If they weren't so gay about the codex and could go over 1k marines, they would also be the strongest chapter. But since they are gay about the codex, without plot armour they should be into the mid-top tier in their fighting strength, while also extremely hard to eradicate, as their tactics would not allow them to have catastrophic failures while also having a massive genestock to replenish the lost marines. My favorite aspect of space marines that is rarely mentioned is that they are basically immortal. And... it's not a big deal. In any other context this would be a huge thing, but with SM's it's just an aftertought. The process of making them into ultimate warriors works so well they are no longer bound by aging, diseases etc. its almost a side effect. And it doesn't matter, because they live to fight and their lives are brief, but bright. They have an eternity to lose, yet they willingly put it on the line every time.
I really hope that comes out in the action horror area of genres. To be fair, anything could happen with that, and i doubt everyone will be totally happy. The universe and material is that expansive.

Very Cool Video Thought I'd point out, that there was no creation, it's a Video of an Ultramarine having his armour put on. It would have been interesting to see the actual CREATION, as how each Space Marine is created is just as different for each Chapter. None the Less great vid.
Because Games Workshop doesn't want their IP to be damaged by the modern day woke messaging that's thrown into everything these days. The opening segment would start with "In the grim darkness of far future... There are space marines fighting for their right to be homos...."
Can't a couple of Serfs get an Astartes in and out of his armor? Also, pretty sure they can uncouple the helmet anytime they wish. Kind of makes me think they saw Blizzard's StarCraft II promo and wanted to do something similar instead of something lore based.
@Harrison Morgan That's not strictly true. Blizzard developed something Warhammer flavored with the first Warcraft game. They could do this because Games Workshop didn't get their act together for a decent RTS until Dawn of War. Warcraft and Warcraft II made stupid amounts of money. Starcraft was just beating Games Workshop to the punch yet again. And making stupid amounts of money yet again. At least that's how I remember it. There was a lot of lawsuit threatening, I don’t know if there was a settlement or not. Anyways, I am still pretty sure a couple serfs can get an Astartes in and out of his armor in a couple minutes. The ritual is in caring for the armor and bolter, or adhering blessings to it before deployment. Back to vid. Maybe, given the UltraMarine has 100 years of service, he was being elevated to a Sergeant or a Captain. Maybe the Space Smurfs discovered where Gargamel was hiding and declared some holy crusade? Who knows? The vibe feels off a bit off to me, like they weren't sure how to show what it means to be an Adeptus Astartes... and kind of pussed out and reskinned the Finley sequence from Starcraft II... but edgier! Ultramarines are strong, but there are other space marines that are even more giga chad, like the space wolves
@@Voldrim359 Ultramarines are more average -for astartes- since their "power" is logistics and tactics. There is no doubt that a Wolf would absolutely obliterate a Smurft on a 1v1 melee fight (unless it was FOR I AM CAAAATO SICAAARUUS THE GREATEST, MOST BESTEST ORKEST SPACE MARINE EVER), but logistics/tactics is what made them the largest and strongest legion in HH, so strong Horus had no plans into fighting them. 4) Was able to withstand the influence of raw warp energy on TWO occasions with seemingly no negative drawbacks whatsoever.
That last one landed him in the hands of the Inquisition because his own battle brothers thought he MIGHT be a heretic. They let him go, though.

Cool. But cant beat starcraft ii's trailer.

I love how they embraced the cartoonish details of the armor that are probably only that simple because people had to paint them 😂

F#$k yer.
Can't a couple of Serfs get an Astartes in and out of his armor? Also, pretty sure they can uncouple the helmet anytime they wish.
Kind of makes me think they saw Blizzard's StarCraft II promo and wanted to do something similar instead of something lore based.
You do know that starcraft was originally going to be a warhammer game correct?
Who knows? The vibe feels off a bit off to me, like they weren't sure how to show what it means to be an Adeptus Astartes... and kind of pussed out and reskinned the Finley sequence from Starcraft II... but edgier!
Be well and safe.
