my man Misha was in the zone such great driving... also im very impressed with the corner speeds of the new m2 considering it weighs quite a lot. those csl upgrades work like a charm. such a great build by Imran and evolve. amazing power with great reliability just look at the temp gauges the car doesn't even break a sweat. this car truly is the m2 csl. just wow...
It is more the temperature of the rims heated from the brake discs. The aluminum rim is an excellent radiator receiving temperature from the braking system.

I won't say the Porsche made no mistakes, but coming out of a blind turn (Porsche sees him only for a short time in the mirrors), then dive bombing into a corner like that while being uncertain that he saw you is nowhere near smart decision making on the ring. That was totally unnecessary and down right dangerous by Misha
@@naruto6063 How many times do you see Misha glancing at the mirror before turning a corner, even in a slower car? He sure looks frequently, but certainly not for every corner. The car that's overtaking has a bigger responsibility since they can assess a situation much easier through the windscreen, rather than the front car through the mirrors. I love Misha and have been watching his videos for years, but that lunge into a corner like that is not necessary.

i had to watch both laps at the same time from both m2 and m3 cs touring and they have similar performance the m2 lap was more congested and finished earlier and i give the touring 1 second advantage. what a machine.
Wonderful video seeing eventuri intake makers cars being tracked was something I did not know I needed😅. But I want to also see Misha take the skoda Octavia vrs on track too. As they have a very wide moding community.

Aero parts may keep driver confident in such situations but suspension is matter to make highly considered in next developments between vehicle weight/output/drive train as it's FR . Fair exam for whom may finds difficulties owning such better drivers experience porsche GT's specially made to beat Nurgburgring in everything turn 22:12 . BMW going in it's way but is good to keep it that way, even this M2 behaviour as road/SimiTrack setup need to be handle buy mature driver as FR but not an everyday playful behaviour and weather conditions. Feeling safe most important than maintenance cost. Thanks to all in this test representatives and Misha's followers.

No idea if theres audio enhanced engine noises but I really enjoy how it's sounds muscle like, I was even confused if it was a cross plane v8 or an inline 6 at first 😅 i hope I won't offend any purists 🙇

Eventuri intakes really made big differences for BMWs performing on the track tho, hands up for Imran and Evolve really transforming already good S58 monsters
can you please do a lap in the manual M2? Would love to see how you drive the manual compared to the automatic. I guess many viewer especially in the US would be really interested in the comparison. For me, I go with the manual... but I want to see how the two compare in the green hell!
Ridiculously though! It’s happening across the board to be honest a closed intake set up for vag 2.0 is now around £750/$900 there’s absolutely no need for it to be that expensive. Development is offset by a week of sales and the materials of even the most expensive carbon fibre is only 10-15% of the price. Greed. There’s a reason he’s been able to bring both the new m2 and the m3 touring🙄
One thing I really dislike about BMW’s stock gearbox tuning is that it doesn’t even compare to the DCT they replaced, sounds like a slushbox on downshifts and still isn’t as fast. Would love to see if a tune would get it more in line with a proper sports car transmission
Crazy thing to me is that BMW managed to make an M2 with S58 slower than a Supra on track..... Because it's so heavy. Maybe the M2 would be faster on tracks where acceleration matters more, but the Supra wins on this one, and F87 M2 is probably equally as quick as G87 here...
And its maybe mostly on filters, cat and all the safety systems you dont really need. The fact that they make the engines smaller in cylinders and liters is very shocking how the cars get so heavy with lighter engines.
Isn't the steering more twitchy because of the CSL hubs and steering rack&pinion software? I feel like you could've put the steering into Comfort mode and it would've been much better....

3700-3810lbs is not enough to make a car bad at handling. Some porches weigh this nowadays eg 911 turbo

Tires went to 100°C and I guess it is core temperature. Surface temps must have been way above. Did u check the tire surfaces after the laps?

Somehow the gearbox has the sharpness of a sequential, but it sounds like a soft luxury door close on upshifts.
I feel like the DCT was just a tad sharper than the 'regular' torque converter in the newest M cars. would love to hear Misha's opinion on that.
