Lovely piece played beautifully.
Thanks Martin.
yeh ! just where you want it!
Very nicely done indeed, The Sleeping Tune is the most soulful tune I've heard.
Wow as a bagpiper and guitarist have to say hats off to you. Fantastic what you did with that.
Thanks James, appreciate that (particularly coming from your musical background!)
Beautifully done indeed. Well worth having a listen to the composer, Gordon Duncan, playing this tune on the pipes - this shows where Tony McM in his arrangement (and hence Will too) has deviated slightly from the composer's intention here and there. To some extent inevitable with pipe tunes I agree. That's the folk process in action!
Thanks Keith. And I couldn’t have put it better myself!
wonderfull
Anything you play a distinct quality to it.
I mean like "wow".
That’s good of you to say, Zeerak, thank you!
Fantastic...... one of my favorite tunes. Sounds very Metallica on the guitar, Gordon would have loved this!!!!
Ah thanks kindly!
There’s lovely
Awesone playing, beautiful guitar
Thanks kindly!
Absolutely stunning as always. I just got my first Fylde, a 1970s Goodfellow, and I think an Ariel must be on the cards some time :)
Thanks Len. And congratulations on the Goodfellow! As you can expect, I can heartily recommend the Ariel =)
Hello WIll this is an amazing song and your playing is truly sublime
Did you use the Sontronics Orpheus to record guitar? Is it good for acoustic recordings compared to other LDC mics?
Thanks kindly. I did use the Orpheus, yes, along with a matched pair of STC-1S pencil mics. I’m a big fan of the Orpheus, particularly as part of a 3-mic set up.
Masterpieces your work truly
Cheers Dan, appreciate that.

Thanks for listening!
@@will_mcnicol My pleasure! - May I ask, are there any notes or tablature? I would like to learn this lovely piece ;-)
I am speechless...This is just wonderful! May I ask, what strings are you using?
Thank you! Yes, Elixir HD Lights (13 - 53) 80/20.
You play that song so well! The sound of that guitar is so good! What model is it?
Thanks! It’s a Fylde Ariel =)
Excellent. What tuning are you using there, Will?
Thanks James. Csus2: CGCGCD.
😊👍
What tuning is this in?
Csus2: CGCGCD.
Stunning, Will, thank you. Tuning?
If I remember right, it’s CGCGCD, Lyndon
@@davejinx Thanks David. A new one on me!
Thanks for listening, Lyndon. And I can confirm that David does indeed remember right!
Beautiful !!! But I prefer the sound of steel strings on this tune.
Thanks Carlo! I agree, that’s why I used steel strings on this recording!
@@will_mcnicol sorry...I was confused by your soft touch...(I thought they were nylon strings). Fylde Ariel ?
@@carlodanteconti465 Ah yes, and the slotted headstock gives off nylon vibes as well. You’re right - Fylde Ariel.
Fantastically played!
Thanks, Gregory!
