A really great video that helped me feel like I had personally tried all of these these mediums. I now know what to expect and understand which is my favorite. I love how Golden always goes the extra mile with testing products side by side then showing final results. Great shrinkage video at 10:56 - helped me better anticipate the changes from wet to dry. Thanks for all your work :D
Yes, GOLDEN Light Molding Paste remains flexible when it is dry, and can be used on stretched canvases and even on thick paper (thin paper can buckle during application). We would not recommend rolling canvases bearing thick applications of this product though, as that might stress the dry film in uneven ways.
Hello AotK, Light Molding Paste [LMP] dries to a sort of spongey consistency, you can sort of dig your fingernail or the tip of a palette knife into it. I'd say it has roughly the same density and consistency as foam insulation board (the blue stuff) maybe a little more dense, but about that soft on the surface.
Thanks for your questions! Acrylics are water resistant, but not waterproof. If you plan on using products where they will be getting constantly wet, we suggest using an exterior grade topcoat. Surfaces like metal, plastic, and glass are non-porous and should be prepared with an appropriate “bonding primer” - metals usually require primers called “DTM” or direct to metal. If you have additional questions, please send a note to our Materials & Applications Team at help@goldenpaints.com. They'd be happy to discuss your unique situation with you.
Yes, that should work for you just fine. All of these gels and pastes are acrylic-based and acrylic loves to stick to acrylic. should have no issues painting on top of any of the products shown in this video (with acrylics at least) Your success may vary with Oils and you should reach out to GOLDEN directly if that's what you're looking to do.

Can the pumice gels be diluted with gamsol to create a wash?
These are acrylic, so you'd dilute with water or a fluid matte medium to do that.
Question please: is it water resistant? and can I use it on metal without glueing?
