Tip: Next time wet a cloth with rlly warm water and then wait 5 mind. Then apply the mask. All the because he it opens ur pores and won't hurt at much!
Girl, you are so brave. First for doing your whole face, then for repeating the mask after the first one caused you so much pain. It might be a good idea to do an update after a couple of months to let others know if it had any adverse effects from long term use and how your skin feels to you after doing this and using your brush as I know that the brush is a staple of yours. Thank you for sharing.
+Moochydoll .2 Yes. You have to check there website before buying things. There are reviews on there and it will tell you if it's good for sensitive skin or not. When you go to Lush, you can ask them for a sample of a product (which is free) to try it before buying it.
When removing excess mask from your face, I recommend using a cold damp cloth or rag because it will close all of your open pores. Using a warm rag will leave your pores open and allow more oil to leak from your face.
I'm sorry but you made me laugh until tears came when you were fanning your face from the pain, you're too cute. I'm a new subscriber, just love the way you speak and explain about even the little things some other UA-camrs don't remember to mention
Tip for peeling off these kinds of really sticky masks. Hold your skin down just below where you are trying to pull from to keep the skin from lifting up and stretching, which causes wrinkles from unnecessary pulling of the skin. By holding the skin taut, you are not allowing that extra give, so it doesn't hurt as much, kind of like when you wax or epilate, it is best to do it on shorter hair than longer hair to keep it from breaking versus pulling from the root.
definitely one of the BEST videos on this mask that ive seen. i like how she gave how much she believed to put in and showed a close up on the skin! :)
Just a small recommendation, you might want to start doing ice facials as well. They help shrink your pours, stop blackheads and help with premature wrinkles.
+rebeca Q. u can look it up on Google. but it'd pretty easy. for 10-15 min in the morning and evening on clean skin u run an ice cube over your skin. That's basically it.
+Ebony Ebony For sure. moisturizer is your last step to sorta seal in everything. I follow the traditional Korean facial routine which is 13 steps plus I add ice facials and derma rolling. I wouldn't do the derma every day or you'll wreck your skin. like once a week.
I like that you did a closeup it showed how well in drew out the whiteheads our of your pores. I would have to shave before i do this I have hair all over my face. I got a free bag of charcoal just for reviewing it so all i have to do is buy the glue. And you got a new subscriber stay blessed.
You should put a warm towel on your face for a minute or so to open up the pores & soften the black/ white heads before appying the mask. You'll get out more.
HOLY CRAP THAT FREAKIN HURT!!! If I ever do this again I'm gonna shave my face! The worst part was my upper lip... OMG, IT HURT.... and I'm not a wuss when it comes to pain. My eyes were watering, and all I kept thinking was they need to use this as a torture technique. Forget water boarding. This shit will make anyone give up state secrets.
I've read lately that some blackheads can be caused by sun exposure so it would make sense that you may have some or more on the left side of your face. Great DIY video.
I use this same diy mask! it works better if you don't use the brush to apply it. for me, using the brush kinda makes it dry inconsistent and with jagged edges so it's hard to start pulling it off. if you just use your fingers it works better!
This video was super helpful and the results are bomb but using less charcoal makes it much easier to remove and way less painful. Especially for the ladies who have sensitive skin.
Daiso Japan has a black charcoal mask that I use that's essentially the same thing. it's on amazon for about $7 if you decide you don't want to go through the trouble of mixing the product every time.
OMG I did this mask with my boyfriend last month (around the time you made this video actually). It hurt so freakin badly he had to take most of it off for me. I'm glad it worked for you though. I think I have to find a gentler way to make it for myself.
I did Mask. I personally Loved it because its cheap and super easy. Though the peel off part hurts a bit I loved the result of soft smooth skin. After I did the mask I washed my face with warm water. Then applied Vaseline and Coconut Oil. Then went to sleep. The next morning my skin was so refreshed and was ready for a flawless Makeup look.
A great alternative to using the glue is Knox original unflavored gelatin powder. The gelatin acts the same as the glue in that when it dries it will 'peel'. Just add about 1-2 tbs of gelatin and 3-4 tbs of water to your ACTIVATED charcoal.
