15:30 it’s not fair, they should’ve included a method of dealing with infinite combos by now. In paper you could’ve just explained the loop in 20 seconds and ask if he can interrupt it and that’d be game. It’s arenas fault for not programming some kind of bypass or recognition that you’re doing an infinite loop
@@godlynewbie depends on how popular infinite combos are, the more people getting pissed off at how long it takes the more people drop the game which means less store interaction
@@shnorkeythefourth4572 It only matters if the infinite combo is consistent enough, hard to interact with, and is very fast. Most of the time, the meta infinite combos either crumble to interaction or get banned before the next worthwhile infinite combo with new cards comes along.
I mean, you could also have some kind of scripting system, which would allow players to execute repeatable actions faster, no need for the system to have a way to understand what you are doing. Would also help with things which aren't infinite but require a lot of clicking.
This is super cool and I’m so happy to see it, but I’m not worried about this ruining standard. People are going to have kill spells and board wipes. I don’t think it’ll be consistent.
Praise the lord more Abzan bangers in Standard! I'm playing a similar build but with a bit more Squirrel aggro strat with Honored Dreyleader and another wincon with Elas il-Kor for the upcoming Standard Store Champs at my LGS - wish me luck! Hahaha
The problem with mill after this set is turn the earth rotating with no replacement so there is going to be no counter play to mill or poison now 2 win cons that you can’t counter is going to be a bit annoying.
First game should have ended at 7:31, Since you had played your big kitty and turned all their creatures into the food. All they needed to do was put their class at level two and they could have milled you out.
Worse than the current meta landfall deck. Thanks for demonstrating it. If a player decides to use this deck I’ll simply walk to make a cup of tea - let them enjoy furiously clicking while the rope threatens them.
I thought they didnt want infinites in Standard? Dont know why I thought this. But this seems like another annoying deck that they wont do anything about until theyve sold enough Bloomburrow stuff. Great.
Did they even playtest this? Seems odd to have such an obvious combo. It's almost a pure and simple interaction. Like did they really just sit there and create a standard infinite?
The cracks were already showing that they don't do proper play testing and the fact they won't ban because they just want to sell cards and wild cards mean they will have ruined standard
It's not odd. iirc, game devs don't want Standard to have consistent and fast combo decks. The infinite combos with these food synergies are at a reasonably slower pace, are inconsistent, and require very specific card combinations.
I'll copy paste from another comment: The combos in this deck are inconsistent, require very specific board states, and are reasonably slow. If food synergies with these cards become meta, I'll be very surprised.

Imagine if Swayze was the only content creator showing off food synergies from Bloomburrow (which he wasn't since you saw game 1). You complain about netdecking... but it really doesn't take a genius to look at cards that interact with sacrifice, token, and food mechanics and go "oh, let's put these cards in a deck together". It also doesn't take a genius to understand that players like to use new cards from new sets in TCGs.
I have zero interest in being a content creator. I’m thankful for the content creators we have so I can see what’s incoming and judo chop my way to mythic.

Infinite combos are the only goal in historic.

Interesting brew loved how you fast forwarded through all the triggers to mill Jamie 🎉
Love to see the Scavenger brews. Very cool
At the end he figures it out! :)
Glad you got around to trying it :)
Very nice deck Swayze, as a combo enjoyer myself I like the multiple options to combo off

Lol
Token sac decks are a lot of management but this is a great list. Excited to see how this goes.

None of these cards are showing up for me? I’m in standard and I’ve selected “not collected” as well?

at the end of the vidoe you dont go infnet because the enchantment gives a food token only once per turn
Infinite

Scavenger is not an infinite combo, it only triggers the first time a creature dies each turn.
Please lord don’t let this be a popular deck
You know it will be. People are draw to crap like this
I totally wasn't running around asking a bunch of people to build this btw 😅
Adding in elas kor for life gain and drain. Another infinite win con
And Beseech the Mirror to tutor out combo pieces for consistency. Triple black means it might be better in 2 color, but still.
I don't understand people complaining about this deck. They gave the cards to the best deck builders out there and guess what happened.
And I thought the Nissa aftermath analyst was annoyingly long. It will be an instant scoop if this starts happening to me in standard.

Merfolk infinite is already in standard. These seem easier to pull off tho..
It's not fast, and it rely on multiple creatures, which are the easiest type of permanent to deal with.
So it's not a problem.
No need to play test … you will be dead by turn 5 most games anyway.
Just no.

Even if we had a smaller standard as usual the combo would still work, it's just kind of a squirrel thing
With the extended rotation Standard is Historic Light, so this is what we get now.
Nice video. Terrible music.
Sorry, man. I love the channel, but once these infinite combos pop off they’re such a drag to watch.
