Lol I loved your line when you were talking about the 12 year old and you said "Screw off, you haven't even driven a car yet." By the way I've noticed your channel is taking a more serious approach which is pretty interesting
Im 15 rn and I always go to car meets in my dads Mercedes. I enjoy opening my mind to new things and exposing myself to new experiences, my dad is a huge car guy and he's very experienced, one of the most knowledgeable people I know and I enjoy sitting with him and helping him conduct repairs on his cars, more specifically he owns his daily, a Renault laguna, a Mercedes-Benz W114 and a motorcycle, a honda cb1300. As a result of being around them my whole life I've grown to love the car and motorcycle scene, and your videos really help me understand the concepts of being part of the community. Next year I'll be able to get a license for a motorcycle so I'm really excited for it
I kind of became a car guy by force. I live in Oklahoma and needed a car in order to have a job, so some distant family gave me a beater Civic that had been sitting in disrepair for awhile. I hated working on that car at first. The suspension was bad, it always leaked oil, exhaust would pump into the cabin if you turned on the air, and there was a dead squirrel in the filter box. But I fixed it. I learned the repairs by reading and watching things on the internet, bought a wrench and a starter set of sockets, and got to work. Now, seeing my hard work pay off fills me with pride every time I sit in that beater Civic. I also have immense respect for anyone who takes care of their cars as it definitely takes perseverance, and the respect you develop for your car is irreplaceable
I live in in Indiana and it doesnt seem like theres a lot of car guys but if you actually find a meet or something online and go, you’re blown away by the amount of cars. Like yesterday there was a 5 mile long car convoy of hellcat redeyes, slammed pickups from the 70’s, rice bucket civics, vettes, mustangs, etc
I love this youtube channel because you are like the father figure that gives hard realities but you can see the love and consideration of his word that supports you. I am coming back to the car phase and I am loving it even more since I got the experience to working/fixing cars full time as a job and I have that respect of project car builders I did not have before. This vid will allow me to take the extra step to go out to the world and look for meets to hang out with and know the car scene for myself instead of just hearing it. Love the videos man. I love the lessons you teach us.
1985 Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno APEX GT Know the feeling dude, I’m 19 but got too much shit atm to even afford a car, but I’m studying mechanic at uni so I get my car rush XD
Thanks for the confidence you gave me cuz I live in Southeast Asia so I don’t see much tuners cuz it’s darn expensive even to find a Miata, yes a MIATA! Also the time I see a real R34 GTR near the capital is still burnt in my memory. I can still see how many car enthusiasts near me now too. Thanks a lot Bladed!
Great video, it kind of opened my eyes too, even tho I already found my way into the scene, I always had issues to communicate with each other and even tho I like talking with my small group of people I never understood if they actually just don't accept my car choice or if they are just joking... Thankfully this vid helped me understand it 😊 Other then that, a brilliant video, and I agree with all these points. Finding a meet can be hard, but hear me out. Easiest way to find your way to the scene, is go to the big local meet, there will be posters hanging everywhere, and talk to people, don't go in circles and