I started having vicious panic attacks and daily anxiety about 3 years ago when i joined the real world (was a ski bum in Wyoming for 4 years after college. Just skiid everyday). When it started happening I had to give up my daily morning coffee. Coffee would kick in the anxiety so hard before i started work. Maybe ill try Matcha. Last panic attack i had was two week ago .... The day before i got married. Panic called the doc and he gave me 2 klonopins to get thru the wedding ceromony and first dances...hahaha .any suggestion for someone who has panic attacks just thinking about being center of attention? I quit golf - my fav sport - two years ago bc i had a panic attack on the course during a tourney. Doc offered to prescribe me benzos regularly so im thinking about that route. Also offered to prescribe SSRIs but ive heard horror stories and said no. Just ordered some penibut from liftmode per your old vids. Will be careful(only for emergrncies). Sorry if i spelled things wrong in this message or had poor grammar. I am currently typing with a broken right arm and bad concussion.
Caffeine is a good thing to cut out if you're dealing with anxiety. Matcha is a LOT better though. Maybe try it out and see how it affects you after some time. I don't blame you for needing a little bit of help getting through the ceremony - I think that's something MOST people can relate to with a degree of nervousness and anxiety. One of the best things I think I can tell you is to try and stop avoiding the situations where you have experienced panic attacks (golfing, etc). I tend to avoid medication (just personal preference), but I'd still say it's better to face your fear with some help than to avoid it entirely. Also, when we avoid situations where we experienced anxiety/panic, we sort of "validate" and reinforce those fears. This is how our comfort zone shrinks over time, and how people wind up with something like agoraphobia (the fear of even leaving the house). If you decide to try phenibut, please don't mix it with any other drugs that could have interactions (talk to your doctor first). I don't use prescription medication at all, but phenibut has been my go-to for quite some time if I just know I need to do something extremely stressful and don't want to risk avoiding it outright.
When do you start noticing that you are calmer, for example after 2 weeks of drinking it? Do you drink it every day? I would like to take it when my anxiety is really high, not necessarily every day. That small dose seems interesting 😯
To my understanding... the adaptogens within it should build in your system and work to help you better deal with stress pretty quickly. I like to drink it like 5 days on/2 days off, and take a week off every now and then just so I don't become too caffeine-dependent. With THAT SAID - if you're solely looking to decrease anxiousness, it's hard to know for sure if this will do that for you personally. The adaptogens and L-theanine could help ease your stress, OR the caffeine could just make it worse for you. If you just want to take some edge off your nerves occasionally - herbal passionflower tea is a great way to go. If you're looking to replace coffee with something less likely to cause jitters and anxiety - Magic Mind is great option.
