Thank you for supporting the channel and congrats on your M2. It’s great when your wife knows how to enjoy the car too. I guess happy wife, happy life 😂😃🙌
Love your channels' content and agree with everything you’ve just said, especially the comments about the seats. My dealer said 95% of buyers don’t go for the seat option. Most likely cause the option is $15K here in Sydney AU… but they are worth every cent. My M2 is off to get a HAS setup, and spacers installed in 2 weeks… so excited and can’t wait.
That’s amazing, thank you for watching the video. 95% is a high number. I didn’t expect such low adoption for the bucket seats 🧐😅 Congrats on your M2 and your decision to drop it on HAS, it will transform the car IMO.
I'm not a g87 owner but really appreciate them and love the mods on yours. My LT3s just came in for my X4MC and they look killer like on yours. Erik P. hooked me up ;-)
I agree with your points. I picked up my M2 G87 in April this year and it's been phenomenal. One advantage of living in Sweden is the border to Germany is just a few hours and I drove the car from Sweden to Munich and then back via Nürburgring for some laps. Awesome car on the highway with all in comfort if you want to relax a little bit and some fuel stops had to be made, but I thought it would be even more so the drivetrain is quite efficient too. But with all in Sport Plus and full race mode, then it will drink a lot, but not too surprising because of the small fuel tank as well. I bought the same front lip as you from AutoID, this is how the car should have looked from factory. - The point about technology I agree and just want to add a positive for the graphics and design of the UI on the screen, really well thought out and fun to look at something different with the design. - To bind the screen choice of Sport, Race, Track to the M-buttons would be gold. Let's hope Munich get this information :) - Agree on the brake dust topic as well, oh my lord the original pads dust so much it's ridiculous, but it will be interesting to see how this will be from now, because in EU there is a Brake Emission law coming in 2025 which will make the brake parts dust less. - Interior quality I'm fine at the moment with it. It is a 3/4-series car so the quality of material is already great and I haven't noticed anything bad with the build quality yet after currently 5900km. Just a safety tip, do not flip the seatbelt even if the rattle noise disappear in the moment. If you have a crash the seatbelt might get ripped off and you will not stay in the seat so to say :) Great video as always and it's really fun to hear your opinions and watch what you are up to with the M2!
Thank you so much. I appreciate you watching the video. I agree with your input. I am happy to hear regulations for brake emissions will reduce dust. I didn’t realize this was a thing. I am ok with regulations when it’s makes car ownership better 😃
An interesting summary from an owner’s perspective. The stance and wheels on yours are perfect! I bought one of the first F87s and was planning to replace it with a new G87. This past weekend, I got to drive a friend’s G87 6MT on some favorite mountain roads, and it was as impressive as the reviews led me to expect. While everyone has their own taste, I hesitated because I did NOT like the look of the square bumper sections at first, and sadly, it has still not grown on me. I also had the opposite reaction to two other likes: the paint color (M cars should be bold, and Zandvoort and Yas Marina baby blues just look weak to me) and the carbon buckets (for a daily driver, access and bolster wear are a non-starter). I really *wanted* to love the G87. But after owning 6 M cars and 15 other BMWs, I ordered my first Porsche. A rare allocation for a Cayman GTS 4.0 6MT came up, and I got one before they go out of production. I still respect the G87, especially after that intense driving experience, but I have no regrets about going to the other side. Now I’m a “BMW guy” who happens to own a Porsche (and still one BMW).
That’s awesome, thank you for watching the video. A move to a Porsche seems like a natural progression 😃 congrats on your purchase. The Porsche addiction is real. Pretty soon you will be in a 911 and then your perspective will change once more. I am just glad we have these options today. As you say, there may be a day where we won’t have these options. Porsche and BMW are the only premium sports car brands who offer a 6MT. About the M2 color, I agree with you. At the time of ordering mine, it didn’t have all the deep metallic colors they offer today. Still, I have a spot for flat colors as you can tell from what’s in the garage 😂😃
@PrabhulDev I've Been following your build, and want to congratulate you on your M2, it looks beautiful! I just picked up my '23 in Toronto Red and I am looking to lower it, as the OEM ride height is just hideous! What suspension setup are you running? Would you recommend it for street driving, not so much track days. It's my weekend car...thanks
Thank you, I appreciate you watching and supporting the channel. Congrats on your g87. I got the cobra HAS kit and it’s been great. You can track on it, but not with the wheel and brake setup I have. Likely want 20/20 wheels for track use. I chose the styling and street use more than track use.
