I pursue the entire Ryan's Shed Plans and had the favorite alternatives to make a shed game plan. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx28Z8z61iXUVQQPSL3K9UZJw0Hm7ylSiH Using Ryan's Shed Plans alone, the shed itself is phenomenal . I understood all the instructions more correctly with Ryan's Shed Plans. Honestly, this is an extra benefit of Ryan's Shed Plans.
who ever came up with that whole setup from the sliding trailer to the self propelled dolly with the trolleys all remote controlled needs some kind of bonus. he or she is a genius.
I absolutely appreciated this video, I was exactly what I wanted to see. I in the process of getting one and I wanted to see how it was done. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this. Having a 12x20 delivered Tuesday, so now we know how much of our fencing needs to be moved. We were in a panic about this issue. Thanx again. Mindy
Hi Shirley, this was definitely cool to watch in person! Since then my beach neighbors asked me to video delivery and set up of their shed. They wanted that since there were 2 issues getting it in their back yard, a tight squeeze between their home and the neighbors deck and then place it between 2 trees. The man used a remote controlled trailer instead of a "mule". You may enjoy watching this one as well, it's titled WILL IT FIT and it's from Nov 2015.
I just bought one, mine will be off the beaten path in the woods. Won't be this easy to place. My is sitting on gravel. These guys know what they are doing.
The Amish do some fine work and use good materials .... Great video!! That Moving Company knew what they were doing Hauling and moving that Shed around.. Great Job!!
Thank you for sharing this. Amazing!! I've seen them go down the highway, but never an actual delivery to a residence. Thanks again! God BLESS anyone driving something that LONG with that much WEIGHT in general, but ESPECIALLY through a residential neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!!!
My fellow brother driver for Derkson portable Bildings good work , I love my job enjoy making our customers happy wen I can bring them a building and set it up to there liking 😊
+S Robin Hi, I don't know what my neighbor did but I know he was very happy with the delivery and set up. Also, the shed was well made, definitely quality craftsmanship!
Impressed by the set up and delivery of these Amish sheds. They seem very sturdy from the video. Makes you see exactly what can be done when one is delivered. That guy delivered that shed like a boss! lol! Makes me interested in possibly getting a shed like that. Already built and delivered like that seems the way to go other than hiring someone or do it yourself kit. Thanks for the video!
+Rick Beckman I agree, one man drive the truck, unload the shed, take it up the driveway (without going on the grass) and set it up in the back yard. Pretty amazing skills!
I did this kind of work before. And I must say, for 1 man to do this by himself is amazing, and he makes it look so simple and easy. But they do have portable buildings that would take up that entire trailer. This outfit has some good equipment and is truly set up to do this job well.
+WooHoo2You I have another video where the man uses a remote controlled trailer instead of a "mule" like on this delivery. Apparently you can't use a mule on sandy or soft soil. The man in my other video had 2 challenges: fit it between 2 homes to get it to back yard and then place it between 2 trees. I learned a lot just from watching those 2 deliveries! Here's a link to the other video if you would like to watch: ua-cam.com/video/KhW06ZlA5Ms/v-deo.html
+Bigguss D Hi, he certainly is a professional! Since then I had learned that the "mule'" used in this video doesn't do so well on sandy or soft soil. I have watched and recorded another shed delivery and set up but a remote controlled trailer was used. If you liked this one do check out the double dilemma for the remote controlled truck, he had to squeeze it in between two houses to the back yard but then set it up between two trees. It was a nail biter at times and I was really impressed. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/KhW06ZlA5Ms/v-deo.html
My girlfriend bought a bid shed to put in her driveway ans they delivered it like this. I'm not easily amazed but this thing is REALLY amazing. You stand there and thing: "how in the heck it this being done by just ONE guy."
Hi Tom, glad you enjoyed! Since then I filmed another one but that one used a remote controlled trailer instead of the "mule" and had 2 challenges: tight squeeze between the home and neighbor's deck and then placed between 2 trees. Here's a link if you want to view it: ua-cam.com/video/KhW06ZlA5Ms/v-deo.html
I had one built and delivered by the Amish. A 30'x14' garage was delivered and placed by one guy, right on my mark where I had electric and water running underground. He used a remote controlled trailer also. In and out in less than 20 mins.

