The Beatles of Electronic Music, that simple really. Always 10 steps ahead of the rest. Not only saw these guys in Jacksonville, FL, but got to hang out with them backstage before and after the show. Got multiple photos taken, talked shop (gear, production, etc). Phil took me on their bus, introduced me to all their mates, (one of their mates was this 400 LBS Scottish bloke whom I couldn't understand a single word from but heart of gold). Phil gave me a copy of Middle of Nowhere, you know the ones with the hole punched in them meaning they weren't to be distributed to any store. I actually got to tell Phil what I liked about In Sides VS the new LP. We talked about Ben Watkins from Juno Reactor and Rick Smith from Underworld. Absolutely smashing down-to-earth blokes. Blew away the other 2 groups on the bill (Lo- Fidelity All-stars and Crystal Method).
Had the honour of seeing them once - in Toronto in 199 I think it was, fairly small venue (old theatre) - OMG - what a hypnotic show! Would love to see them here in the UK.

OMG, I've been looking for this video for a few years...I was at this show, and it was FUCKING AWESOME. Perfect tune! 45:00 - the moment, when my mind fell into total trance :D @Future Analogue, thank you so much! Greetings from Poland :)
awww yeah! this got taken down from youtube ages ago, so glad it's back!! scoured the internet looking for a copy to no avail D: shame about the low quality but better than nothing, the camera crew captured this performance with such grace - it's sublime! like being there in person. BIG THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD :D
Incredible stuff. In 2004 as a 14 year old lad I thought I would never get to see my favourite Electronic music act. Saw them 5 times between 2009 - 2012 during their second stint :)
+Jack Wilson I afforded to and was able to see them once in 2009 on the 18th of September at the Manchester academy. Best gig I've ever been to. And my brother isn't even much of an Orbital fan and doesn't really listen to them. His favourite bands are Radiohead an Muse. He has seen them both live and yet even he says the best gig he has even been to was that Orbital one! Fuck they're awesome aren't they? Have you heard any eightfiftyeight yet?
+GjestarOfficial My pleasure mate.........:) This got took down from youtube for some copyright pish a think....but a had awready ripped it...:) so a stuck it back up for all all to see and hear...:)
So pleased to find this, I was told not to get it cos its a bootleg and shit quality but the sound seems ok to me, could be better but definitely acceptable.
my god...the first time a seen them was 1993 at Brixton...Megadod Midi Circus Tour.....unbeleviable...the first time i heard them was on radio 1 sound city 1991 a think...trippin on strawberries..:) now that was AN EXPERIENCE. Since then av seen them more than any other band,,,lost count tbh....Glastonbury of course...tribal gathering 97....about 10 times in the Barrowlands Glasgow...megadog eclipse festi....!!!! the list goes on for a while..lol
yeh, megadog were always a joy. and i was at the tribal gathering where orbital played too, and i think it was in the tent that the ddogs were staging was it not? gorgeous set with that drop dead gorgeous topless model in the bikini bottoms with the big furry russian hat dancing among the croud feeling happy, safe, and secure enough to be like that. the dog stilt walker aliens and robots were incredible that night. i had a few naighty ones during the course of the day, and musta had a ketty one, that had me dissapearing down a hole for a while, and bagan coming to and shining when orbital halyon came on, and though a young punk rock looking cliff richard was dancing around me helping me be "born again" to boogie!
regardless of whether it is exactly your type, I think you won't regret seeing them live. There is a sweet, unmatched vibe in their stuff. But let me know if you do go and what you thought :)
Laylajess I remember being a passenger in a car late at night in 1999 with the chemicals run through my blood and this song was on driving down country lanes... heavenly.
Does anybody know what Sample they use in "Are We Here?" that says "we are your friends"? I've been looking, but all I can find is Justice, which it is not. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Missed meeting orbital in phangan by 1 hour. Got a few really nice tricks up my sleeve if you want to come over and fuck shit up in paradise. Let me know 😎

That was the Opera House in Toronto, Orb & Orbital. Fantastic show.
Watch them in ulster hall belfast!! Ultimately fantastic!!
Their music goes beyond time and space and is truly not of this world which makes it a masterpiece to live forever!
I was at the gig back then and must confess the whole concert took me to another dimension. Great, talented and classy duo. Kudoz to both of them!
