New Noir was playing cat and mouse with Butcher, while Deep and Annie were tearing shit up.
It’s hilarious that they only got intimidated when he showed up, because Noir fumbled the bag in this scene. The moment he touched Butcher, he could have torn his head off but just decided to send him flying.

I love half the time Deep can seam actually dangerous, while the other half he talks in the cadence of a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Starlight was clearly waiting for this moment with Deep. A train stopped making the train noises whenever he runs. Why?

It's almost like A-Train is finally trying to be a real hero
And this is why most writers can’t do anything with Speedsters. Super Speed is so powerful that you have to weaken it or else no one will believe that the Speedster couldn’t save the day. That’s why they keep killing them off or ignoring their existence since they will literally A-Train any situation and eventually fans will ask, “why didn’t X just do Y”. If the answer isn’t satisfying enough, the fanbase gets thrown out of the immersion immediately.
@@DemonVerminI think the boys handle this pretty well. The first season he pretty much didn’t have any flaws till the heart attack. S2-3 he has heart problems so no full on speed for him. Now s4 he’s pretty much doing what he can. And since homelander a dumbass who doesn’t actually know how crazy speed is he’s not gonna use a-train 24/7
I was legit surprised to see how strong Deep was. He would have killed Starlight if A-train hadn't showed up. And flying or not, the OG Noir would have fucked up everyone in that room 2 times over. I also gasped when Starlight dropped that plate on deeps head. Thought for sure that was the death of him.

You gotta remember we’re not dealing with og noir but just actor who’s playing a role. Even if he learned how to fight for the role, he’s probably never actually fought anyone

Also, we know Godolkin University offers two main tracks, Crime Fighting and Performing Arts, and we know which one this Noir attended. Like, not all supes are inept at this kind of thing. Maeve, another God U student, was notably better.
And we see that a lot of the fights they've been in were staged, so many don't have any combat experience. Just choreography

I don't like what the writers did with Starlight. Yes, she is still in shock because her secret was revealed and how she messed things up with Huey, and also because Firecracker wants to take revenge on her, but this is the Deep, it's a perfect opportunity to develop Starlight and satisfy the audience by killing him. Because as we know, The Deep is the reason for everything that happened to Starlight, and with her revenge, she will be able to confront Firecracker and mend her relationship with Huey.
