    GlowShift's Oil Filter Sandwich Adapters make installing your GlowShift Oil Pressure or Oil Temperature sensors extremely easy. Our oil filter adapters mount between your engine block and oil filter, and feature four 1/8 NPT ports and oil filter adapter plates that allow you to install your oil sensors and feed lines without the need to drill into your oil pan or remove your stock sensors. There are also multiple sensor openings on each oil filter sandwich plate allowing for a variety of mounting options.

    You need to be a little more careful installing teflon tape to the threads of the fittings and plugs. Don't put teflon tape past the lower portion of the threads on the adapters and plugs. You don't want pieces of the tape breaking off into the system.

      I thought about this and examined the plate and I don't believe it could be an issue because the direction of oil flow from the sandwich plate where the sensor and plugs are flow from there into the oil filter where any pieces of tape would just get trapped in the filter then removed in the next oil change.

    Nice.
    Planning on installing a kit like this with the next oil shift on my subaru.
    Could be useful as I heard that Subaru oil pressure indicator in the dash cluster doesnt go off until the pressure is stupid low. better safe than sorry right?
    Could this also be useful for seeing when to refill oil? will the normal operating pressure at idle while at operating temp go down as oil is slowly depleting/being burnt off so one can roughly estimate when the oil is halfway down on the dipstick or something without pulling the dipstick? Some modern cars will tell the driver when to refill oil before its down all the way on the dipstick, I assume it operates based on pressure?
    Would be nice if that is the case too. :)

    • @GlowShift
      @GlowShift  6 років тому