Thank you for sharing this amazing video! Very impressive! I give a standing ovation to the talented mule operator and a sweet hug to you Basia for the quality video!

It's odd this popped up in my recommended vids this morning! I have a 12x24 being delivered today and the guy delivering said the machine did all the work and that it would take about 30 minutes.
I bought a 12 x 24 shed. One man showed up at noon and left at 12:45 He brought it in and set it up including leveling in 45 minutes. All I told him was line it up with the front of the house. He said the ground was not level it was on an incline. He said he could level it with the pads that came with the shed or he could do it right if I paid for the extra pads. I said do it right. It costs me $15 for the extra pads. In and out in 45 minutes. That's American know how!
I did that for a little while for a company in Florida. But, I didn't have that equipment to work with. I just had a roll of trailer two slide ramps for the shed and a breaker bar. It sucked.
Hi, thank you! I recorded this for my hubby as we had talked about getting a shed for our backyard. The operator doing all this work asked me if I would put it on social media as he never watched himself work before. The homeowner didn't care what I do with the video. The rest is history! Have a great day!
+Craig Arndt Oh absolutely! I enjoyed watching this for sure! Since then I watched (and videoed) delivery & set up but using a remote controlled trailer instead of a mule. Apparently the mule doesn't do so well on soft or sandy soil. Same concept, one man and a trailer... Very challenging as he had to squeeze it in between two homes and then place it between two trees. Thanks for the video content! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (should be on google have a look)? It is a great one off product for building better sheds and woodworking without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my work buddy at last got cool success with it.
I just had this done 2 weeks ago. Its been raining like crazy just about every other day and I thought he was gonna drive the entire truck into the back yard and maybe end up gettin stuck. I had a tandem dumptruck with a little over 11 ton of limestone back there and he left some small ruts, but he was here when we had a break from the rain for 2 days. The sheds showed up the next day, he backed in the driveway, slid mine back, took his little forklift off, just like the one in the video, put the wheels under one end and took off with it between the house and garage and into the back yard. He set it in place and was ready to head to his next delivery. The whole process might have taken a half hour. It rained the whole nite before and half the morning. He got here around 11:30 and when he was done, there were absolutely no ruts whatsoever! The only marks in the yard were from the bars on the tires. Amazing! One thing to keep in mind is if the back of your shed is going to be close to something like the trees or a wall or whatever, when they call and tell you they're gonna be bringing it, tell them to put the doors to the back of the trailer when they load it. That way they can grab it from the door end and haul it to its spot. Just makes it a little easier for them. But if its out in the middle of the yard, then it doesn't matter.
Pretty cool, method...you mention no permit needed....same here, but now I have someone telling me I need a zoning permit for one I just built. Government always finds a way to tap you for your money....I have a zoning permit for my home I am building and a garage with a 40' container as well, but not for the shed....they never get enough do they? I haven't even put the container or the garage up yet....makes you want to snap sometimes the interference in our lives from government and over a shed no less.
Yes, this one didn't need a permit as it is a moveable structure and also is located outside of city limits. Government certainly has it's ways of interfering in our lives! Have a great weekend!
council here no permit for a 20 or 40 foot container, but if you build a movable garden shed above 2100mm then you need a permit, does not make sense to me.
Hey Earl, It's been a while since you wrote the above, but this may work for you too. In the 70's my boss and I were installing a carport for a customer. Planning dept said it was to close to the neighbors fence since it wasn't portable. We went to Montgomery Wards and got 4 casters and put one on each corner post. Made it "portable".