look at cars, actually talk to them. I went to a meet that was basically just few steps away (literally) and it was small, yet still decent size meet, and there was plenty amount of people and different cultures. Tuners, some muscles, euro, retro guys... Find the car u like and talk to the owner. I didn't have a car back then, but I wore my Civic EF T-shirt there and people actually realised it and asked my this car etc .. at one point you gonna speak with someone that has he's own local car group or is related somehow and you may get invited to the meets or joining their car group or something. I actually meet the guy on that meet next to my house, few weeks later I found him on parking next to my job and he invited me to join, and then, well, it just kept going. So it's all about research, if I can't find anything online, go and search in local meets.
Wow, this video is genuinely encouraging. My teen life has consisted of stressing over what I want to be. I’m really only here because the car world was something I haven’t explored yet. Whether I actually want to become a car girl or not, I really enjoy accumulating the knowledge. Having a basic understanding of mechanics could go a long way for me. Y’all’s sense of humor and flavor of entertainment is intriguing and adorkable. Respect to all of you car guys 👍
This might be a dumb point, but if you are a young car enthusiast and you dont have your license yet one thing I would recommend if you have the money is if you play any racing or driving games buy a full wheel and pedal setup if you really want to have more of a feel of actually driving. and there are lots of good games on a wheel
You're right about the whole "There are no car guys in (location)", I thought there was nothing in Raleigh until I saw things like Cars N Coffee at several areas.
My big thing is respect what other people like in terms of cars. I really like newer Japanese cars and I'm not a huge fan of American muscle cars but I still respect the people that love Mustangs, Camaros, and old Pontiacs. Just have respect
I agree with your points. I’ve been on the car scene for a few years now, although my family doesn’t really have any enthusiasts. I am from a city at Portugal and I’ve never driven a car in my life. It’s not that I don’t want to, I just can’t (I’m 14). And man, the first time my father let me drive his quad-bike around an airfield last year, it felt like magic. Same thing I felt when I went karting for the first time. It meant so much more to me than any car stats I know about and any knowledge I’ve gathered reading and learning about cars. I can’t even imagine the feeling I will get if I’m to be able to buy a sports car and drive it around a track. Now that I know what I’m missing I always try to listen more from people that actually drive, even if I “know more about cars”. This makes me feel kind of a noob when talking to other car guys, but I’m certain it will pass once I get my drivers license in four years time. :p
It’s so surreal to be watching these old videos, It’s the eve of me buying the mustang I’ve always wanted and it’s just so weird to see how far I’ve come
My local cars amd coffee in Wisconsin had me (95 Trans Am) and everything from a 63 Galaxie 500, to a subaru WRX to a Alfa Romeo Gulia to a Roush Mustang, etc. Loved the variety
I truly enjoy asking people what they have done to their cars. Everyone seems really chill about it and the conversation goes both ways with us. No matter the car I can appreciate people putting time and money into what they enjoy. People often have asked me why I have put so much into my G35 Sedan. Well to answer that,I enjoy working on cars and enjoy having a sedan that people don't expect to be fast.

