Where did you get the new air solenoid, thanks for the vid, just what I needed for my Chicago electric plasma cutter, which has the same symptom, God bless
I'm so happy this video helped. I'm sorry took me so long to get back to you I'm sure you figured it out by now but just in case for you or other people. I got the air valve on Amazon. please see the link www.amazon.com/dp/B07QRTF9ZQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_0MADS51GRMWRPBDH3S9G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Similar problem when the air continuously blows out when you release the trigger, it should blow for a short while to cool the tip , but I think mine must stick open and allow an unnecessary release of air, I can make it stop by squeezing the ail line to stop the flow, this seems to reset that air control solenoid. It probably just needs a clean ( no oil) Hope this may help anyone with a similar situation.
Thank you for leaving your comment but I would like to add to what you said. When the magnet inside the solenoid starts getting week it doesn't have enough pressure to blow past the air in the junk that may have become collected in the solenoid. You can try cleaning it but more than likely you'll have to replace it.
I'm having this issue. First cut is fine but then it doesn't stop blowing. The cut light on the unit lights up, but no arc. I'll try it and report back if it cures my issue.
Check your connections at the tip. If they're dirty bent or loose it can cause that problem. There's also a bunch of stuff electronically that can cause those problems.
On the side of my solenoid say it's AC, not DC which has been my problem finding a solenoid for my harbor freight, Chicago electric plazma cutter, you have any suggestions for the AC part and where to look, thanks for your time and the vid, very helpful
This one has an option for 110 volt AC. But that's all I know based on your specifications. I hope this one works for you www.amazon.com/dp/B07QRTF9ZQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_0MADS51GRMWRPBDH3S9G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
LOL. I'm glad you like the idea. To answer your question they are not glued. I ran two screws through them with washers so they didn't break out. If you only use one screw then it'll spin when you try to undo it.
Hie, great video, I have a problem with mine, it's hi cut80 Chinese make, I use it on cnc table, now the problem is when I press start to cut a piece, the air is released and shows an error warning light, without any spark, the warning doesn't go off until I restart the plasma cutter. Can it be the same problem?
I'm not that familiar with that unit. I don't know if I can help you. But if it won't work it's usually either a bad ground or the tip is burnt out or loose. If it's not something simple like that it might be time for a new unit unless you know where to get the electronic service.
I have a cut 50 and have no air or fire and the digital readout flashes 000 did yours do that? I have only used this thing 2 times but the warranty is up on it.
Actually I don't remember if I had any error codes. But it's very important to put dry air through your plasma torch. The number one thing to take out plasma torches is wet air. It's only a couple bucks to replace and give it a shot and see if it fixes it. Wouldn't that be nice
Jeff I have a 110v drag-on thermal dynamics built in air . The switch is good the fan comes on. I tested the little 12v compressor it works when I bypass the machine on a 12 v battery charger . When I hook the wires back to machine the air will not activate. Computer board looks fine no blown solenoids .could you tell me why the fan comes on but the air compressor inside will not turn on?
That's a great question brother. It's really hard for me to help you brainstorm on this idea because I don't really have enough information. I'm not too sure what unit you have. And I'm not too sure what you're talking about when you say it has an on-board compressor. Mine uses a general shock compressor like most plasma torches. It sounds like you have a very unique piece of equipment that I'm not familiar with. However if you give me the model number or a link to what kind of unit is I'll do a little homework for you.
Thank you for video 😮😮😮😮😮
Thank you for video. Helpfull
Thanks Jeff!
Thank you we just order ours.
same issue with my Jegs 40 plasma cutter. thanks
thanks for this explaining dear i want to ask you about the transformer used in this plasma cutter
If I knew more about it I would make you a video. I'm sorry I don't think I can help you much.

What happens if the air is responsive to the switch and coming out full force to regulator setting but no high frequency arc?

are those jars lids glued to the botton of the shelf/cabinet? Great idea!