Thanks, but not too worried about it, I'll pay the 25 bucks for the zoning fee the guy is after rather than try to skirt it...not worth it, but it's more principle for me in that other neighbors have built without zoning permits or in violation of zoning and gotten variances. I think it's just politics or small town who you know favoritism. It is what it is....I had a zoning permit for my house and a garage and never built the garage....so I figured building a small shed would have been no issue.......I suppose the it could be a who's the boss variable as well. My father is on the planning board and actually going to a meeting tonight I asked him to see if I could also get one of those courtesy variances that was given to the others as well........or to refresh his memory about the garage on my zoning permit to build a home and garage and garage never having been built.....I'll post what he comes back with this evening....likely I'll be cutting a 25 dollar check just to be done with their nonsense.
Whether or not you need a permit depends on where you live. Always check with your local assessor's office. I briefly lived in one town in my state where they required a permit for a doghouse, a dog run over 6 feet, and even any section of fence longer than 4 feet. If you live in an area that requires a permit and gail to get one, the fees/fines/penalties cand add up to more than the cost of your shed in no time. I've lived in seversl states and some cities/counties start off with as much as a $10,000 fine for failure to obtain a permit and add daily fines and penalties from there. Yes, there are places where a "mobile" shed doesn't require a permit, but better safe than sorry. By the way, some jurisdictions even require you to remove the structure untill the permit is obtained and that is on top of the fines etc that they have already charged. Some places even require you to place an announcement in the local news paper (to allow neighbors and those in your area to speak against your installation for what ever reason like "obstruction of their view") and may also require a surveyor's report be submitted for "flood impact possibilities". Government has gotten out of control!
tisiluca Well said. People forget that government at any level is made up of people, put there by people, sometimes by money and power, sometimes by vote, and it could had been by you, if you voted. The People don't like it, or something it does? People either work to fix what People don't like or People don't.
Excellent video ! Beautiful man cave !! Enjoy !! Mine was delivered by CLOWNS. No where NEAR level on a pile of stone, dumped it and never came back to level it. I waited for them to show up .... Did it myself. Came out beautiful. I just hate being screwed over. I got $300 off for my aggravation .... People wonder why I want EVERYTHING in writing .....
That is pretty nifty, and a lot better of a setup than what they do here. People here who sell sheds like this drag them on the back of a flatbed tow truck, transport them, then slide them off wherever the truck can fit. Fine and dandy if you have an easy spot for a tow truck with a big tall shed on it to get to, but otherwise you're in trouble. Of course, the shed places here overcharge. A shed you can build for around $1200 they sell for $6000 if you pay cash or about $10,000 if you "rent to own".
I had 2 8x8 Amish built barns delivered to a duplex that is a rental July 2019. Same equipment. They also removed an old 10x12. From arrival to departure... 61 minutes. I was blown away 😊
Just thinking the same! I know trucks here use fork lift mules attached to the rear of a semi trailer, but don't think they use them for shed, workshop or garage deliveries. Great video Basia Today, Thanks 👍
Hi, glad to share this, I was impressed too! I made another video (per the homeowners request) where the delivery man actually uses his remote controlled trailer to squeeze the shed between 2 homes and then place it between two trees. That video was from Nov 2015 and is titled: Will it fit? Delivery and set up of large shed
Always fun to watch. I used to work for a shed building company and did my share of escorts on deliveries like this. It never ceased to amaze me as I watched the drivers maneuver these buildings around. Good catch.
Yeah, it's really awesome to watch a professional at work! Since that delivery I made another video (per request from the homeowner). This one was at the beach on sandy soil. I learned that you can't use the "mule" because the soil is too soft and they will sink. Anyway, in this video the guy used a remote controlled trailer to squeeze the shed between two properties (tight fit) and place it between 2 trees (another tight fit). Here's the link to that one (Will It Fit). You want to grab some popcorn and a cold beverage! ua-cam.com/video/KhW06ZlA5Ms/v-deo.html
I'm not convinced a gravel pad for sheds is the way to go...unless you live in the desert. Over time the gravel rock will clog with sand/dirt, and the wood frame will rot, as the water can no longer drain properly. With piers, your yard can literally flood and the shed is still fine.
