    So I just did this with my mom and it worked perfectly! I have done so many at home masks and skipped this one for years because it looked bunk. It got so hard and removed not only bumps but all my peach fuzz I normally shave... girl you saved me and mom from caking more make up on. Now my skin is nice so nice. Thanks so much!

    Thank you for this tip, it works for a sort of rash I get on my face, it takes all the little bumps and dry skin off. I have had various creams from doctors and nothing worked. My skin also gets terribly dry and once again nothing worked, except good old fashion Vaseline! So with wood glue and Vaseline rash and redness and dry skin patches are gone.

    When she said it "removes everything " she wasn't kidding. It really does!
    Now, I regret doing this DIY because the first time I did it was certainly the last. I have no more blackheads or whiteheads to remove now because there's no chance of them growing.
    My pores... Face--save for a few eyelashes--literally came off with the mask!!! Goodbye pimples too!!!

    You can also use a toner then rub an ice cube on your face to shrink the pores after using this mask. Then pat dry and apply facial serum or cream. I did it and my pores were almost invisible afterwards!

  • @lukeleshnitzel327

    I applaud you for doing that full face mask and not messing up your makeup. GURL you gots the skills!

  • @ChevyisBetter
    @ChevyisBetter 6 років тому +36

    This really doesn't do shit unless you wash your face down with cold water or ice afterwards. The hot water opens up your pores and keeps them open so the mask can pull out all that dirt and oil and stuff, but people always forget to wash their face down with cold water to close the pores back up so now you've left them open for dirt, grime and sweat from your hands, pillowcases, blankets, towels, etc. to clog them back up.

  • @emilywalker2002
    @emilywalker2002 7 років тому +644

    you're supposed to seal pores with cold water afterwards, that way no excess dirt and grime get in right after you've opened your pores. Warm cloths tend to open your pores even more. Just saying...

    • @Beanasaurus
      @Beanasaurus 7 років тому +94

      The warm cloth (I believe) is to wipe off the left overs of the mask. You can use cold water after the warm water to close the pores if you want. She also wrote in the description to use toner at the end to close off the pores. Maybe next time read the description?

    glue??? no..no no no. I dont know if you are familiar with the gelatin peel off mask, but you just heat 2T of coconut milk, add 2T of unflavored gelatin, add activated charcoal ( 1tab). This is WAY more beneficial for you. please do not put glue on your face. so much caca is in the glue. (PLus the gelatin help fill in wrinkles, its what you NEED for your skin)

    The smoothness everyone freaks out about and says is how good it worked is most likely from the layer of skin that been pulled off. Ur rubbing fresh skin that hasn't hardened yet

    • @spartan456
      @spartan456 4 роки тому +13

      That's kinda the point. Salicylic acid, a very common acne treatment, does the same thing. It eats the outer layer of skin piece by piece to expose fresh skin underneath it. The purpose of it is to expedite exfoliation, and exfoliation is the same process as what you described --- removing old skin to expose new skin. But salicylic acid can be quite powerful even when heavily diluted for different types of skin, so that's why these types of charcoal masks exist.

      glue CLOGS your PORES and these things on the mask these aren't BLACKHEADS THESE ARE SEBACEOUS FILAMENTS THESE PROTECT YOUR SKIN AND THE BLACKHEADS DON'T GET REMOVED THE SEBACEOUS FILAMENTS RENEW EVERY THIRTY DAYS SO YOU ARE LITERALLY DOING NOTHING but DAMAGING YOUR SKIN....
      i do recommended the Paula's choice 2 percent exfoliating solution its WAY BETTER AND IT DOESN'T DAMAGE YOUR SKIN.

      Could have been. as mammals all humans are covered with very fine hair. I'm not sure the strength of this mask though if we wanted to use it as a wax for tougher hair. I've seen some girls using it to lighten their underarms so perhaps it could be used as a wax. Hence why she said to avoid your eyebrows. If anyone knows let me know. :)

    -i used non toxic white school glue
    3.can i just use glue with out the charcoal?
    -you can but it won't be nearly as good of a mask

      Charcoal is really good at absorbing a lot of things, that's why it's also used in people who have alcohol poisoning. In this case, it's literally drawing out the gunk in a black head (which is a pore clogged with dirt, bacteria, sebum, etc).

    • @AngeliqueJuliette
      @AngeliqueJuliette 8 років тому

      Charcoal is what draws the blackheads out and the glue is so can peel it off. You can do it without the glue and use something else.

    CAN I MAKE A JAR OF THIS A KEEP IT? OR WOULD IT SOLIDIFY??

    • @babyteddybear5205
      @babyteddybear5205 8 років тому

      I think you can keep it in a jar but make sure it's closed tight

    • @candicehoneycutt4318
      @candicehoneycutt4318 8 років тому

      Seal it tight, keep it out of the sun, and stir it every once in a while to keep it from solidifying.

      I guess you could make it emptying the glue container by half and then adding the charcoal there. I don't think it would solidify like that.

    Hey guys I'm going to start a q and a comment here a lot of the same questions are being asked so maybe if i put them into a comment y'all will see the answers better :)
    Where do i buy the charcoal?
    -at Walmart of a pharmacy maybe also you can get it on amazon :)
    Can i use regular charcoal.
    -im going to be completely honest and say i dont know if you can but i do know you can make your own activated charcoal there are a lot of videos on it on youtube its a lengthy process though if you dont have the time then just buy yours at amazon or walmart :)
    Is the glue safe and what kind did you use
    -it is non toxic school glue :)
    What does the peppermint extract do
    -It gives a nice tingly sensation like some face washes and it also makes the mask smell nice.
    How much of what do i need?
    - It depends on where you are applying it if to your whole face (make sure you dont have hair on your face weather you wax, later haired removed,shaved,or use removal cream) if you dont want to do that then just apply to nose and chin (under the lip) i used around 4 or 5 tables spoons of glue to how ever much powder you want to put in maybe 1 to 3 tablespoons :) (for my whole face)
    Why do you pull up.
    - It actually helps with pulling out the blackheads
    I HOPE THIS HELPS EVERYONE!!! :) Thank you so much for watching :)
    -josie

      How much glue, pepper, and charcoal did you use? What are the measurements?

    • @beautybyjosiek
      @beautybyjosiek  8 років тому +2

      i used about 4 to 6 tablespoons of glue to about 2 tablespoon of charcoal powder and just a drop of peppermint extract but if you have hair all over your face i advice to just do your noise and chin :) that will take half the ingreidients :) thank you so much for watching :)

    • @beautybyjosiek

      +MsMelody245 yes it does take out hair if you have peach fuzz and dont want to remove it i would suggest only applying this onto your nose and chin it is just as effective and more comfortable. but always remember every one is different and you should always try a small test patch first thank you so so much for watching :)
