Hello again everyone! There's been a major update to the world settings when you generate a new DST world. It's added a bunch of new things that you can control but this video still covers the majority of important things that you'd need to set up a "perfect world". Plus is mostly for newer players I feel. The sad part is most newer players will never know that setting is there unless someone else points it out for them.
@@Griver84 yeah your right but wildfires should still probably be on as Annoying as they are because of Experience and the new players won’t probably make it to summer anyway
Yeah, if anything, the no wildfire setting is more a personal preference for myself. But it's one of those things that depending on if enabled or not can completely change your playstyle and what you need to do in relation to the summer season. So if nothing else, if new players actually make it to summer, it's one less thing they have to stress about. Then once they are comfy enough it can be re-enabled in a new world if they desire.
I DIDN'T!! Thank you. I can't get past day 30 DEERCLOPS and I just wanna explore the game a bit. Get used to what things make what foods and prepare for the actual game. Thanks again. Can't wait to jump back into it again. 😊💙✌

Na I think beginners should not turn on the plus setting it makes the game way to EZ they need to adventure in the game a bit i would think pros would use that setting since they know how to get everything and to make it less time consuming
Some of the world settings were changed or removed with the Reap What you Sow update. Specifically Disease was removed from the game completely. So you don't have to worry about that anymore.
Turn everything off to make a nothing world (webber has spider eggs for food and dragon flies lava spawns so you can survive winter. to survive summer just go to the caves. TO get light you can leave the game and rejoin the instaint night starts to get light. (In DST not DS.))
I mean thanks for the challenge idea. But not really what this video is about. Not to mention I've got about 5k hours between DS/DST. So I've done most of whats out there. But I love the game so much I just keep playing. :)
Sadly I'm not familiar with Pocket Edition. Are you saying the action of "world hopping" or traveling to a new world kills you? or you're just dying in the second world and having to restart fresh from day 1 in a new one?
Im sorry I guess I'm not understanding here. If you're looking for basic survival tips to survive to the second world i should have some other videos that would help. I'd also suggest my good friend Glermz as he has some good survival videos for lasting a large number of days so you can world hop.
playing on anything but default just makes any challenge feel subjective and meaningless to me. If you're not playing default, any limit to how easy the game can get becomes customizable, which is totally fine if you like sandbox games, but I prefer survival, and surviving in a world built by you to nurture your survival, well it doesn't feel like survival to me.
Sandbox basically refers to a style of game that allows you to do what you want. There's no set rules other than what the game mechanics allow. You can build a huge base, you can race to beat the bosses, you can explore every inch of the world. All and more are options to do in the game.
Because Don't Starve Together has a much larger player base, especially on Twitch (which is where I create most of my regular content). That said, I'm not against making content for regular Don't Starve. I just need to free up some time to do so.
For me - playing on hardcore mod is useless :D like those challanges - games are for fun not for butthurt :D - so i always change worls setting to candy like for me )) just relax and dont be silly )) (problem of game become not interesting - is in the empty world itself (poor nature content and etc) and not in the absence of a high complexity of the game))
What isn't the same game? If you're referring to the QOL update this video still applies. You just have MORE control with your options. But the same base premise from this video is valid.
@@Griver84 i reffer that isnt the same game if you activate a lot of options, the disease for me isnt a great change, is a boring mechanic but the one of "burning things in summer" is a fundamental part in the game that force players to be best and i dont think it should be desactivated in a normal match
But see that's the thing, this is a sandbox game at it's heart. Which mean's everyone's experience is different and there's no wrong way to play. Constricting yourself to rules like that just means you're missing out on some of the fun. So yes, it is still the same game, even if you disable wildfires, turn down hounds, turn up beehives, etc...
@@joaventuras Wildfires are not hard to deal with, theyre just super tedious to deal with, since you cant stay near your base in summer, and just have to live in the cave or something else.
Explain how changing the settings in any game (not just DST) is cheating? I'm being genuine here. Because if it truly was cheating why would a developer give you (the player) to change those options to begin with?
@@Griver84 Changing the WORLD settings, not talking about normal settings. If I find the Hounds hard, I could just disable them, that's game changing therefore cheating.
But its still a setting that the developers allow you as the player to change. Now if you were using the console command to disable hound waves your point might have merit. But this is a sandbox game. Everyones mileage may vary. But its certainly not fair to tell someone they're cheating because they like the world set up a little differently.
You most certainly can become a better player this way. Especially for those reading this and are having a hard time grasping the basic mechanics. Don't be afraid to disable a few settings to get the hang of things or to play your own way. :)

I think putting plus on kinda Destroys the start of the game and Wildfires are good to have on for Experience but I do I agree that diseases suck

I prefer to hard survive, without special world settings :/
I think this setting is good for beginners. Once you get better, of course challenges would make the game more interesting to play 😁

I have not done a video on how each setting effects the world generation. But that's something I can look into for a set of future videos.

I noticed that on Playstation like a year ago (so might be outdated) that you can't turn up almost any of the world settings

also there is a tom of things you can do like getting stone fruits from lunar islands and gold from pk and lots of other things

hi. I have a problem when I want to travel to second word im die and game start from first. what should I do ?!! im using pocket edition.

world size, land branch and land loops are always fine to change though

Changing world settings is cheating, not OP.