The reason to use gravel is that piers are considered a foundation, which means it's no longer portable. You can also spec out the floor area of the shed to be made of 50 year PT so it wont rot within your lifetime. We had a couple built this way and the extra charge for PT was like $300. BTW, an old trick to skirting the zoning rule on piers is to do a dry stack of solid concrete block down below the frost line. With the flat block you always have the option to re-level the shed with shims in a few years if things settle. I've used a floor jack with blocks of wood to spread the load for lifting a corner. Just scratch out some gravel to make room for the jack.
Is "50 year PT" MCA treated wood, or some other process? I can't speak for sheds, but I have had MCA treated fence posts rot out in under 10 years. I live on the Emerald Coast, and our swampland soil is damp almost year round, as is a lot of the deep south.
PT is pressure treated and we got the floor plywood in PT as well. Remember, this is slightly different than posts that go into the ground because they are above ground and don't stay wet.
thechosendude..... Agree with you fully....100%. Pressure treated lumber is good....but it is not the end all of end alls'. If it stay in ground contact where the soil rarely dries out, it will last maybe 5-6 years. It must be elevated and out of moisture contact from time to time so it can dry.
That is a nice size storage building and I wish that the one I purchased was that large since I am now running out of room. The buildings are nice to have to place items in which is taking up room in your house, or which is outside in the elements.
His job looked better then mine. I was a one-man operation that built them in customers back yards. It was all just pieces of wood in the back of my van. Many people would say "Where is the crew" when I showed up and I would tell them "You're looking at the crew". Hauling all the lumber from my truck to the build site way back in people's yard was a back breaking task in and of itself.
We just got a 12X16 shed. That Mule was awesome. Our driveway is slopped and it had no trouble getting the shed up and into the back yard. The delivery men were able to maneuver around and under all obstacles like trees and the phone line.
I have a 10x20 lofted shed like that coming this week and a 12x12 tea house for the backyard. .Ill be glad when it they get here so we can get the privacy fence finished as privacy fence on 2 2/3 sides going up today as we have to finish the fence after buildings get in backyard
So you are 'One of those?' Looking for something, ANYTHING, to criticize. Sad Richard Next time see if you can 'just move on a NOT SAY ANYTHING'. At least the guy had the machine to help. I went on a shed delivery with my boss and we only used PVC pipe to roll the shed on like a conveyor belt.
I drew out and built a 12 x 20 garage from scratch. It only cost 3000.00 with the concrete slab, doors and windows.

I've been to the county fair one time, to bingo twice, and even went to a square dance, but I've never seen anything like this. Really cool. Thanks
Thanks for the share this would make a good off grid cabin
Yes, I agree!
This is a nice video u filmed here, thanks for sharing.
Ingenuous!
The Egyptians would've loved this :)
Yes, I bet they would!
When the shed is removed it's disingenuous.
Actually, you're wrong. Genius.
George Miller Like what?
George Miller You're an idiot... lol
Cool shed! I need one about that size!
That was very cool to watch! Thanks for posting
Glad you enjoyed! Have a great weekend!
When they put the OVERSIZED LOAD sign on they put two holes in the shed.
Not really
It's good to have a nice neighbor
Earl Ismyname depends on you're city, state, and/or county
council here no permit for a 20 or 40 foot container, but if you build a movable garden shed above 2100mm then you need a permit, does not make sense to me.
Bigger than my place in CA! Lovely shed. Remarkable delivery man, would make a useful husband.
Yes, government is out of control! This shed is not in city limits and did not require a permit.
Basia Today I'm ouside of city limits as well and I had to get a permit for a portable 12 x 16 shed. (Bullit County Kentucky, USA)
Government is out of control cuz people are out of control.
Government is an extension of us, to keep peace among us.
tisiluca Well said.
OK I want one of the lil shed mover tractors lol..
Start a biz brotha
$19,000 for the smaller one.
The Amish are totally bad ass.
yes they are. . . .but this has Nothing to do with the Amish!!
Interesting to watch. I always wondered how it was done. Thanks for recording it.
Thank you for watching & commenting, I appreciate it!
