    I put a front receiver hitch on my 2000 F250. It's been really handy. And I did my install by myself. I'm sure you'll find it handy.

      Yeah, I was thinking I could even put a cargo basket up there for gas cans or whatever. Seems like a good deal

    Sweet, man. I’ll have to order one of those too. Looks great. I have a Dodge D300 (1973) that’s RWD that also likes to get stuck sometimes. I’m an expert at not being able to get it out. Maybe all that can change 🤞
    Good work as always. I hope this season is a busy one for you 😎

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  2 роки тому

      That '73 Dodge is a keeper! I'm thinking the front hitch could be good for a rack, too ... thanks man

    You'll love having the beefy winch. Consider running cables with a quick connector to the back of the truck. There will be times when having a winch on the back is more convenient for a job like pulling out a stuck trailer

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  2 роки тому

      you're exactly right: to have that baby in back would be amazing in some situations. I hope you're well buddy!

    See, I have been thinking about a wench for the old Cummins, because it is just RWD (four rear wheels tho, lol) and I do occasionally take it places it probably should not go or feel sketch when I pull there.. perhaps wench + diff_locker = better odds.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  2 роки тому +1

    Yeah, just digging into car work is how a lot of us have had to learn. Still, it can create some interesting situations when you break off a spark plug during changing them out and you're 100 miles from the nearest auto shop. Will never consider myself mechanically inclined.

    • @metaspencer

    What most guys do is Mount the plug to the top of the bumper and then leave your cable on your winch long enough to plug into it and that way when your winch isn't hooked up you can use a set of jumper cables with your quick connector as well

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Рік тому

      Sounds like a better way to do it for sure -- fortunately, I've been keeping my winch hooked up 24/7 just because I use it so much. It's been great to have. Thanks man

    I like this reciever hitch I am sold I have an f250 with the 7.3 engine I use it for hunting sometimes it seems like with this receiver hitch and winch cradle you can take the winch off and slide it into the back tow hitch if I run the power to the back . Am I right? Will it slide in just like a tow hitch.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  8 місяців тому

      Yeah you can move it around. I sometimes put this one on the back and power it with a long set of jumper cables ... you could also put a battery back there to run it or run wires on the frame. It's great to have a winch out there
