Why is there water in the part where I’m suppose to put softener?

Unfortunately it this is a common issue with washing machines today. Pull out your drawer and look inside the space. Sure it’s has mold. This area needs cleaning and once clean you will notice some spray holes they are blocked. Using a dental brush for your gums use these to go into the spray holes. And you will be surprised at the mess that comes off. Try using white vinegar instead of fabric conditioner to avoid repeated issues and regular cleaning of the detergent drawer.
