I wish GGD would develop a way to find grooves and fills by tempo and feel like Toontrack products do. That's the main difference in efficiency and workflow.
Have to agree here. Plenty of times I'm feeling lazy when I "write" something then end up moving through the ridiculous number of grooves I have to find something close to what's in my head instead of just programming it myself...which I'm trash at...hence the ridiculous number of grooves.
@@thefriedpiper yeah man. Totally understand what you are talking about. And 100% true. That's exactly what I go through. And GGD *has* to be aware of this lacking feature, these guys are super smart and thorough. They go to great lengths to pay attention to details. I just hope it's a matter of time they fix this and make their products easier to use. I would rather stay with GGD and the library I have created than start over with Toontrack products.
I just finished making CC named files for midi for Reaper for the Arhitects kit and Modern Fusion kits after purchasing them, have uploaded them both to the Reaper Stash if anyone needs them
Can I run GGD in Garage Band? My buddy said I had to download Kontakt which he said was a hub to hold GGD since it wasn’t able to run directly through his recording software? I also can only use Garage Band right now, is that possible?
GGD please help me, I never saw a video about how the GGD pitch option works, is it possible to tune this snare up within the plug-in options? Thank you :)
How to make a sound of one stick hitting the other one to make a stick roll kind of things . And is it possible to mix OKW Architects to the drum sound of Architects new album ?
Not sure that first part is possible considering there's no stick hit sample. As for the second part, the drum set used here was the same one that was recorded for their latest album, but was processed to sound more like Holy Hell. Zakk Cervini mixed the latest Architects album and not Nolly, so you'd have to figure out how exactly Zakk does his mixes to get a similar sound (even though this kit is already pre-processed, you can still do some work of your own if you wish to).
3:38 Hell yeah! Anyone know which other kits have Rides with a crash articulation, or is there, without downloading the trial, any way to see what articulation the kits have?
If I am mixing into Only typical Master Buss Settings (Neve+Custom EQ -> SSL Style Bus COMP-> Tape Saturation -> Pro L Limiter) should I turn the master EQ Off?
If you avoid using the master EQ and parallel buttons and disable the reverb, you'll still get a processed sound but it's more malleable and workable to mix it yourself. You might also wanna zero out the master faders for each drum kit piece to make sure your levels are right within your DAW.
For our OKW series we keep the articulations as low as we reasonably can to keep the cost and install size down! You can program a flam very easily by placing two midi notes closely together. You want them to sound far enough apart that it sounds intentional but not too far so that it sounds like two seperate hits!

Life hack: I send the midi out of Toontrack into GGD and match the maps and just write in my Toontrack kit of choice.
So what i need if i purchase this product? Do i need Kontakt Player or something?
@@Jimmy_Z exactly what i do as well. put SD3 on mute and use all benefits of the toontrack editor & groove finder
Just purchased it. Cant wait to try it out
Hope you enjoy it!

May I ask what you mean with CC named files?
Do the One Kit Wonders work with aftertouch for cymbal chokes? Thanks
Joe looking handsome as always!

You do need Kontakt.
Do I have to buy the kontakt 7 player to use your drums in logic pro x or do I just need the free one?

I'm curious to know the same thing, did you ever figure it out?
Please tell me we'll be getting a Dan Searle groove pack!

@@phantomtearsca does this library have ghost notes?
Sounds Great! Is it possible to make the cymbal choke work for edrums? That would make it perfekt. Thank you great work.
I bought on release day , but atill not sure If theres separate left and right kick pedal ?
really hoping to see these kitpieces appear raw in the future

It's great! All libraries. But guys!!! Make a separate HiHat channel in mixer 😥
Yeah! And seperate kicks pedals for double kicks ?
If I am mixing into Only typical Master Buss Settings (Neve+Custom EQ -> SSL Style Bus COMP-> Tape Saturation -> Pro L Limiter) should I turn the master EQ Off?
I meant" Nollys"
why was this an okw and not a full fleged flexible drum library. i think we all would have wanted that.
It has a lot of processing but I assume there’s a preset where there’s very little processing. (Not completely raw but very little processing.)

please do a OKW pop punk!!!!!
This aged well

naissss!!
Bought this. Loaded up. How do I get this into a daw? I as garage band.
Did you ever figure it out? I also use Garageband but cant justify the price if i cant use it
@@Flieguy yes, ended up switching to Logic Pro and never looked back lol!
Too bad that Master and reverb channels doesn't have routing output option...
A querk of Kontakt is that they're routed to Channel 1 by default - So start your drum routing from 2 onwards!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a FLAM articulation for the snare in the next OKW.

@@GetGoodDrums - flams can be done easy enough without having a separate articulation, not rims though. Any chance those were sampled?
Any chance for an unprocessed version of this series?
i need it haha :)

This is not a true walkthrough it is an overview. you don't demonstrate how anything really works