I've been growing in this community for a couple years now and as my time til I get to drive has been closing I nearly entered the fleeting interest faze until my dad started buying mods for his truck. I personally find it hard to move away from this community when I watch a rx7 do a fat pull on a dino or some other car every day on youtube. I think I'm prepared to become a full fledged enthusiast with my first car planned; (a 2002-2011 subaru wrx/sti if I can find one) and I plan to love that car and love friends who love cars too. I hope you guys will be waiting for me. :)
I think my life for cars started when I watched F&F back in my very young years, and I seemed to enjoy watching the cars. Therefore I hadn’t started going deep into learning about cars till last summer, and damn it feels nice to finally understand aspects of the components of a car. Yet, I love hearing conversations and talking with my friends on Discord about cars (mostly about less known cars like a Dacia Sandero or a Lada Niva). Although I sometimes misconcept till i truly learn. I still assume I’m a beginner car enthusiast because I haven’t known it all yet, but i would like to thank you Bladed at most from where I learned (along with Donut Media, ChrisFix, and my friends). Keep up the awesome work.

I sort of have an excuse to not having car meets The reason is bc i live in morocco where there is a big wage gap. That means its or shitty old cars or SOME supercars. I searched for a long time but couldnt find anything
I'm 14 soo I'm living of off youtubers until I get my driver's license, but every day I look for or at an app for car meet or event that are happening and always learning something new that I didn't know about a car, also I play a lot of car games which i think help quite alot, can't wait to get my first car, I've learned a lot from videos and research and other stuff and I'm happy with it, keep up the great work.😀👍
You're absolutely right. I don't have my R33 GTS25 up here yet and I had a few people clearly call out my car as " a base model version of the Skyline that nobody wants." I reply with "ouch lol." I understand making fun of the R33 calling it a "boat" and I swear just to get a rise out of people I might play the song I'm on a boat by lonely Island in my R33.
There are no car guys in Israel, where I live, Because the police is literally spending resources in order to GET MODDED CARS OFF THE ROAD for no reason. It goes like this: "you replaced your malfunctioning drum brakes with carbon ceramic slotted 6 piston brembo brakes, so you must drive like a crazy person so off the road you go"
@@jasonvanmeir3978 pretty sure the closest one is mopar clubs weekly thats at the college parks tomorrow at 7am and another in seabrook island which is at 9am tomorrow, these two car meets are usually around the same area every week
It's not easy being a car enthusiast in Israel as the taxes on cars here are crazy, practically no mods are allowed( let's say I want to convert the rear drum brakes to discs on my 205 so the brakes won't overheat, it's illegal) and practically all maintenance and insurance is very expensive, and yet even I had a few track experiences and have met multiple people with the same passion, and because I don't get it often I just appreciate it and enjoy it more, and hell, maybe one day I'll move, but for now ill have fun whenever I can, and keep working so that one day I'll have a shelby in my parking spot :)
Great video. I love cars, but I hesitate to go to meets and stuff because my car, the car I wanted for years and saved up for, is a V6 Challenger. All I see online is shit for having a V6 Muscle Car, but it's what I wanted. I don't want to be laughed out of a meet.
Lmao I ask what kinds of cars ppl own a lot cause it may be a Benz or BMW but all them shits look the same "kinda BMW you got bro?" "It's an m3" "Oh nice had to ask cuz they all look the same"
I sorta feel ya there. I feel like the naming convention is partially to blame as well. You are less likely to remember a face if they have a boring name, same with cars. German cars have very alphanumeric names, no romance to it. "335i" "AMG C63" "M4 GTS" "850ci" Meanwhile Japanese, Italian, and American cars ACTUALLY HAVE NAMES! "Skyline" "Supra" "Diablo" "Murcielago" "Mustang" "Corvette" so you're more likely to pinpoint the cars apart from a crowd.
I mean Germany does it because it is easier to ship to other countries and not have to go through translations of other languages I think. @-@ in that sense it makes sense but well i dunno maybe they should switch it up a bit
@@BladedAngel I swear bro we could easily identify a simple name but the number and letter combo isn't working out especially since most cars produced by BMW and Benz maybe some other companies look the same.
My first time at a car meet was scary as a noob DD'ing an old-ass Miata. I walked around and asked about people's cars and then convoyed to a restaurant after. My car broke down on the highway and like 3 people pulled over with me to help out. They gave me shit, but at the end of the day, they were cool about it and were really helpful. You just gotta put yourself out there.
I once put a note on some guy's 04 Subaru WRX (which was and still is my favorite car) to let him know there's a meet in a village nearby. The way I found out about the meet was by getting a note myself. When I arrived at the meet I immediately rushed over to see if that subie was there and little did I know, after talking to the guy it turned out that he was the one who put that note on my car!
in the phillippines its really hard to find sports cars here even when i saw a stock gt86 that almost blew my mind cars for us here is really expensive :/

