I used this method on my nose today and it was amazing how much nasty stuff I took out! Now after washing all of the stuff off my nose with warm water, it is so soft and the pores reduced drastically. This has to be the most helpful video I've seen from your channel so far. Thank you! 🙂
1) steam your face 2) apply toner 3)use teeth flossers to extract blackheads 4)biore pore strip 5)bare minerals detox mask 6)tea tree oil diluted with water
My sister came across this video and I just so happen to have some floss threaders around and I tried this out. It worked pretty well. I have oily/combo skin and my nose is the hardest to keep clear. I do a face or sheet mask everyday and it's helped minimized the appearance of my pores.
This has the potential to get really out of hand really quickly. You have to know yourself before you even attempt doing something like this. Because some people can't stop picking and squeezing once they start. Just be careful.
Yeah I know this is old but I have issues with picking at acne whether it’s on my breasts where I normally get it or the blackheads on my face. It’ll look fine except a few spots until I spend an hour messing with it all and then it takes weeks and sometimes months to go away
Sarah Wilkerson chances are you dont have blackheads on your nose... you have sebaceous filaments. Google search them. you can squeeze them or use pore strips out but all you'll be doing is permanent enlarging your pores and they will just come back. the best and least damaging way to keep your pores clean is with a gentle daily BHA and a weekly clay mask.
My pore tip of the day!! After waxing my upper lip and eyebrows, I have my aesthetician use witch hazel instead of another toner or aloe...and then when I get home I wash my face with Purity by Philosophy and then slather on a layer of my Peter Thomas Roth cucumber gel mask to soothe my red and irritated skin! I find it helps with those little white pimples that can happen after waxing and feels amazing on my sensitive skin!
Just take care not to use too much pressure, you can easily break capillaries in the face and that can lead to much more severe issues than whiteheads. I do encourage the floss technique, well done!
I love that you are so 'real' and not afraid to let us get up close and personal with you!!!! This is the first video I have seen if you, but I am excited to see some of your others!!!
It definitely gave me some shiver seeing the white heads BUT it’s VERY useful tip especially using those picks! I have a ton at home and I will definitely put them into good use😉
These are excellent tips, especially the dental flosser one. I'm 53 and have done all but that one and now I don't feel badly about wasting the flossers since my teeth are too close together to use; I can just scrape my nose with them! Like you, I have otherwise great skin but those little whiteheads and sometimes blackheads plague the skin on and around my nose. I agree that vigilance with masks, exfoliation, and tea tree oil all help make and keep acne at bay as well. Kudos.
I always thought I had blackheads on my nose but they are actually black hairs because I have dark hair. I have tried to take out the blackheads and nother ever came out so I took a better look and now I shave them off with my eyebrow shaver and all the black hairs come off my nose. (the shaver is specifically made to use for hairs on the face)
Hi, Jennifer, new subbie here! I've always had bad skin, and honestly, I've never known what to do about it. I have a bad habit of picking at my blackheads and white heads which just leaves marks, making me look worse. I have been drinking more water, and cleansing twice a day (not being as lazy as before), and eating better. I really like your tips, and I will try them! And this is a super give-away, thanks!
I love this video, my nose is like extra oily. it's extra annoying because I wear glasses all the time so my nose especially the bridge of my nose is always oily. also, Jen, would this process of unclogging the pores in your nose be the same if you have a nose ring. because I can take it out but it tends to close quickly. Any tips for that?
This is cool! I never thought about flossers! -- Beware though if you have sensitive/delicate skin to avoid the strips because they can cause spider veins around your nose! : ( I know from personal experience.
my best tip is to use a scrub on your face every morning or night. ~ Can you make a video on cleaning clogged pores on the chin (my chin always breaks out and I'm sick of it...)
Not really, it's squeezing pores that can scar and or damage them, so that they stay enlarged. If you can see a dark blackhead, it is better to remove the oil (sebum) plug than to let it stay and continue to build up.
thank u I found it very helpful !!! to be honest I like that u shared ur tips with us and that u r not ashamed of showing ur pores because we r all humans and we r not perfect! ! it made me feel I'm not the only one with the same issue!! thank u and God bless you! ! 🤗😇🙏☝💫
Great tips! I'm going to use them :) Just wanted to say that the white things you call whiteheads are actually sebaceous filaments. They occur when a lot of gunk builds up in the pore. It's not acne at all. White heads are actually pimples with the puss showing on top. I know, it's easy to mix them up! I did for a long time. I finally started to remove them correctly instead of using whitehead treatments. And that's when I don't have anymore! Lol :)
Ive been so stressed with one black head on my cheek.. and now finally, i removed it. this trick is so helpful, thank you so much. love from the Philippines. ❤
I haven't tried the floss yet but excited for anew option. I don't get much outright acne/pimples anymore, but all my pores are clogged or have blackheads. My pores are deep and stubborn, biore strips and even clinical microdermabrasion couldn't clear them!