I like the shed,, I mean "storage house" 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂
I had 2 8x8 Amish built barns delivered to a duplex that is a rental July 2019. Same equipment. They also removed an old 10x12. From arrival to departure... 61 minutes. I was blown away 😊
That's quality right there!.................. Good focus/ good concentration.....................😏😎👍👌
+Jerrythe coo I agree, this was a professional job for sure!
Impressive.
Terrific what can be done with the right tools.
Absolutely, the right tools and professional operator! Have a good evening!
Omg, this shed looks like a small house! Congrats :)
Eugene Shevchenko Yes, it's really nice! This is first time I saw one being delivered, unloaded and transported to the back yard. Pretty cool process!
Eugene Vlogs small house lol lol
What BEAUTIFUL homes and properties !
I wish this service was available in the UK!
Thanks for checking out this video! Pretty amazing what one man can do!
Thank you so much.
Just scratch out some gravel to make room for the jack.
its treated. my similar shed has blocks under it though to keep it off ground
That's the size I need.
That used to take a few men and a crane 2 days to do that!!!!!! That's brilliant!!!!!
I’ll have to do a video on removing palm frowns and coconuts
I didn't know the Amish got that far down south...We have tons in this area...Good hard working people...Throw backs to old America.
The Amish obviously don't set it up, if they did they would use actual mules for added muscle power.
Not always
Wow that was awesome and the shed is fantastic thanks
Amazing stuff.
MR. FIX-ALL INC. was thinking the same.... amazing
first time I've that cool.
@James Graul I got some great shed plans here if you're interested: ShedPlans.xyz
In India it would have been 30 guys and eight bicycles.
Four people would have been sent to hospital.
Would have taken 3 days.
God bless America!
I miss pre coronavirus days where you could actually see people's faces instead of everyone looking like ninjas lol.
@@68Tboy you have no idea how many holes I had to dig my arms are tired, I could use a break.
I had a 16’x30’ Tuff Shed built on site with an 8’ canister door and metal roof, two windows. It’s pretty cool
I love how she says ..."This is Basia" like everyone knows who she is...lol....
Just because YOU don't know her doesn't mean others don't.
Oh wow, that certainly was a manual process!
Ah, that explains the marks at the top of my new shed.
We just got a 12X16 shed. That Mule was awesome. Our driveway is slopped and it had no trouble getting the shed up and into the back yard. The delivery men were able to maneuver around and under all obstacles like trees and the phone line.
it’s called a shed
I have a 10x20 lofted shed like that coming this week and a 12x12 tea house for the backyard. .Ill be glad when it they get here so we can get the privacy fence finished as privacy fence on 2 2/3 sides going up today as we have to finish the fence after buildings get in backyard
Two of the most complete opposite accents.
Ha ha, yes, 2 very different accents!
so nice to see the ground prepped with a rtock base before just slapping it down on the grass. great video, loved seeing the machines in work.
Would definitely have had it blocked up off the ground instead of just on some crusher run.
Crushed stone is far more stable, does not allow for so much settling, better drainage and its not as welcoming for the neighborhood skunks.
A really neat method! Thank you for posting.
Glad you enjoyed! Here's a link to my other shed video using a different method: ua-cam.com/video/KhW06ZlA5Ms/v-deo.html
He said "It's insulated with insulation", hilarious.
Right!
So you are 'One of those?' Looking for something, ANYTHING, to criticize. Sad Richard Next time see if you can 'just move on a NOT SAY ANYTHING'. Just let it go dude.....You just might FEEL BETTER about being you. @@GiacomoVeteran, there's no need to capitalize "one" in "One of those". Just lending a friendly hand, Sir.
@@christianmccollum1028 Well if the One was the beginning of a sentence then convention indicates it has to be capitalized
Brilliant! amazing what people can come up with when problem solving and saving money.
Yes, I agree!
15 Years from now Storage Sheds will arrive by soundless large drones. It will be like ordering a pizza, and it will arrive in 30 minutes or less.
I think you are right on!
Amazon is doing just that, now !!!
If that happens then they be chinsy flimsy sheds I build sheds and know a good product takes time
and that "drone" will resemble a Sikorsky helicopter.
Very good job, fast and professional.
