Hi everyone! It's been a while. I uploaded a follow up video to this one, but this time, I tried Biore's Charcoal Pore Strips (and no, I'm still not sponsored!). You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/IizQDI-hW-w/v-deo.html I also linked it in my description box! I tried to be much clearer in my explanation and I also changed up my process, so make sure to check it out! There's also some satisfying peel porn and close-up shots once again LOL. 😂 Thank you so much for watching!
Michelle Kanemitsu a little tips is that you should use some pore tightening seruma after because If you do this regularly your pores will only get bigger every time and blackheads will come back more often
Li.sartorius Sartorius : ofc they will comeback that's just how it is. But what I did to minimize it to the point where my pores seem almost non existent, is that I used the Aztec clay mask.
Thehispanic gringa: not all of that residue is blackheads, chances are most of those are naturally occurring sebaceous filaments the skin produces as a protective measure . That's why they will keep coming back no matter how many times they are ripped out or removed via other means.
Pro tip: I always use a wet wash cloth right after applying the pore strip. I lightly press it onto the strip to make it a bit more moist. This makes it even easier to mold the strip to the contours of your nose etc. Wait until completely dry before peeling it off. In my experience, the strip then takes out 2 times as much gunk from my nose.
You actually shouldn't use these at all. The reason why these things don't work for most people is because they aren't blackheads. Those are not supposed to be removed. Those are sebaceous filaments, which occur naturally and will continue to come back when/if somehow pulled out/removed. It actually hurts the skin when you remove them. Pore strips are a gimmick people buy into, they don't work and they shouldn't.
Sidney Cope That's why she used the baking soda so that the white/blackheads would stick out a little more. Toothpaste mixed with baking soda and bit of water to make a paste also works to get blackheads out. you just use a soft-bristled toothbrush to scrub the mixture onto your nose for about 30-45 seconds. Then wipe away blackheads with a warm wet washcloth. Baking soda does wonders.
Hey everyone! Thank you all for watching and for all of your great comments. Just wanted to clarify that this method is not to be done daily, and it may not work for everyone. This is just what I found works for ME. Remember to be cautious when trying it for the first time, and if something doesn't feel right, stop whatever you're doing and do not ignore it! You know your skin better than anyone else. But of course, another option is to just see a dermatologist and hopefully they will be able to help you. Some people have also recommended using an apple cider vinegar toner after removing the strip since this should rebalance your skin's pH levels. Also, make sure you don't leave your faucet running like I did. ;) Another water saving tip is when removing the residue that the strip may have left on your face after peeling it off, wipe your face with a damp paper towel instead of splashing your face with water. Keep in mind that I'm not a dermatologist/doctor of any kind. I'm a plain girl who simply wanted to share her findings with others. Good luck and I sincerely hope it works for you! :)
Michelle Kanemitsu haha you don't even need to be Korean and they can train you to sing and dance. any way that's what we all say about being not being able to sing but nvm
Michelle Kanemitsu part of the reason you get lots of blackheads is cause you (not to be mean) have really big pores so you should try a cream that makes your pores smaller and see what happens cause when you clean them out they will get bigger and bigger cause of all the pulling you are doing at them which will create bigger blackheads
I tried this today and while my results were not as great as Michelle's, I did get more blackheads than I ever have before! Will definitely do this again!!! THANK YOU ❤
It worked! I never really got any visible results from pore strips before . I actually tried your tip with biore baking soda cleansing scrub instead of regular baking soda. It feels amazing on the face and very tingly, you can cleanse your whole face with it. I also steamed my face for a bit 1st to really open things up.Thanks so much for this tip!
Omg. I just did exactly as you instructed and I'm amazed with the results! Grinning from ear to ear with all the gunk it got! Thanks for the great tip! I used biore as I already have a pack around. That baking soda tip really leaves the nose so smooth and slippery!
Thank you so much, Michelle for this video! I have been using pore strips for a while now but following your tutorial gave me the most satisfying peel off ever! What made yours different is the application of baking soda! You're the best!
jackie rocha ACV is often too harsh on skin. I learned this from my facialist. She told me that if you dry out already oily skin it will produce even more oil! Be careful everyone :)
My son (17) has been battling cyst acne for years. He goes to dermatologist regularly and was recently put acutane. He has tried it all. Being his mom I didn't want him to suffer with acne like I did. He current face care include Lush dark angels cleanser, pure organic honey, and a toner with his prescription. Once a week we use something' similar to strips: charcoal masks. Finally results are occurring. His back and chest are clear and his face has fewer breakouts. Keep up the work on the channel, remember guys need advice also...
