My brother passed away 12/27/21 and this is what I play on my whistle when I think of him and will play whenever I visit his grave. He never got to hear me play at Christmas.
One of the most beautiful tunes ever written. Simple but yet so powerful. This wonderful rendition always brings tears to my eyes every-time I hear it.
What a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to Gordon Duncan by two incredibly brilliant musicians. This tune is devastatingly beautiful, as was the spirit of the man who wrote it. Thank you to all.
Gordon Duncan was an absolutely honour to meet, I have never forgotten the Day I spoke to him. It was at Blair Atholl Castle. This tune is just amazing, some tunes just get left behind, this one will never be forgotten. The Man himself will never be forgotten
The best version of this tune I have heard. I play this on the whistle (rather than stoke the fire) but have only heard it played somewhat faster so I never really appreciated just how beautiful and heartfelt it could be. I will be playing it at this pace from now on.
I have listened to this several times over the last few days (snowed in down South) and it is hauntingly beautiful. Duncan and Susana play with such passion and emotion. Oh how I wish there were a CD recording of this concert. Just love the music!!
Gordon was certainly a one-off! A great piper, a composer of some fantastic tunes and a character who is greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. Rest in peace, my friend!
I sat a table three rows from the front and cried my eyes out to this. I had the tune played as I walked down the aisle 4 months earlier at the Piping Centre. When I first heard it played by Wolfstone 2 years earlier I knew that was the song I was having at my wedding.
I hadn't realised that there was such a Celtic/Pipes culture in Galicia, until I started wintering in Lanzarote (Where my sons live) and listening to their Radio Tres;Such a sweet sound;Much more refined than the "War Pipes"

Never have I heard a song that stirred so much emotion. Rest in peace Gordon, your legacy lives on ❤️

A beautiful tribute for great Gordon....I feel very proud having a Spanish Galician piper like Susana Seivane
If only Gordon had of understood how much we all loved him and his work!!! Lovely man!
Just beautiful It was an honour to have you as a friend and neighbour Gordon and we miss you xx
Duncan Chisholm’s Sleeping Tune is played from his very soul. How beautiful is that!
Margie: He can't play any other way !!
Speechless... I can't describe with words how this makes me feel.... It is just awesome
Best pipe tune ever written...
A beautiful tune played beautifully by Duncan and Susana.

Stunning version of this timeless classic. What a beautiful soul it must have come from. RIP Gordon

So very beautiful and so heartbreaking. I have never cried such sweet painful tears as to this marvellous tune.

The best music is Always the sad tunes
Gordon Duncan loved so much the swetness of Galician Bagpipes...REST IN PEACE one of greatest pipers in history...now he is a MYTH
I think you might mean 'LEGEND' not "MYTH" (?) A myth is something that is made up, fiction, not real.
a beautiful and desperately sad tune, played with real pathos. The best redition I've heard.
Wow! Just WOW.
Brought tears to my eyes…wonderful!
So Lovely this many thanks for posting the dear tune well played

Everytime I watch and listen this performance can not understand the 2 dislikes

Maravilha 👌👌. Parabéns! A Seivane tem a seiva céltica do nascimento.
What a tune!!! Which pipes does Susana play?
That’s the Galician gaita she’s playing. An absolutely beautiful tone.

What type of smallpipes is this please?
Galician bagpipes.
Seivane family even make them.

Where can I buy this recording of the concert, particularly Duncan and susana?
Allan Henderson.
Duncan hisholm
Would love to hear these two on their own minus all the peri feral background which detracts from the musical beauty. (IMO)
Not as good as Justin Bieber.
