Been wanting to do an oil gauge setup for a while now but been too scared to do it incase something goes wrong . After watching your video I think ill finally do it 👌
Great Video! I already have the Wideband / Boost Guage, and I wanted a 2nd one. My friend says do (Oil Pressure) this video makes it Very Straight Forward. Good work.
Thanks for the great video! Can I use the other closed port in the adaptor plate for a second oil temp gauge, along with the oil pressure gauge shown here? Would I need another sensor for the temp gauge? How is the teflon tape/adaptor plate holding up? I really appreciate it!
The shifter was a TCI ratchet shifter, out of production. If you find one expect to pay a fortune for one. The steering wheel is from a 11-14 Mustang, it bolts right up.
So far no leaks from the sandwich plate. Multiple oil changes and inspecting so far I see a tiny bit of oil out of the pressure sensor installed on the plate, but not much.
Hey guys with the oil pressure guage install I was just wondering if the ground wire from the sender/sensor unit can be wired directly to the negative terminal on the battery ? Thankyou 😊
@@JuryRigGarage Thanks for your reply mate 😊 Yeah I was thinking the same thing actually in theory it should work fine, No dramas at all but will go with the manufacturers instructions just to be on the safe side, Love the build videos guys, Keep them coming ! 😊☺️👌👌
I’ve been trolling comments for the last half hour. I had one ready for you until you said Mustang. Good job sir

That's great to hear! Good luck

Thanks for showing the wiring process, I have a air fuel ratio gauge that I'm trying to wire and this really helps, supporting your channel!
We have a wideband o2 install video if you're interested!
@@JuryRigGarage I'll definitely check it out!
Do you need a sandwich adapter for it
Cool man I got prosport oil and water gauge to install this vid helps👍
That's good to hear! They're pretty straight forward to install
pick up a set of race ramps. the are for low profile cars . i use them on my gt 500 and they clear the ground effects easily
What did you do with the factory wire ??
Very nicely done sir. Thank you

What shifter is that? Also is that a 2011-2014 steering wheel?

I’m confused how you wired it in your fuse box
I can’t seem to find this anywhere with the chrome bezel. Do you know the part number by chance?
PSOPLCD-NEW
How do you protect the wire connections on the sensor from water when driving through rain?
The rain water shouldn’t affect the wiring. You can locate the wire higher up if you’d like (I eventually did)
What about your oil temp sensor
Have you had any issue with the sandwich plate leaking?
So far no leaks from the sandwich plate. Multiple oil changes and inspecting so far I see a tiny bit of oil out of the pressure sensor installed on the plate, but not much.
Do you have an aftermarket sway bar? My adapter plate doesn’t fit... it pushes my oil filter too far that it hits the sway bar
Mine is aftermarket, it’s the bigger roush sway bar
Awesome, and with that you were able to fix the stock size oil filter and the pro sport adapter bracket?
@@dylanjentsch7825 Yeah stock oil filter fits for me
Awesome thank you
Did you ever figure out what’s the difference between accessory 12v and just the normal 12v? You wired them together any problems with that so far?
12 volt accessory should power on with the key, regular 12 volt should be hot all the time.
Do u think u can give me a part # for the oil pressure sensor u used and where u picked it up from.

I've always wanted to do this but l was told that going the sandwhich adapter route made the oil pressure numbers not accurate. Is this true or no
In my experience the oil pressure readings are accurate
thx this video is so helpful keep up the great videos.
You're welcome! We also just released a wideband O2 sensor install vid!
Hey guys with the oil pressure guage install I was just wondering if the ground wire from the sender/sensor unit can be wired directly to the negative terminal on the battery ?
Thankyou 😊
I'd recommend finding somewhere on the chassis to ground to but as far as I know the negative terminal should work

So I’m guessing the AC won’t be coming out this vent?
AC still works in the vent. It’s just not directional anymore
I like air vent gauges, they look factory but the thought of loosing an air vent is a downer :(
It still blows air, just can’t direct it
@@JuryRigGarage oh I see, there is a small vent around the gauges correct?
