I was about to comment the same, maybe the reason is that the gun the robber had wasn’t loaded (maybe not fully) so the gunpowder didn’t explode, or like the reply above said, he could control the power output of his heat vision, while in Diabolical he went full force on the magazine

No, he wasn't. Superman did a lot of crazy and disturbing things in the comics. Some of the things are more disturbing than what Homelander has ever done in the show.
They are extremely different. INJ superman still wants to protect people, his methods are just extremely hardline, he doesn’t care about his image, just getting results, what truly drives him crazy is his inability to stop all conflicts entirely. They’re polar opposites, so I don’t think you can say either is better written given they both at their core represent 2 very different mentalities, personal preference is one thing but they’re both cool concepts.
I really hope that 5th season will be filled with good CGI and action. Whole 4th one felt like a big cliffhanger with a few short scenes with a promise for more.
At 1:10 you can see that Homelander travels at a speed of 1852.297 KPH. That's equivalent to Mach 1.5 which is the speed of sound. Keep in mind that he was ONLY searching for someone.
2:10 I love that everything could’ve been fine if Homelander lasered the guy through the face, but he wanted to cut him in half instead which then caused the controls to fry.
No he wanted the controls to be fried so the plane would go down so he could then say to the public that this could have been averted if Supes were allowed in the military
@@irohmoua5820 We’ve seen he can clearly control his lasers, he melts guns and skulls or he just zaps right through people, he chose to use the power knowing it would go through the person and destroy the equipment, forcing the plane down which gives him the opportunity to play the “I could have saved them” card
After Season 4, it is interesting to note that those robbers were actors by Vought and Homelander was probably supposed to just arrest them, that's why they are so confused and terrified when he goes for the kill.
After watching the last season when they were rehearsing Ryan's first "save" and when we are told that most "saves" are fake, if you rewatch certain scenes like the first one you realize the faces of the actors before Homelands kills them.