I totally understand his pain. I've had acne since I was 10 (I'm 21 now), and I recently started to develop cystic acne about 3 years ago. I'm glad he found a solution! I might try that out myself. I'm seeing a dermatologist right now, but the results are a little lacking. I'm planning to do more videos about acne and skincare, and they'll definitely be for anyone, not just females. :)
AlyArt Acne is a pain. My acne used to be so bad that it literally hurt to touch the lower half of my face because of how many pimples i had. I did go to the dermatologist and was put on tretinoin, and got laser treatments to get rid of scarring, but what really helped me clear up my face was cutting out milk and other dairy products. Don't get me wrong, i still eat cheese and yogurt every now and then but cutting out dairy has helped my acne immensely. I don't know if this would help your son or not, but I just wanted to share what helped me with my acne because i know how painful and Annoying it can be.
My son did use Tretinoin for a treatment for a while, but the effect was minimal. For the scarring he uses a fade cream and lemon juice. He used this on his surgery scars on his arm. We try not to use too much of anything since he is on acutane. This is his last month of treatment and only side effects have been dry lips. It was his last resort. He eats a good diet, little to no fried foods, limits tomato sauces. Dairy is not big for him as he is lactose intolerant. He really wanted his acne gone so he tried everything including diet, exercise and every OC treatment. Acne is painful not only on the outside but inside. Parents need to know how truly painful it can be mentally on a teenager. Teenagers do not have to suffer as there are so many treatments, unfortunately most are doctors prescribed. As a parent who suffered, I made sure son did see a doctor about his acne. Yes it does cost$,but we buy super expensive coffees and other things, put that money aside and get to the dermatologist. It will be money well spent.
AlyArt Hey Aly! I would take a look at his diet as well. Greasy foods, sugary foods, etc. are one of the major causes of cystic acne. Have him eat clean foods like grilled chicken and leafy greens for a week or two and see if it makes a difference. I know it helps my breakouts disappear!
This really fricking worked! Thank you so much!!! I was starting to get frustrated with buying a bunch of pore strips and having them not work, but this totally made them work a 100 times better.
Yeah, if the blackheads are deeper and have been there longer then they tend not to come out easily. I have this problem and not really sure what to do because they don't come out using masks/strips!!
It's because everyone's face is different, deeper black heads means pore strips won't work for you, other methods are better for deep blackheads and others are better for more pronounced blackheads
Katrina Moss I have experienced the same. I had 3 blackheads get increasingly worse over the course of 3-4 weeks. They never surfaced for extraction. I didn't know what to do until I did research and used the techniques I thought would work best for me. What worked: 1 used of bentonite clay (follow directions), next day- cleanse/exfoliate, later that night, toothpaste on affected area (20mins), lay a hot towel over your face (as warm as you can take it) then extract blackheads/ whiteheads by pinching contents out or using Biore nose/ face strips. after every wash I used 1part water and 1 part apple cider vinegar as my toner. This process worked perfectly for me.
I'm so happy with the results - there was plenty more blackheads removed from my nose and chin with the help of this video and especially the baking soda! Thanks!
This is great girl! Thank you! Another tip, once you've applied the strip, take a dry towel and push the stop down, not to hard, but really rub it flat and into the contours.
I used the biore strips and they worked so well. I used to use pore strips but they never worked. Only some gunk will come out of the pores. I tried this and the whole strip was covered with blackheads. I was so shocked and my nose felt so soft after. Thank you and keep making useful videos like this :)
you need a serum/treatment with BHA dahling. to help exfoliate not just the surface of your skin but inside your pores as well. that'll also help in reducing the pore size
Trying this right now! I've never done a skin care routine and the strips didn't work great on their own, but hopefully this works! I will add that I'm also using the Biore face bar in combination with the strips and as an everyday facial cleanser. It is minty and rejuvenating and lovely! I've only been using it for like 3 days and my blackheads on my chin are definitely going away already.
thanks for this because all the other videos i've seen for blackhead removal include a face mask or a diy with charcoal powder and liquid glue which i can't do tonight but i have pore strips and baking soda at home all the time!
Great Video! I usually use the stripes after shower because in this moment the pores are more opened. I have a big problem with black/white heads and the stripes helps me a lot.I live in Japan and here the Biore`s one is the best by far. I used Baking soda and Cider vinegar before but did not notice any change.
Wow... maybe I don't have much of a blackhead issue because I have never had THAT much out of my nose (even if I added a number of nose strips together). Glad for you that it works that well, though.
Day2DayWithMcK It could be that you have less blackheads, or that the strips are not being effective. Everyone gets them so I'm assuming the strips aren't working well. Mine usually don't.
