Hmmm, 80s cars for 10k. I think this is a good pick. I'd be more inclined to an early 80s Celica if in the Toyota sporty range (the model that came out in '79). I'm not sure if you can get an 81-85 Celica for under 10k but if you can you should. All of those early rear drive ones were great. Even the more upright Corolla before the 86 is a great buy because chassis wise they're identical and there are a load of great Toyota motors to stick in one (they're way cheaper than 86s). What does an 80s Maxima go for?

Fieros were pure junk. A parts bin car from other bad cars; how could it ever have worked? A Toyota product over a GM product is alway the best choice.