i love the tutorial, but i find using the tooth floss tool thing to be difficult (since you gotta use two). what i use is just a hair pin. it's small but it's easier to use plus you can concentrate on specific parts of your nose esp the skin were its difficult to squeeze out the white heads without ripping your nose apart!
do you use the same technique for your chin? my chin is my problem area when it comes to huge pores. my nose is just a biore strip away. but my chin, it just doesn't cooperate
ugh I have the same problem. they make it so easy to treat nose pores but not chins!! I always try looking for the biore face strips but they seem to be hard to find around here. that was my only hope. I've been doing this floss stick trick for a while now but they just don't fit around the curves of the chin as well.
This is great! Thank you. I am wondering about the Biore pore strips. I heard they were useless but when you used them I wondered. Do they really work?
Woah! Extremely helpful and everything about your intro and channel is extremely aesthetically pleasing! Your personality during the video seems really welcoming and enjoyable which upsets me because you deserve more subscribers! One thing I wanted to mention is you should do a video for the forehead, my forehead gets really oily and can get quite a lot of acne, I try to wash it and keep it clean and I don't want to waste too much of my money on products, any tips on that would be amazing! Keep up the amazing work, you just got a new subscriber and I'll be sure to tell my friends about your channel!
I never used to clean my pores.. But i did sometime back and I just feel more blackheads than before.. More prominent.. And I'm very sure I did it correctly.. Even steamed.. Any tips?
That's actually kinda funny to me cuz I just finished giving my pet rat (yes, I have a rat lol) a bath with tea tree oil shampoo because he showed a lot of symptoms of having lice or mites. This was my first time trying the tea tree oil shampoo, so hopefully after a few more baths he will be back to normal
Sister Daniel Haha, no judgements. I have 5 guinea pigs and a hamster in my room, 3 rats in the house and 3 dogs plus some fish. Haha, yeah, my mother made us put tea tree oil in our shampoo when a supposed new species of lice (I think is what is was) was discovered. It could be cheaper to buy a bottle of tea tree oil and a pet safe shampoo of your choice and put a few drops of the oil in it. Maybe, I dunno. I read somewhere that putting tang drink mix (it's orange flavored for a slight taste for water) in your rodents bottle helps them live longer. My mom heard it from a pet store staff member, and I know they aren't always super trusty so I'd research it a lot first, but just a thought!
You can see lice but you should get a lice comb... if they're mites you will need to get a specific product for him. Read online if tea tree is toxic to rats before you use it again. Lice you can treat with a comb. A rat's fur is short enough, you can comb them off and kill them. Use cedar shavings for his bedding too.
This is my first time watching your videos but I️ like them already. Can you use the flossers on any of the pores in your face? Very informative video. Nicely done.
Oh girl there is an easier way! When you steam the pores you are opening them up but then you went and closed them by putting the toner on! Don't do that! In fact I don't steam my face at all I put some coconut oil on and let it soak in before doing battle with the sebaceous filaments. Wipe the oil off with a dry cloth and go to town. Trust me you will get so much more out. After that is done continue with the other steps. But the tooth flosser thing is brilliant! I can't wait to try this!
m getting tiny blackheads on my face I m so scared coz I m using tool to clean it out but after two days it comes again can any1 give me any suggestions???
You cannot get rid of blackheads and whiteheads permanently. Your face will always have pores, and will always secrete sebum and come into contact with environmental factors like dust, smoke etc. Having balckheads and whiteheads is normal, and can increase as you age and your pores tend to widen. You just have to care for your skin and minimize them. You're not doing anything wrong, your body is the way it is.
A trick you can try if you are still developing blackheads in the same pores over and over again is to soak a washcloth in cold water (as cold as you can stand) and place that over the open pores. This has the opposite effect of the first step shown in the video and will help your pores to close faster, reducing the swelling and the chance of them becoming clogged again.
This is the first video I have seen of yours and this is honestly the best one for clogged pores!! I really like how you demonstrate it on an actual affected area. It shows that it really works!! I am really happy I watched your video!!!
At this moment, my best tip for unclogging pores is to combine a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice to exfoliate and then leave dry on my face for about 3-5 mins. Generally, after a major extraction event (lol) I like to ice my face with an ice cube to reduce inflammation and increase blood flow, and then I use this Green Tea Matcha Mud Mask (I think adding a few drops of tea tree oil to the mask is beneficial for it's antiseptic properties) for 15-17 mins.
Abbie Ray YES she did! You don't have to be girly to feel fresh, you just have to be more clean and taking care of your skin doesn't have anything to do with "girliness".
This is the first video of your I have come across, and I love your channel. You are such an underrated UA-camr and your videos are so good I'm so glad I came across your channel and I've subscribed
Great tip though from what I saw the floss string didn't really seem to do much in terms of extracting zits but I would love to give this a try my nose is the worst...when it comes to black heads ;-;
She applied the mud mask in a triangle shape, the shape color is green. Do you know what's triangle and is green? Yes the illuminati. Her nose is illuminati confirmed 😆