Woww. With that light and camera view i couldnt tell you had blackheads or pores at all. Thanks for getting real and raw and showing the real deal. I loved it. And í'm so going to try the baking soda tip. ty
If your blackheads are worse than hers, you may be experiencing an extreme in your skin's natural moisturizer. When our skin is on the extreme end of either hydration or dehydration, it will react in a crazy way. Congestion, over production of sebum or under production of sebum, dark spots or more will show up and youve got to balance it. I would also advise you take a look into your cleanser, moisturizer and makeup. Some, if not all, of these items you use may not be non comedogenic. This will surely clog your skin and create an excess of black heads and clogged pores. If you want to take the steps necessary for unclogging your skin, this video only gives you 1 of many steps you'll have to follow before this. 1. Save up $50-$100 and purchase a groupon deal for customized deep cleansing facials. WHILE SAVING: 2. use african black soap (the bar can be bought online) to wash your face with. Followed by a natural toner of either ACV or Tea tree oil. Mix with a bit of water and apply like a toner. 3. Steam your face at least twice a week after washing and then apply freeman's sweet tea and lemon mask all over face. After you pull off the mask, rinse with warm water, apply toner and follow with natural moisturizer. 4. Use trader joes (providing youre near one) moisturizer with SPF 15. This is a non clogging natural unscented moisturizer, non greasy, non oily. Apply this during the day. At night, after washing face, apply castor oil (a non clogging oil) or a mix of castor and jojoba oil 5. To help balance / normalize your skin's hydration use: 1. moroccan red clay or european green clay for a mask once a week. NOW is a great affordable brand. I paid $8 each. and 2. a hydrating sheet mask at least once a week. Lather rinse repeat! Whenever doing a new routine, changes usually show results within 3-6 weeks. I hope this helps? It has helped me too especially in between my facial appointments. Everything I shared with you, is from my personal experience and i am pleased with my results. I ran my ideas by the lady who does my facials and she guided my along the way with the best oils to use and more. Our faces are our calling cards, so I totally understand the desire to have a blackhead free face! :) xo
I like how you made this video without using any good looking model but yourself because the focus is to see the effect to the skin. I can say it works and good on your skin. And yes you are beautiful :)
I'm worried about the pores on your face. Prolonged use of these strips could enlarge your pores permanently. I think you would get better results from an acid toner, probably a salicylic based toner. The strips are temporarily satisfying but definitely no good for your skin. Pore strips can strip off the top layer of your skin which is NOT good! The glue on the pore strips binds to your skin when moistened. As it dries up, in a few minutes, it grips on to the dirt and comedones on your skin. This is pulled out by swiftly ripping away the strip from your skin. This action also unclogs the pores. In fact, the ripping movement leaves your pores open and more vulnerable for bacteria and germs to settle down, leading to buildup and subsequently, breakouts in the form of blackheads and whiteheads. Some users of these strips have also reported enlargement of skin pores. This makes your skin more susceptible to clogging up again, because the open pores do not shrink back. This can really damage the skin by permanently rupturing it. Also, excessive use of pore strips can leave you with a mild skin burn if they happen to also remove the top dermal layer, because the skin on your nose is very delicate. Additionally, it robs the skin of its essential oils, prompting it to produce more oil. So, really, really, recommend avoiding pore strips. They can be very satisfying in the short term but they won't do you any good at all. Avoid!
Naomi Smith so true, I was going to post on here about that a few years ago I saw a video of girl on here (UA-cam) Warning everyone what these pore strips did to her face, she used the pore strip every few days well her face ended up getting damaged her pores became enlarged never went back to how they're before using the strips she ended up calling the company they told her yes if you do use these too much that can happen
Ohhh girl! this was extremely satisfying. you honestly look like you have flawless skin. so to see all the gunk come out I was like damn.. loved the video!!
I've never seen a video with such drastic results I've used these strips before they kinda work but I've never done the baking soda thing sooo gonna try it!
This was the best thing ever!!!!!!! It actually worked I didn't think it would work and the baking soda I put on felt like tooth paste and I left it on during the stripes dried and it worked way better
I'm so glad I found this video. It really works well! i didn't use the nose pore strip where you can just put it on. I had the liquid type something and it works too.
I found it helps for me to take a steamy shower before I put on my strip to help open up my pores. I can't wait to try your baking soda method! Thanks for the helpful tips!!!❤️❤️
Thank you SO SO SO SO SO MUCH! This is the ONLY video I found that really explained what to do and I love that you're not wearing makeup! I mean, who uses pore strips with beautiful eyeliner and lashes perfect right? lolol

