Hey rick I wanted to ask what are more ways to lower lag my laptop is a piece of crap and won't allow me to add caves so no bunnymen, toadstools,or half of the rest to game :< anybtips
I think a great method for dealing with the Deerlcops fight (hounds as well) is to specifically take him to the swamp. Get the tentacles and other monsters to aggro him and profit
@@ivetterentas3025 Merms wont eat the eye or the meat it drops, I don't think they eat anything actually unlike pigs. Man I miss being a new player this game got so boring for me lol, Good luck noob!
If you want to light up your base, you can use end tables with lightbulbs. Idk exactly how long do they shine but I'm sure that it is longer than 95% of light sources in the game. You get the recioe by hitting the tables that follow you with a hammer and a half, the downside is that you need beefalo and marble. Also distribute secondary light sources to light up more area, such as lighning rods, etc. Also if you catch fireflies and drop them they will shine in night forever (?), I have read that this can make crops to grow sighty faster. Also frogs can be catched like rabbits, though they will not live. You can give almost spoiled vegetables and flowers to pigs to give you tons of poop, making it more effective to keep the fire running.
I prefer honey ham as main hunger filler once I have a bee box zone set up, because it spoils in 15 days, which means you can carry 7 in your inventory and with a default hunger drain (75/day) you can last at least 7 days before gathering food again. For health I do use pierogi, and for sanity I use jelly salad, 2 leafy meat 2 honey gives 50 sanity (No I don't like being insane since nightmare creatures are annoying when you are trying to do tasks). I keep a bundle on me with 40+ pierogi and 40+ jelly salad, the ideal would be 40 pierogi 40 jelly salad and 40 honey ham.
about that last tip: the raincoat has enough wetness resistance to keep you dry while only taking up one slot, so its a good alternative if deerclops didn't want to spawn
@David Mannerheim Yup, that sounds like me. Just salty, not bring sarcastic. I really don't care if you use farms, especially after the rework. It's just that farms sent nearly as good as crock pot dishes in meatballs and perogies. But I mean hey, if you want to use dragonfruit go for it. I reaaaaaaally don't care what someone who does an unfunny, overused comment on a 5 month year old comment because they didn't get the joke does in a video game. So if you want to make dragon pies, feel free
you actually gave me the advice of turning lag compensation off before but all it did was make me go from screaming at 900 decibels when I get hit to understanding why im getting hit but still getting hit because the game feels horrible to play
The lag compensation thing is nice, however because I usually play on low lag servers anyway turning off lag compensation usually causes more annoyance than keeping it on for me. this is because I hate my inputs registering late more than I hate bs hitboxes and hitreg (altho I DO hate both) also the screenshake option should be a slider to determine how intense the shaking is, change my mind
As someone who’s like… third-ish game was set in the spring and spent a basically the remainder of that playthrough trying desperately to keep dry until an untimely death… rain is the worst.
Idk if i'm missing something here, but i think there's a really underrated food that no one is talking about: Beefy Greens. It heals 40 health like pierogi, and gives more hunger then meatballs. It also give 5 sanity, and all you need for it is one leafy meat, and three vegetable fillers (with a value of 1.0). Before getting pierogi you have to craft a bird cage and capture a bird, which might be a bit hard for newer players, but with the Beefy Greens, you can get lucky enough to find a herd of grass geckos, then in the later days, Lure Plants will start spawning, which you can replant for a steady source of leafy meat once you have enough, and you can mass produce them with Wickerbottom. You might wanna make meatballs first, but if you have enough Lure Plants, you can make a lot of this. Also, if you need sanity, you can make Jelly Salad with 2 leafy meat and 2 honey, which gives 50 sanity, among the best sanity foods in the game.
@@mr_sugarcube you no longer need farms. There's a cheapish machine which turns 4 tiles into farmland and you can fit 9 crops in easily. Some crops grow in winter You can grow giant crops which are a lot of food
Probably the best beginner guide I've seen.
