I just finished installing this winch kit on my '23 Tremor. This video along with the updated install instructions helped greatly and turned what I thought was going to be a nightmare of an install into something I did myself in my driveway in the better part of a day. Thanks for producing such a detailed video, without it I would have definitely been left scratching my head a few times.
I sure hope YOU didn't follow the crappy instructions and threw away your plastic trim piece.....
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod While crappy they were far better than most instructions lol. Trim was saved and reused as you showed here.

Use srewdrivers or pinch bar to hold winch in place till you get a bolt in. Also no TORQUE Wrench...I guess next FORD recall 😂 I would put silicone on hot lead studs so no short or nut backoff.
I forgot all the people who didn't play with Legos I must use torque specs, my apologies

Great install video. I have the same winch installed on my F250 Platinum Tremor w/6.7. Unfortunately I live in a state that requires a front license plate. I've been searching the web for a solution. This winch does sit recessed, so it's hard to find a hause mount. What have you or your viewers found that works? Thanks
I don't think I have had anyone comment on the winch with front plate usage. Well that sucks man...
I watched you with rainman ray so i started watching your videos as well. even though i dont have a ford f series truck family does have new bronco. very tech oriented so i like the cam install setup, replacing /upgrading broncos speakers for christmas.

great video. I just installed it and was easy. I'm wondering if I'll experience any overheating since I'm removing the lower air scoop. The winch takes up that space now. it seems that air intake was substantial for cooling.
If it did, then Ford wouldn't have designed a kit to go there
Installed a Ramsey 9500 on my Jeep years ago. Out in the open so simple compared to this. Thanks for the video.
Clearly it will be a pita to service but on the plus side definitely harder to steal.
Quality work as usual. My 2024 Tremor is arriving next week, I can only hope the install is as good as this but I doubt it will be

Hi ARod ! Hope you are having a grerat New Year so far! Any chance you recall the name/brand of the rack you used to set the bumper on in the shop during this install? i think it would be perfect for my tailgate when I remove it to install my slide in truck camper. when rack not in use it looks like it stows nicely! Keep up the great work on all the videos. I really like them for my 2021 F-450.
I got it from Cornwell tools. Was in the body shop equipment

I got a 2024 F450 king ranch with the high output 6.7. Any idea if it will fit my truck ? Instructions say only if without aux radiator but cant find how to tell
No 450s you can't. Go look where it goes. You have a lil radiator there...

Let me get this straight. So the truck is $100.000 and you have to spend another 3500.00 dollars for a winch. Looks good but I would rather have an aftermarket bumper with a winch. Very good install video.

Can I install this on a 23 F250 without dual alternators? Will it work OK?
Dual alt us required
Ford says you need 2 but winches have been put on trucks for years without a second alternator. You do have 2 batteries so I think there's enough power capacity to run a winch. Really , how often are you gonna make a super long demanding pull with your $90k new truck? If it does need add power, a bigger (aftermarket?) alternator could be added or better batteries (more capacity). It's your truck so ultimately you make that call. If you *order* a new truck, the computer builder makes you choose the dual alt option, but im sure accessories are added ALL the time that ford doesn't necessarily 'approve' of , or say you need x, y, & z to be added first. Just do it man! I would if I had one!🤔🤷🏻♂️🛠️🔩🔩👍🏻👌🏻

I have a 2021 tremor f350 and had the winch installed by dealership. My cruise control only worked for a year and hasn’t since. Dealer said the bracket bent from using the winch wrong. The truck has never been side winched and can’t fix it. So frustrated. Anyone ever heard of a sensor relocation or a fix to my problem? I regret getting it so far, love my cruise control

Agreed, I took it back today not fixed but with an 800 dollar teck bill. I’ve punched three new vehicles from them but never again. Now I need to find someone to help. Alberta Canada if anyone is out there. By the way, loved your vid

Sorry for the off-topic question I have a 2016 Ford F250 and I am having trouble with my starter or actually with my truck starting if the key is in the run position and I ground out the two post on the starter. It will start right up but it will not start with the key. I looked underneath everything seems to be connected but the small wire going to the starter is yellow but right next to the starter it’s another wire with the terminal that is not connected to anything . I will send you a picture if I can can you tell me what this wire goes to I am at a loss I appreciate your time and again I apologize for the off-topic question.

I just installed this kit on my 2024 f350 and it’s throwing a pre-collision assist code. Nothing blocking the sensor. Any idea what could cause that?
Probably 1, don't have the module plugged in l...or left the bumper unplugged, or 2, ya need to perform the alignment procedure....

Those are cheap looking fasteners. On the closeups, they look like they're standard not metric sized. OE fasteners usually have captured washers and/or flange bolts and nuts. Like the original ones you removed. Also the coating would be black oxide or zine plated. I'm sure the grading is correct and will do the job, but this is what annoys me about aftermarket add-ons. This is, in no way, a critique of your workmanship. Thanks for the video.