Michelle Kanemitsu a little tips is that you should use some pore tightening seruma after because If you do this regularly your pores will only get bigger every time and blackheads will come back more often
Michelle Kanemitsu Will the blackheads come back? I have a Black mask and i used it but My blackheads came back
Li.sartorius Sartorius : ofc they will comeback that's just how it is. But what I did to minimize it to the point where my pores seem almost non existent, is that I used the Aztec clay mask.
baking soda or baking powder ? or can i use baking powder instead of baking soda ?
Halo ohh yess I've heard about that stuff they said it is crazily effective on your face.. may I know where do you get it?
Am I the only one completely shocked by how much came out ?!?! So satisfying to watch lol
Thehispanic gringa: not all of that residue is blackheads, chances are most of those are naturally occurring sebaceous filaments the skin produces as a protective measure . That's why they will keep coming back no matter how many times they are ripped out or removed via other means.
thought thumbnail was clickbait… satisfied that it actually wasn't :)

Just found this video in my suggestions 5 minutes after I used my last pore strip😐

omg that pun slays my life^^
voldemort barely has a nose lmao
Instead of running the hot water on your nose, you should do it right after a hot steamy shower
That's how I do it :-)
Roseanne Borromeo Unless you aren't willing to wipe all of that steam off of your walls! Not cool.
My walls get wall moss and they rot as you can see lol
exfoliate with baking soda and water before using more strip.
saved u 8 minutes.
This is great! I loved hearing how you do it and why and I'm now watching the actual part where you're showing how to do it!
First youtuber to talk about getting rid of blackheads and actually had some
I have to try this. I have terrible blackheads but never get anywhere NEAR as much gunk out! :/
This only works if your black or whiteheads are poking out of your pores like hers. No hate, just trying to save some of y'all's time
Sidney Cope they pull the hell out of mine and mine aren't popping out lol
You actually shouldn't use these at all. The reason why these things don't work for most people is because they aren't blackheads. Those are not supposed to be removed. Those are sebaceous filaments, which occur naturally and will continue to come back when/if somehow pulled out/removed. It actually hurts the skin when you remove them. Pore strips are a gimmick people buy into, they don't work and they shouldn't.
Sidney Cope They are popping out because she opened her pores with hot water and she used the baking soda paste to massage her black/whiteheads out
Rebecca Raygoza black heads are cause of excess sebum ..it blocks pores which is no good for skin
Man, this does work! I pulled out a lot more than usual with your method! So Satisfying! TY so much for the tip!
you're welcome! i'm so glad it worked for you!
Joe Qiao i
Did u use the same type of her nose strip or different one ?
I think it's fine to use different ones
my jaw literally dropped whenever you pulled it off, I think the baking soda helps tho
I really want to get that much of black heads somedays because that's just sooooo fucking satisfying
Edgina HS lol XD i think sooo XD
Edgina HS want to borrow some of mine
Ewan Evans sure if I can
Is that sexually harassment ? Hugh Mungus What?!!!
HELLLLL NOOOOOO
Definetly going to try this tomorrow !!
SO disgustingly satisfying omg
Michelle Kanemitsu you should go to auditions for yg, jyp, sm, fnc
I'm not even Korean, and I can't even sing, dance, or speak Korean??? But thank you lol
Michelle Kanemitsu
Omg I wish I had someone in my life that had a pore strip result like yours.
cosmo_rebeljdal97 I got my big brother

I tried this today and while my results were not as great as Michelle's, I did get more blackheads than I ever have before! Will definitely do this again!!! THANK YOU ❤

I recommend using a toner (I use apple cider vinegar) after using the strip and before moisturizing
Thanks for that tip!
Michelle Kanemitsu you can also use lemon juice as a toner, but don't go to sunlight!

your blackheads are amazing!!
haha thank you!!!
I needed this tip! I alternate my cleansing routine with a scrub and a polisher but I love using pore strips. This was SUPER helpful. Thanks so much!!
Just wanted to add you should probably use a pore tightening serum to really close your pores. I recommend the pore corset serum by skinmiso 😊
oh so im not suppose to rip the strip off fast 😅
Zee kay That's only when waxing c:
Zee kay holy shit no. That would hurt more than waxing lol
Zee kay , please don't do that. When ripping them off you can supposedly pop blood vessels - again, supposedly, but it isn't worth risking it.
Toni Davis wait what if you wax your face? Will they pop
Simplykamara Go wax your eyeballs instead. Tell me how it went
Biore nose what they're doing. Get it, get it? I'm hilarious.