I've used those gum flossers for this for years and have never told anyone because I thought I was being gross.
Lisa Locke I just felt shivers of disgust even thinking about that. I guess you're right!
pinksalamanders does it work?
Yes, but it's kinda hard on the delicate skin around the nose. The pick end of the flosser is better for extraction.
black heads aren't easy to remove and even if it was remove their will be a scare left over
pinksalamanders
you were being groooooos

xxboondocks52xx they are broken capillaries right under the skin so like tiny veins

Not really, it's squeezing pores that can scar and or damage them, so that they stay enlarged. If you can see a dark blackhead, it is better to remove the oil (sebum) plug than to let it stay and continue to build up.

Jessica Rass so what other treatment did you start doing?
Jill Jill Mattifying moisturizers, tea tree oil, BHA, exfoliating washes twice a week, and, like her, biore pore strips :)
Jessica Rass I have sebaceous filaments on my nose & cheeks :/ also my chest and breasts. I hate them so much it's horrible 😢
I usually never try UA-cam skincare DIYs/hacks, but this actually worked with the flossing tools. Thanks so much!
I love love loooveee skin care! please do more if you can! 😊

Definitely not every day! I would say twice a month, more or less depending on what your skin type is! ❤️
24 times a year!
Jennifer Chiu
CH33R19S 2 times a month (1nce every 2 weeks)
its everyday BROOOOO !!!
i tried this and it actually works really well. i couldn't find anything else that really worked for me so thank you!!
Is this method only used for the nose? Or for any part of the face?
You could totally use it o the chin as well.
I liked it! I would never have thought you needed to clean your pores just to see you at the start of the video! You looked great before and after😊
i love the tutorial, but i find using the tooth floss tool thing to be difficult (since you gotta use two). what i use is just a hair pin. it's small but it's easier to use plus you can concentrate on specific parts of your nose esp the skin were its difficult to squeeze out the white heads without ripping your nose apart!
tokwha Hairpin can cause scarring be careful. I just have a blackhead extractor which is same concept of hairpin but wont press in so deeply.
Omg the flossers tip is freaking genius!!!!!!!! Thank u so much for this!
do you use the same technique for your chin? my chin is my problem area when it comes to huge pores. my nose is just a biore strip away. but my chin, it just doesn't cooperate
StephiePlace I have the same problem, it's full of whiteheads
StephiePlace try the biore face strips. Then are just like the nose strips, but they are meant for other areas of the face.
StephiePlace I have the same exact problem I hate it
ugh I have the same problem. they make it so easy to treat nose pores but not chins!! I always try looking for the biore face strips but they seem to be hard to find around here. that was my only hope. I've been doing this floss stick trick for a while now but they just don't fit around the curves of the chin as well.
try Emerson glue and mix it with charcoal powder. let it dry then peel it off, it works soooo good for the whole face 😊

Steam does not open pores, that is a myth steam actually shrinks pores. Our pores are not like our muscles where heat can expand them
The steam doesnt "open" pores, but it softens up the gunk, so it can come out of the pores easier
Wait I'm so confused by this comment chain, does it help in any way or not?
Yeah, put oil on already clogged pores...that'll help...
Apply egg white with baking soda on your nose than put tissue, wait till it dries than take it off, that’s how I do it:)
Thanks for keeping it real . beautiful skin girl . Can wait to try .
Ive been doing this for ages, but instead of toner i use witches hazel
Pynkkfur Productions toner is witch hazel.
Sugar Bunny cool I kinda figured it was, but I bet its way more expensive than a 16 oz witches hazel lol
Pynkkfur Productions well if you can stand the smell, straight witch hazel is better anyway, toner has other chemicals in it to dry quickly
It's witch, not witches.
So which hazel is it?
The floss thing worked so well! I have tons of those and I never thought to use them like that

Where can you buy the nose strips and what section in the store????
Briana _13 any store that sells cosmetics. it should be near the facial washes or acne medication. good luck and read the instructions on the label!

I'm not much of a make up chick but this definitely reminds me I can always keep my face looking fresh by being a bit more girly. Thank you mamas!
MissYoungsta you don't have to be girly to feel good about yourself.
Yari cideliarce did she say that? Go away sjw
It's just.. so satisfying
Great tip though from what I saw the floss string didn't really seem to do much in terms of extracting zits but I would love to give this a try my nose is the worst...when it comes to black heads ;-;
Awesome video brb gonna go do it now!
Thanks Gabi! I hope it works out for you! ❤️
Jennifer Chiu your awesome

She applied the mud mask in a triangle shape, the shape color is green. Do you know what's triangle and is green? Yes the illuminati. Her nose is illuminati confirmed 😆
