Today i learned a really important lesson: always give a mono red player the chance to mess it up. In the end the win might still be yours. 🎉 I wish I had recorded this game- it was hilarious 😂 And them spamming Good Game was the cherry on top
I don’t like or play mono red but I understand why people flock to it when half the decks out there are nothing but board wipes until they can play a combo that’s practically unbeatable. It’s either lose on turn 1-2 or waste your time and pretend you can actually win until turn 5 when they reanimate atraxa or Valgavoth. I prefer to actually have a chance and if they kill me at least it was turn 2 so I can get into another game quick. But that’s just me lol
I feel like the fix for Leyline could have been make all the Leylines legendary so they can’t stack and for resonance specifically make it only trigger once per turn
I feel like I'm in the minority, but I've barely run into Leyline of Resonance. Maybe my opponents just didn't have it. I am sick of Valgavoth though. Every deck is reanimator now.
Mono red is sillier by the day, each update makes it worse instead of fixing the issue. Well, I believe people want to win at any cost... but I can't see how winning like that is any fun. You got to play a single mana in the matchup though, I guess that's something. 😅
I think WotC sees monored dominating the meta and they think they're giving players more of what they want. Resonance would have to commit an actual murder for them to even consider a ban.
At the same time it is absolutely necessary not everyone has 4 hours to play games just to get through their dailys. I usually play 8~12 games of mono Red, then whatever I find fun to play, otherwise I just don't have time to do anything else. If they were to reduce it to say just 8~10 wins then maybe I could see weakening mono Red. Otherwise free to play players are just going to quit, I barely ever have more than 2 decks besides my mono red that are competitive enough that I'm not wasting 30 minutes just for a single win.
@@OchsSlayer Well that's the point, I'm diamond but getting to that point with only a regular deck is exhausting. I usually use mono red to climb most of the way there, since I just don't have the time to spend say 30 minutes on two matches using mono black against blue, white control. Then there's the fact even in unranked everyone seems to play just to win and well some decks just don't stand a chance against mono red, or top meta decks.
Not sure how you're not mythic #1 with a ~90% win rate. Maybe you're only showing the games you want to be seen 🤓 Would be interesting if you genuinely played 6-10 straight games instead of selecting 6-10 games out of 20+