I have one on order. I really love the looks, I think it has a lot more presence than the previous gen (which I also love the look of - that’s not a contradiction).
Just placed an order for a 2025 M2 in skyscraper grey. I initially wanted the M240i since I wasn’t sure if I wanted a full blown M car, but after driving the M2 I immediately changed my mind. How long did it take you to get your car after going into production? BMW told me 4-6 months.
Congrats on your M2 order. Love the color choice. I ordered mine when there were parts shortage and production delays. I believe it was 7months for mine. But it was cool to track the build progress with the VIN 😃
Do you drive the car in the winter/snowy conditions? how does it ride? does it fishtale? i've been thinking of upgrading my m240x g42, but concerned with winter aspect. Nice car/spec. its like oem plus, just right, and not over the top.
I drove it one season in the winter and it was great. With winter tires, there wasn’t any unexpected fish tailing other than the ones I induce 😂😂 It was a good winter car, I just avoided heavy snow situations and it was good. I will be parking it this winter as I got an SQ5 for a good deal and that will be the winter daily. 😃🙌
I've had mine for almost a year now. Toronto Red with m performance has kit , spacers and some carbon parts from CT CARBON. Coming from F87 u can tell straight away that it's a little bit less engaging car but on the other side it's much faster with a much better grip on both axels. Suspension also is so much more sophisticated than in precievios gen. I also experience the same minor rattles from B pilar area on driver's side, it's more like gasket crackle on a bumps. everytime I lower a window just a bit that crackle sound stops. Bmw couldnt replicate the issue but replaced the gasket on a warranty anyway, unfortunately the problem is still there. Otherwise it's a great car and I enjoy it a lot. I get a lot of positive feedback from random ppl everywhere, much more then with f87 tbh.
thanks for sharing your experience. Its good to know that I am not the only one experiencing the rattle. If its not the gasket, I wonder what else it could be. I have not spent a lot of time looking into it. Let me know if you ever get to the root case. 😃

Thank you for watching. There are 2 ways to go about it i guess. 1. Prioritize looks and style 20"/21" 2. Prioritize performance drive. 20" I went with #1, #2 is a good balance of looks and performance driving (track ready). Can't go wrong with either configuration.
@@thedevthing I love the look of the 991 GT3 Cup cars on 18" wheels, wanted to get 19" for my 991 GT3 but Carbon brakes and 19" is very tight and they are expensive ! I think small diameter rims and wide tyres look cool (Probably s I'm old and used to 15" and 16" wheels on older Porsches !)
Anybody complaining about the throttle response on a M2 needs to go and drive a non-sport based Audi for a day, something like a Q5 or a Q7, and then see how you feel about throttle response after that. I just finally got rid of my Q7 after 2 miserable years and that thing is borderline deadly, hit the accelerator and you're waiting at least 2 seconds before the car begins to start moving forwards. It's criminal those things were allowed to go into production like that.
😂 the SQ5 and SQ7 is not bad. But I agree with you the base Q5 with the 2.0L and the Q7 just feels gutless. I guess that’s ok for the common folks who do not care about throttle response. I daily drive the SQ5 now and it’s not bad, even then I have to place it in sport mode all the time to feel as direct as I like it from a throttle response perspective. What did you replace the Q7 with?
I love G87. My only reservation is getting in and out of the rear seats, because If I buy this car it will be my daily. I need to take my daughter to dealership and see how easy it is to get in for her. 🙂

Thank you for watching. Lowering is not for everyone. The HAS kit I got goes much lower than the M-Performance HAS kit. I think the M-performance would still be ok on bumpy roads I think. 😃