I wonder what would happen if you use eggs instead of glue. The egg should still help it hold but it won't be as painful when pulling off. What do you think?
+SarahLeeTV The egg whites & toilet paper aren't effective for me at all but I have a lot of white heads so Idk why it isn't working because it seems to do the job for everyone else.. 😞😞
Great video. I make handmade soap for face and body and I learned you aren't supposed to use metal to mix or pour the charcoal in because the metal removes most of the healing properties it has. I just use plastic when I deal with activated charcoal.
it's been a trend the last few months and hair doesn't really come in thicker when you shave. That is a myth about shaving, it just appear that way due to the direction ppl tend to shave in. Doing it downward will prevent that. lalaland2751 . but i recommend ppl always doing their research
+Tgore2 I think it would be better for her to thread her hair instead of shaving it off. Trend or not I still wouldn't recommend it. I used to shave my peach fuzz when I little because it hated seeing it. Now my hair grows back thicker and it just stays that way. I'm telling her from my experience. Maybe others have had a better experience with shaving, but me, not so much.
Both answers are actually wrong shaving your hair in any direction or not at all doesn't make it grow any different babes . Shaving cuts off the top layer of hair so the thicker part of your hair is what grows out . So shave if you want to but you'll have to more often . Try an option that pulls from the root .
Some people have used egg whites or clear unflavored gelatin instead of glue. It seems more natural but some people still found it adheres like the glue and can be difficult or painful to remove. Maybe if the skin is first protected with a thin layer of either avocado oil moisturizer, cocoa butter or shay butter it would help allow the mask to be peeled off a little easier. Try using more water and less of the adhesive ingredients. Otherwise, simply wash the mask off with warm water if it’s too painful to peel it off. Thanks again for sharing.
Hello! I just recently started watching your videos and wanted to let you know that you are beautiful!! You have an amazing natural complexion and you skin looks amazing!!
Just learned that the reason I have blackheads mainly on one side is the side you hold you're phone while talking. So a way to avoid it is to start using the handsfree or speaker when talking on your phone. Just a tip :) Great vid!
Ok yes i’m nervous about the glue / toxins but… i’m going for it especially bc I need a quick fix 🙏🏾🥰I love using charcoal and i’m excited to try it this week!!!!
does it matter if you have dry or oily skin? I have normal/dry skin and I'm hesitant because I'm afraid it might dry me out even more than usual. especially with winter approaching.
this is great. I'm going to do this. I heard that you should apply like an aftershave or something to close the pores that have opened once the blackheads/whiteheads/hairs have been removed.
I wan to do this tomorrow night! My skin is superrrrrr sensitive though does these ingredients make u break out after because usually when my skin gets irritated I break out in tiny bumps all over and get really self conscious ...and how long should I keep it on
Probably shouldn't use this for sensitive skin because I have sensitive skin and did this and it hurt but if you still wanna do this it's 15 minutes or longer depends in how much you put on your face
And if you get a napkin with only a tiny bit of water and dab a little on your face while taking it off it helps a little but don't do to much or the mask with get wet again and you'll have to dry it
I Have Sensitive Skin, I Use This Mask But I Add Another Acne Scrub That I Know Doesn't Break My Face Out And I Add That So It Doesn't Make My Face Red.
I don't have any hair on my face because I get my whole face threaded. Yes I do. Smh🤦🏽♀️. But during my wedding time they told me my makeup will go on better with no hair which I know is true. Ppl just hover over in my personal space asking if it hurt. (they secretly want to get it done) But I'm gonna try the mask because IG keeps advertising one that has horrible reviews if they ever get it and you just made it right before my eyes. Love!!!
After doing this mask, did you recognize any bumps or pimples later on your face? What was the aftermath 3 days to a week later? Like was your skin negatively affected later? Thank You
i didn't experience any negative side affects. Just make sure you follow up with a toner to close your pores after doing this mask. check out my skin care routine. Link in the description box
i use those little shavers and shave all my tiny hairs off my face. ive been doing it for a year now and it hasnt grown back thicker, and it really makes a difference when you dont wear makeup. just be sure to moisturize it right after, of course open your pours first and then after use cold water.

