- We are going to add an Amish built rough cut shed to the area behind the house. We are going with a 12' wide by 30' long shed. I dropped $500 cash down to get put into schedule. They are expecting January or February 2023 for delivery.

Great deal
What sucks is that a friend of a friend showed me his invoice from early spring 2022 and it was $3,800 plus $350 shipping. So up around a grand from this spring. But it's still the best deal I can find by a long shot for storage.
Nice quality. What kind of insulation and whats the ceiling/stud height. Thanks.
Are you familiar with reflectix. It's like bubble wrap or like a swimming pool solar cover in design.
The building that I have had a 10 foot front wall and an 8 foot back wall. Those are outside dimensions. Inside is -4.5".
@@LarryMusgrave what R value do yiu get with that
@cyclonus01 you'd need to look up Reflectix. It's different R values depending on how it's installed. In a non heated building like this, it's used to insulate the metal roof to prevent condensation and water dropping from it. You would need additional insulation if trying to heat or AC a building.
The black material inside the walls sure looked like tarpaper/felt paper.
I agree that the surface felt like the tar paper that you would lay under shingles, but there was a fluffy backing to it that I could crush and it would come back. Like there may have been an inch or so of fiberglass insulation bonded to the tar paper?
@@LarryMusgrave Very interesting. Maybe it’s a new product that serves as a vapor barrier and a bit of insulation. Possibly an alternative to the typical bubble vapor barrier.
Very expensive. I bought lumber off the Amish. Hemlock. Virtually same size shed. 750.00 for wood.
You will pay almost that much just for the treated runners to build it on here in SC.
Is this Bylers on route 18?
Yes sir. Up in New Wimington Pa.
Where are they located?
Bylers in New Wilmington Pa off of Rt 18.
