stadium every week, plus corporate and additional revenue streams. A new stadium will transform the club, more than upgrading St James IMO.
