Managed to snag one through the EVGA queue system. So much respect to EVGA for handling this situation so well. Through all of this, they still manage to sell their cards at MSRP. I’ve been with EVGA ever since I built my first gaming PC, and I don’t think that will be changing anytime soon.
yeah EVGA is pretty amazing, I have been with them for MANY MANY years, I was a product development engineer for Alienware and Velocity micro, so we had a great relationship, I had with all companies of course, but EVGA was always amazing and their support and products are amazing as well.

It is funny how right now if you can find one in stock at microcenter these are the cheapest 3080 ti I have seen at $1,399. They keep stocking them in small limited quantities every 2-3 weeks at my local microcenter but they sell out within hours. If there is one thing I always liked about EVGA when I've bought from them, and I've bought from all brands, Asus Gigabyte, Zotac, Etc. is that EVGA with their warranty and customer service is some of the best out there
EVGA makes awesome products, but their support is #1, second to no one. Sell out within hours, I am surprised, I would have thought still within seconds.

The extended warranty option, oem hybrid cooler and possibility of adding three normal fans (in lieu of the shroud fans) had swayed me to this card.

What did you get yours for? I got mine for 1300 which isn’t bad since msrp is about 200 dollars lower. Got lucky. Going to water cool it in a new 12rh gen intel build with an i9 I’m working on. Got luckily and got some Ddr5 but not the kit I want but hey until more is available at least I’ll be able to build the entire system who cares what the ram looks like to start.

The fan connector is to connect another fan to it, not to connect it to your motherboard.

I ended up with ASUS this time around haha. Apparently they have official support and RMA service in where i live, whereas EVGA i would need to contact an international support and send the GPU to another country if something happens. So that turned my decision entirely

nah, you will see a performance improvement, but not worth the cost of this card, I would say wait for the 4 series, I am sure your card still rocks. I will have performance numbers on this soon, stay tuned my friend.
No, I would wait for the next generation of card to come out before upgrading. The 3070 is a beast.
Video Cards are off my list until 4000 series, my 2080Ti is still working great and I want that performance boost :) Double or nothing.

I was looking for another card. I already have the Asus Tuf 3080 $749 and 3090 $1729. I'm totally happy with both but was itching for another card to have for another PC build. I missed out on release day for the 3080 Ti. Strolled into Microcenter @ noon and to my surprise they had some GPUs in stock I didn't get a 3080Ti😢 They have some 3070s, 2 Gigabyte aorus 3090s in white a whole buch of AMD cards and 1 3090 as well and got the last EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3090. The price was $1889 USD. EVGA kept the prices the same for a while now. The EVGA 3080Ti is well priced @ $1,399. Asus has since increased there prices. The Tuf 3090 now is $2199 MSRP and the Tuf 3080Ti is $1899 MSRP🤦♂️ Why would anybody in their right minds not go for the EVGA 3090???? It's a 3090 for $10 less as compared to the Tuf 3080Ti card... 🤷♂️

yes and no. AS a reviewer, I am not biased on manufacturer, I would review what ever anyone sent me and I would give you my opinion on it. As a consumer, since I had to buy this card, EVGA is NVIDIA's #1 board partner, it was an easy choice BUT.... being that the GPU shortage is about, I had no choice really, it was the very first available. If you look at my wall, I have NVIDIA, AMD, XFX, EVGA, Asus, ASRock, I can't be biased, and definitely not a fanboy, I go where it makes sense. I have a problem with my evga geforce rtx 3080 ti ftw3 ultra gaming and my x570 msi ace motherboard it was impossible for me to put my graphics card in the pcie of the motherboard due to the plastic where there is audi boost mark I had to remove it so that my card fits correctly in the port do you have a problem because I see that you have the same motherboard as me and the same graphics card

I would like to ask if it would be better to mount this gpu vertical or keep it horizontal, because i see that i have to remove the glass panel of my Cooler Master H500P Mesh to make it cooler. Might vertical mount solve this problem? I was thinking about buying the Cooler Master Vertical Mount Kit to fix that, but i didn't see any comments about this graphic card saying if it worked or not.

The temperature of my house might be a problem sometimes because i live in hot place, except for now that we are in winter, but in cold days like we having now, gpu temps rise to more than 80°C. I think that maybe best solution would be to remove the glass panel while i play gpu demanding games, thnx for ur help!

@@NiTroMan007 I never like to undervolt as that can cause issues, if you have your system configured and cooled correctly all should be good

3 separate cables yes, but yes, you can use 6+2 cables, so lets say 2 x 8Pin cables coming from the power supply and 1 x 6+2 coming from the power supply and every combination in between, as long as they come from the power supply.

Make sure though, you install it the way I show you, to avoid potential corruption and get the most performance and also, I HIGHLY recommend to uninstall all your games and reinstall, if you don't you won't notice a performance improvement, or much of one since they are tied to your video card, here is the install guide: ua-cam.com/video/qsOC2IkKi1s/v-deo.html
3 things you will want to focus on, since your 5700XT has 2 is the PCIE connection, power requirements and drivers, I go over all of it. So excited for you, I also have a cooling guide if you need it.
@@ThisBytesForYou I'm upgrading from the 5700xt also. There were no new ones left on the site so I gambled on a refurb for only $708. Still has a 1 year warranty so hopefully it will be ok. On the games, do you recommend uninstalling them or can I just reinstall over what's there?
@@sticky1212 I always recommend uninstalling the old ones and installing the new ones as if you just install over, there is always just left behind and some stuff doesn't get overwritten, so you are actually running partially on older drivers so follow this guide: ua-cam.com/video/qsOC2IkKi1s/v-deo.html
@@ThisBytesForYou sorry I mean the games you mentioned should be reinstalled, not the video drivers. I guess uninstalling is better for the games too I just worry about losing saves. Most are on steam though so should survive.

Hey Man I need some help. So I had a 3070 and I upgraded to the 3080ti w/ an I7 and I mostly play warzone. However my frames are pretty much the same, I even drop frames . Average 120 on both maps. Watched 1000s of videos of different setting and still no luck .

I don’t mean to sound hateful but wouldn’t measuring the shroud of the fans with the inside caliper work for measuring the fan ? 😂
not sounding hateful at all, I love comments. Yes and no, its not exactly accurate to measure the shroud because the fans could always be to the edge or smaller. My day job, I work with a ton of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and I have become a little more anal with the measurements, not as good as them, but I am getting better.

Well, idle in my system is about 27°C, but you will see that monday.

They should include these things in the box for normal customers. All we get is the card.
well problem is, they lose a lot of money including things that a larger percentage of people wont use because they will buy newer ones and end of tossing them. You might not thing it, but EVGA and all the board partners don't make a ton off of these cards. They have to pay a large sum of money to NVIDIA for the gpu's, then all the parts for the standard design and then all the parts for the upper tier cards, R&D is included in that cost. This was the first time I had use a set of digital calipers, I used to always use rulers and such, we never needed to be that precise at Alienware or Velocity Micro. If we found issues, we would report them with we had, and hand them off, this was the first time I started using digital calipers, so I was getting used to them. Thanks though ;)

I see a cheap solution here, they use a copper base and this is bad, a nickel-plated surface is needed, I also see barrels of electrolytic capacitors, but they must be ceramic!

thats kinda hard to say yes or no to. I am a cheap bastard, I don't like paying a lot of money, but I paid this much for this card and close to 2gs for the 3090,... and this almost performs as well as the 3090.... soooo. I hope to have a review up in a few weeks of everything, but I am just so backed up.
