In the first game, you could use the emperor to blink vagavoth and it would re-enter the battlefield under your control, because when it comes back into play it goes into the play under the owner's control
Exactly while watching this, I faced a similar deck in explorer. I played Grixis Rogues. He tapped out and I got a Zareth through, snitching Portal to Phyrexia. That got me the green Overlord, fixing my mana problem. Then he played Atraxa, which got Drown in the Loch'd and then reanimated by Portal to Phyrexia. Somehow feels bad to push someone for playing high mana cost cards when the thing I hate the most are rush-decks. And on the topic: This is magic! Having a head-to-head duel where thinking is mandatory. Can't believe this is a rarity with all that early stuff floating around nowadays.
As powerful as some of the spells were in the 90s we were happy with a turn 6-7 win. Turn 3 wins are cancer. Especially when the mana creates so many non games for one side or the other.
Vannifar get's any card out of hand for free and if your hard casting at turn 7 and 8 things went bad and you probably lost. Just a fun combo trying new cards for the even. Could choose vaultbourn or other threats that match colors better but just experimenting.
@@SwayzeMTG That makes a lot of sense, I saw what you were going for but you were stuck with uncastable cards so often. Feels kind of bad. Great content as always, I love how you always come with a unique brew.
Breach the multiverse can only take planeswalkers or creatures from the graveyards, so can't take your portal Also in your games I noticed you never really making use of Fortune, Loyal steed, you could have often flipped a facedown card the same turn you play it by attacking with the steed
Was watching while playing ranked, turn my head for a min and look back and there's 50 permanents on the board in your game..."wtf just happened?" Solid deck, makes me excited to start experimenting with manifest dread mechanics.
You would have stopped the 17/17 from attacking the second time if you would have attacked with the 6/6 to get 2 extra flyers. Then you would have had time to get that second portal.
Deck contains 4 invalid cards for this format: Growing Dread (DSK), Hauntwoods Shrieker (DSK), Overlord of the Mistmoors (DSK), Valgavoth, Terror Eater (DSK). they are deedited?
Damn this kinda makes me wanna try sth weird with manifest dread. Growing Dread has MV 2 and all Manifest dread creatures have MV 0 so Temporary Lockdown would hit aggro and your own cards. And if you get rid of your own Lockdown you return everything. Just what would be the best card to remove ones own Lockdown. But maybe just flickering a single card is the more efficient way to go.
That last game was nuts.
The last game 🤣 But true 👍

Game vs Hello GG was nuts ! Would be much easier tho if u exile his 17/17 and use the saddle mechanic to flip instead.
Game 1 was crazy! Cool set. Standard looks fun!
I knew as soon as he tapped all his creatures what was next, so brutal.
I kept looking at the timeline like "it must be over soo- ANOTHER 30 MINUTES!?!?"
Epic match dude!
This is the magic I came to see!
Seems like it makes more sense to just put black in your mana than it does to just be stuck with cards you can't cast.

Just a thought you can phase the dread out at the end of opponents turn to prevent them from removing what you may reveal
Tfw homebrew deck finally pops off but opp still playing a real deck. Cool game!

They're from the new set.
Wild game
That battle, against HelloGoodGames, was Legendary!
103 lives its crazy

Blink the Valgavoth with Eternal Wanderer, you get it back.
the warden you stole can tap them for free. wish you saw it.
it can only be activated at sorcery speed
First game, could have blinked your creatures stolen by the opponent to get it back on your side
look how much more fun magic is without monored and control decks
The gift that kept on giving. Such a grind. Good on you for sticking it out and rip to hgg who maybe lost a video
el mejor streamer de mtg, saludos✌️
Comment for Algorithm!!! Keep up the awesome content.
Great deck idea, but poorly built. Great video!
Eleventy eleventh
first view, yaaas!
Yeah, having 17/17 flying enemy and waste your removal for blink? nice 1 hour game
Such a greedy play and welcome to a one hour standoff snoozefest

Dude look up mono red turn 2 win that's here now. Tons of people will abandon bo1 and it will be mono red fighting mono red.
(shock face)
Very poor deck. So janky
This is where MTG is horrible, I absolutely hate staring matches
LOL impasses aren’t fun because the first good top deck wins.
