@@LosProduction2006 2007 it’s the base model and it was a double din but i’ve been seeing a whole bunch of stuff about like an ignition wire and idk what it means but i literally can’t get any power to it no matter how i’ve wired it and the factory one works so i’m not sure what i’m doing wrong
@user-rt1rs8ps1w So did u buy the wire harness to from factory to aftermarket radio also if u look at the 8min mark of my video I bought the radio dash kit that comes with all wires and its easy plug and play but the dash kit runs 150... but there is one other way u can hook it up is by running a lead wire from the fuse box ignition fuse.

Yo I have a Pontiac 06 g6 and I tried to install different radio but when I hook up the new radio it powers on but no sound. But when I hook the radio up to another speaker it works. Then when I hooked back up the old radio there’s sound coming from car speakers. Is it bc I have the wrong wire harness? Harness was Metra 70-2103 radio harness for G6 04-up

OK so here is 2 ways to test the left an right side of the stereo or factory speakers ....1. if you got your stereo out the dash take an plug your right side front an rear from the radio wires an plug them into the left front an rear speakers if it gets louder then your stereo Left channels are bad if it is the same volume ( low ) then its your factory speakers .....2.if you don't want to take out the stereo from the dash again all you have to do is go to the trunk were the speakers are and unplug them both.. take a long speaker wire go from the right side which is the louder side an go to the left one with that wire plug the left speaker an see if the volume gets louder on that speaker... if it does then you know its the stereos left channel... if it stays low even plugged in from the right side then its your speakers are bad... hope that helps.

But my main goal is speakers front and back lower .. what would I need to buy. I keep watching videos to see if there was any certain wiring kits or anything .
@@niyadawnwd so ur lower fronts are 6¹/⁴ and the lower back speakers are 6x9 ... for the stereo if u don't have it already u will need a metro radio kit ...if u like I can send u a link to the metro kit for stero and some the speaker I have in upper and lower

when you hooked up the radio did you get 2 harness pieces in the kit maybe you didn't hook up the speakers .sometimes its that you didn't push the wires all the way in on the back of the radio ..let me know if you fixed it yet