"Look at that. DISGUSTING" I love how she said it omg LOL
Whenever I tried a peel off blackhead/whitehead nose pack it only got ... let's say from 0~10 blackheads. Gotta try this next time.
EHJ Lee same
EHJ Lee I read somewhere that this works best when your black or white heads are poking out as the strips can stick to them better.

I will add that I'm also using the Biore face bar in combination with the strips and as an everyday facial cleanser. It is minty and rejuvenating and lovely! I've only been using it for like 3 days and my blackheads on my chin are definitely going away already.
6:07 DAMNNNN I have never seen this much stuff on a pore strip, this probably only got this much stuff out because you had this much stuff to get out
Yes... Lol. That's why I mentioned in the beginning that it won't work that well if you don't even have anything to take out.
Right!! I saw the thumbnail and was like "OMG I wish I could get that much out with a pore strip!!" Hence why I watched the video lol.
Anna Lynch Reeeally?! You don't say? Hahah
thanks for this because all the other videos i've seen for blackhead removal include a face mask or a diy with charcoal powder and liquid glue which i can't do tonight but i have pore strips and baking soda at home all the time!
Tried this 30 minutes ago and it WORKS!!!
I've never gotten much out of the biore strips... but after watching this and using the baking soda, it worked! I feel like my life is changed 😁😁
but tell me why i whispered "i'm so jealous" when i saw what came out of her nose?
Honestly think one of the most satisfying things in the world is peeling off a pore strip 🙄 loved this video, definitely gonna try it out!
Great Video!
I usually use the stripes after shower because in this moment the pores are more opened.
I have a big problem with black/white heads and the stripes helps me a lot.I live in Japan and here the Biore`s one is the best by far.
I used Baking soda and Cider vinegar before but did not notice any change.
seeing the peeling made me feel so satisfied. ooooooo that was so much and it looked so COOL! who knew gunk on your nose looked so satisfying.
Wow... maybe I don't have much of a blackhead issue because I have never had THAT much out of my nose (even if I added a number of nose strips together).
I loved it. And í'm so going to try the baking soda tip. ty
saying that my nose is like a strawberry was really cute btw haha
my blackheads are so ridiculously bad and I've been trying for years all different things definitely going to try this! life saver girl 🙌🙌🙌
WHILE SAVING:
2. use african black soap (the bar can be bought online) to wash your face with.
At night, after washing face, apply castor oil (a non clogging oil) or a mix of castor and jojoba oil
:) xo
+Nichole D this is a loootttt to follow but i'll try to implement as much as i can lol thanks
no matter how many strips I use, they never work. 😠😠😠😠
omg!!! This actually works. I just tried it today, nose, forehead and chin. I love it!! I got SO MUCH out!! thanks!
FINALLY a good video to remove black heads! tysm
usually the people that you how to remove black heads dont have black heads to begin with - -
I like how you made this video without using any good looking model but yourself because the focus is to see the effect to the skin. I can say it works and good on your skin. And yes you are beautiful :)
Whoa I've never used pore strips before but after a few videos and especially yours I will probably go buy a pack haha
It’s so satisfying to see all the blackheads
Avoid!
Naomi Smith What do you suggest is a better alternative option?
Naomi Smith so true, I was going to post on here about that a few years ago I saw a video of girl on here (UA-cam) Warning everyone what these pore strips did to her face, she used the pore strip every few days well her face ended up getting damaged her pores became enlarged never went back to how they're before using the strips she ended up calling the company they told her yes if you do use these too much that can happen
Miss Jessy wash your face 2 x a day and get a blackhead Extractor Tool kit works awesome www.amazon.com/dp/B010U9JE9S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_bfl4ybC2SJP37

I'm so glad I found this video. It really works well! i didn't use the nose pore strip where you can just put it on. I had the liquid type something and it works too.

Consider turning the faucet off when you're not using the running water though
Thank you so much! And I appreciate you for not screaming at me to turn it off, like some others have done lol.