I recently sold my honda civic Ej2 and for now i am driving a 2013 Ford Explorer that was previously owned by my dad. I really want a Ford Mustang or a Gran Torino.
I drive a 14 Cruze and an 06 Expedition but hopefully by end of summer beginning of fall I will upgrade to either a Charger/Challenger or a used Maserati or even Alfa-Romeo
The way you started #3 is me every single time I try to remember how I thought 2-3 years ago. Also, to further prove your point, the best coworker I ever had was a muscle guy. I'm a JDM guy. We'd give each other's favorite cars shit for our entire shift, but at the end of the day, we just laughed it off, because we both know that, once the tires are on the asphalt, all bets are off, because the cars are just so close in their capabilities
You'll find your place in the community eventually. Still remember the first meet I went to and the only person I knew was the one friend that told me about it. I didn't know anything about cars but I've learned a lot since then and made lots of friends. I help out everyone in the community that I can. Also there is enthusiast's everywhere. I'm in the Midwest but have found enthusiasts all over the world.
There’s car guys everywhere near me and I live outside of Cincinnati. Just on my road with like 10 houses in a neighborhood there’s a slammed classic Silverado and a a guy with a pandem Miata and his friends bring cars like that all the time. I love it here
Im 14 and I've been interested for like a year or two and I love cars especially muscle cars, I plan on being a mechanic so I stay interested and learn about cars
In the PH, it's a bit hard to find good classics but there are some. But most of the cars in the traffic are stupid Suzuki's and Corolla with no matching rims and stupid wings also have a bright color with headlight/taillight tint and fart cans.
Hey bladed angel! do you think that it’s cool that my dad and I are buying cars, fixing them, washing them, polishing them and then selling them? Loved the Vid! Keep it up!

As a result of being around them my whole life I've grown to love the car and motorcycle scene, and your videos really help me understand the concepts of being part of the community. Next year I'll be able to get a license for a motorcycle so I'm really excited for it
That ending statement was beautiful.

Why do i watch these? I already know this.
Guess the videos are just straight 🔥

I love this youtube channel because you are like the father figure that gives hard realities but you can see the love and consideration of his word that supports you. I am coming back to the car phase and I am loving it even more since I got the experience to working/fixing cars full time as a job and I have that respect of project car builders I did not have before. This vid will allow me to take the extra step to go out to the world and look for meets to hang out with and know the car scene for myself instead of just hearing it. Love the videos man. I love the lessons you teach us.
I had trouble listening the commentary because I was too busy listening to the Vette making sounds in the backround. (I love corvettes)

Keep with the work! Don't stop it, like your teaching always and it never gets old!
Great video, it kind of opened my eyes too, even tho I already found my way into the scene, I always had issues to communicate with each other and even tho I like talking with my small group of people I never understood if they actually just don't accept my car choice or if they are just joking... Thankfully this vid helped me understand it 😊
Other then that, a brilliant video, and I agree with all these points.
Damn dude, I fucking love your vids
Wow, this video is genuinely encouraging. My teen life has consisted of stressing over what I want to be. I’m really only here because the car world was something I haven’t explored yet. Whether I actually want to become a car girl or not, I really enjoy accumulating the knowledge. Having a basic understanding of mechanics could go a long way for me. Y’all’s sense of humor and flavor of entertainment is intriguing and adorkable. Respect to all of you car guys 👍
Thx for the tips, I'll try to use them as I can. Unfortunately my parents aren't really supportive about this hobby.

This might be a dumb point, but if you are a young car enthusiast and you dont have your license yet one thing I would recommend if you have the money is if you play any racing or driving games buy a full wheel and pedal setup if you really want to have more of a feel of actually driving. and there are lots of good games on a wheel

As captain rex from star wars the clone wars once said " experience out ranks everything"

There are no car guys in Israel, where I live, Because the police is literally spending resources in order to GET MODDED CARS OFF THE ROAD for no reason.

Lmao I ask what kinds of cars ppl own a lot cause it may be a Benz or BMW but all them shits look the same "kinda BMW you got bro?"
"It's an m3"
"Oh nice had to ask cuz they all look the same"
I sorta feel ya there. I feel like the naming convention is partially to blame as well. You are less likely to remember a face if they have a boring name, same with cars. German cars have very alphanumeric names, no romance to it. "335i" "AMG C63" "M4 GTS" "850ci"
Meanwhile Japanese, Italian, and American cars ACTUALLY HAVE NAMES! "Skyline" "Supra" "Diablo" "Murcielago" "Mustang" "Corvette"
so you're more likely to pinpoint the cars apart from a crowd.
