At 3:00, they tell him not to pass Denny. You see on the next straight, Jones lets off, gets behind Denny and never again gets along side him and blocks the inside line so the 41 can't pass. Then Truex adds to the block with fresh tires, never attempting to pass the 20.
"Don't pass him Jones...stay behind him and get what you can." If this isn't attempting to alter the outcome of a race, then I don't know what is. NASCAR doesn't seem to think so. Color me shocked.
haha... now we are 4 years later and it happens again with the 1 & 3 blocking for the 24 car but everyone acting like it was the first time it ever happened.
You can't manipulate the points and run bad just because you are on the same team. Jones can clearly pass the 11 but slows down immediately when he hears "Don't pass em Jones." 3:00
with this format, of course there is gonna be some BS controversy from the NASCAR Football League. 6 years of hell with this format, unreal... Also I will never understand why Team Orders is still a thing in Motorsports
@@anicav124 that’s not an excuse when you are screwed out of the championship 4 due to a gimmick system, despite the fact you have enough points, in a normal championship format, to outright win the title after Texas.
Not a normal championship 4 It's a *Playoffs* system. If Harvick ran well in any of the races in the round of 8 he would have advanced. He was like 50 or more points above the cut line. He lost his chance with bad finishes
EJ -"I don't have much to say to you about the end, I'll talk to you when I get back there" CREW - "yep, exactly" Erik Jones, completely neutered, by the team that fires him proves the man he is, or isn't.
We gotta think, did he give the middle finger to JGR by OBVIOUSLY letting off knowing people would realize and that it would ultimately lead to Hamlin getting knocked out of the playoffs?
Pretty immature take. When you're looking for a good ride (which he will be after next year) you don't want to project the image that you disobey your bosses. It's not rocket science.
@@patrickfoote738 there were better seats available next session and all of them passed on him. Hendrick, SHR, Ganassi, and Denny's new team. No one wants EJ, so what should he care? Being a company man didn't help this go round in free agency. He literally fell to the the best irrelevant team, you really think he would consider taking the suarez path seeing how terrific that's worked out for him? EJ was scorned by the team that brought him up, and he doesn't owe them anything.
@@Konformation07 he's not gonna fall up from there. If he can't succeed enough to stay at gibbs in top tier equipment, how many top 10s do you see in his RPM future? He's the next suarez.
Jones is fired after the next race he should have passed him. I hope Denny doesn’t win anything else. I just think it’s so obvious. Great job NASCAR I will not watch another race. I’m not a fan of either one but definitely not a fan of this trash. I wouldn’t hire Jones after this either.
BOOMERS stop whining about The Playoff Format - I Prefer it cause I'd rather see The Title come down to the last race not be handed weeks in advance anymore and that's coming from a fan that's watched since The Early 90's - I would get rid of RS Title BS and Waivers in The Top 30 and some tie breakers to change thats it

I wonder why this clip is in my recommended as of after the Charlotte roval 2022. Must be a coincidence.
How is this not a conspiracy...

Would you by any chance have anything from 2013?
Getting back here after last night's mess
Lol
If i was Erik jones im passing him as many times as i can. Remember jones wasn't going back to joe gibs racing this year.
Who said this is H.S?
It appears that it was Erik Jones.
Just a lot of b's to me" don't pass him" and you can clearly see him lifting,
Bye hamlin...hello harvick🤣
Harvick is under review too for admitting to wrecking Kyle Busch for the 1 point. So Bye Bye Hamlin and Harvick, hello Bowman !!!! Maybe ????
@@1119-w3u lol you're not wrong there. That would definitely be a silly season lol
That's how it should be if NASCAR wanted any integrity in their sport.. Harvick in Hamlin out..
Denny Hamlin about to win a title so go cry to your mom
