I'm 36, kites were a huge thing in my childhood, like you said all the little paper shops sold the cheap kites and then you'd get the nicer ones on holiday for the beach or big fields in windy days. I always used to love the plastic ones with the 2 sticks that you crossed over the back. Never lasted long but I loved them. So nostalgic 😊
aahhh good memories, the house you showed right next to Hilltop house is a B&B which is run by the sweetest people, it's dog friendly and the B&B itself is gorgeous and they do the best breakfast - for anyone in the comments section who might want to visit I'd highly recommend! x

Oh I don't think I would of been able to sleep after the moth encounter! I loved Beatrix Potters house , she certainly was a very clever lady with everything she did and how wonderful to leave all the property's to the National Trust. The afternoon tea looked lovely and what a great thing to have at your wedding , lovely to have something different . The Lake District certainly is a beautiful place to visit 💖🌺
