Rockhoof and a Hardplace reminded me of my stepfather when he was let go after 23 years at his job. His job was eliminated due to automation, he didn't have any skills that mattered today and most companies would not give him a chance. He became excessively depressed because of this. He eventually found new work but it took some time.
I gotta disagree I think Season 8 was fairly strong overall and personally there is only one episode for sure i'd give anything lower than a 3 and that's the Maud couple I loathe characters that act like they know everything and don't joke around just because they are "smart". they are by far the worse character in fiction. but other than the maud couple there really wasn't an episode in S8 that I thought was trash. maybe a few mediocre episodes but nothing really that bad
A voice in my head told me that Voice made a new video. Good thing I listened to it this time. Good job on the video and have to admit that season 8 was a huge gamble for the show. It could've ended the show or continued it. In my opinion It shows that MLP is still capable of producing compelling episodes. The good ones far out weigh the bad ones.
You know what I love about Cozy Glow? She is probably the SMARTEST villain the show has had! She had planned out everything from getting into the school, working her way up the food chain, and gaining knowledge about the elements and artifacts just so she could complete her plan. And not to mention she's the first villain we've had that doesn't have magic. Look back; Nightmare Moon, Discord, Sombra, Tirek, Starlight, Pony of Shadows, they've all had magic. Cozy has to rely on only her wits and she does it beautifully!
I read somewhere that the lesson in matter of principles was suppose to be "sometimes in order to stop a argument/conflict someone has to be the bigger person and step down" instead of continuing that back and forth dynamic
A Matter of Principals made you almost quit the show? Dang, not even Rainbow Falls had that effect, and you really tore that one apart. As flawed as the former is, though, it could've been salvaged if they rewrote the ending. Have Starlight Glimmer concede that she is not quite the headmare Twilight is and that she works better as a guidance counselor. Have her feel sorry that nobody (not even Fluttershy) considered Discord for a job in the school, and that blasting him off the premises was extreme on her part.
I did some research on "Matters of Principal" and...didn't Discord lose the job after the Mane 6 came back? He even threw away his business cards, right? Plus, I figured Starlight Glimmer would be more sympathetic towards a fellow villain who became a friend of the Mane 6.
This video made me laugh so hard! And honestly, season 8 isn't my favorite season, but I do think that The Hearth's Warming Club and What Lies Beneath are my favorite episodes
“Fake it til You Make it” and “The Mean 6” are comedies meant to be entertaining over being meaty. Voice knows what comedy is right. Right?
So an episode almost made you quit the show? You take it a little too serious

ALRIGHT! VOICE IS BACK WITH ANOTHER MLP REVIEW! I miss you Voice!

I knew School Raze was gonna be a 10/10
THANK YOU!!! A matter of principals is by far the worst I’ve seen Discord act!