I’ve seen other (hilarious) videos of people removing the charcoal face mask and I must say, you took the pain like a champ 😂😂😂 definitely will try. Thanks for sharing !
It is actually not because of the small hairs it hurts, but because it peels a small bit off of your skin (not only dead skincells) :/ so you really shouldn't do this often!! Great video and you are absolutely beautiful!
Thanks for the close up, and the "real" reaction to the removal. I am waiting for my activated charcoal to arrive so I can do a video for my channel. New subscriber here by the way.

MelloGang FanTube thanks
Does that mean we don't need the glue then?
MelloGang FanTube where can I buy that black powder?? or capsule?? please reply
vot vlok whole foods or online
I added a drop or two of coconut oil and it didn't hurt at all when I peeled it off

wow I was really skeptical about this but it really worked!! Thank you
You should try steaming your face before the mask application it should make the removal less painful
Thats a good tip. Ill try that next time
thanks
You're welcome
steaming does sound like a good idea
+JourneyTo WaistLength while this mask work for sensitive skin as welm

Wow I have to try this! I love charcoal, I used to use the Charcoal Face Soap from LUSH and it removed all of the impurities on my face.
does lush work on sensitive skin because my friend used many lush products from scrubs to masks and she said her face felt tight and irritating
+Moochydoll .2 Yes. You have to check there website before buying things. There are reviews on there and it will tell you if it's good for sensitive skin or not. When you go to Lush, you can ask them for a sample of a product (which is free) to try it before buying it.

I would have brushed upward so the skin doesn't pull downward. Whew...thank you. very tastefully done. Great video!
The clarity of this video is incredible. It looks like high definition..😆
Very interesting mask to remove blackheads & whiteheads! I'm not sure about this, but I'll think about it.
it works, trust me. It removed my blackheads and my girl's blackheads.
Oh ok. Thanks for letting me know.
+Jazmin Jordan
You're welcome.
Literally canned myself at your reaction when removing the mask Shanique! Dzamn!
great video, I will be trying this but I want to find another ingredient to substitute for the glue first
Try egg whites
ok thnks
Now egg whites I can do. I'm still hurting from watching the video. Lol! 😂😂
Gelatin.
+pr3ciouso why egg whites?
Just a small recommendation, you might want to start doing ice facials as well. They help shrink your pours, stop blackheads and help with premature wrinkles.

Not a good thing if you have oily skin. Shrinking down your pores makes the oil clog inside and that makes those nasty underskin pimples.
Great results . you have really nice skin

I need to try this for my nose
This video was super helpful and the results are bomb but using less charcoal makes it much easier to remove and way less painful. Especially for the ladies who have sensitive skin.
Girl ur a trooper, I would've been cryinggggggg

You can also use gelatin + water, heat for 10 seconds and apply. It has the exact same effect and removes blackheads/whiteheads.

yep i tried it, it works. she must have sensitive skin cause it doesn't hurt it does dry hard
OMG YOURE SO NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL NO FAIR 😭
im a fuzzy gal i don't think ill be trying this lol well maybe i won't have to get waxed so often lol
you can always shave your face first, but do it in a downwards motion
+Tgore2 shaving isn't the best thing to do. Considering it can lead to thicker hair growth and ingrown hairs, which are a pain to deal with.
it's been a trend the last few months and hair doesn't really come in thicker when you shave. That is a myth about shaving, it just appear that way due to the direction ppl tend to shave in. Doing it downward will prevent that. lalaland2751 . but i recommend ppl always doing their research

very intetesting...I may try... I recommend applying hemp oil afterwards to soothe any irritation.. It is amazing for the skin!
Use whipped egg white instead of glue! Then use a non-oily moisturizer on your face afterwards.

it wasn't runny enough. It needs to be runny or it'll hurt, with a dry thick paste.
Yaaaassss, 60 full frames per second of this wonderful tutorial and your beautiful face! Thanks for the video girl!
So you dont use steam to open your pores in this one?
you can if you want to

Love your vids and the camera quality! What kind of camera do you use!?!?!
YOU LOOK SO GOOD WITH A FRESH FACE OMG IM LIVING FOR THIS
Instead of glue you can use agar powder (it hurts less)
That means it probably works less too👌🏾
SHINY BRITT where can you purchase that?
TheChyGyrl any grocery store
Thank you for doing it with any kind of make up and showing off natural beauty
You looked really pretty :) trying this mask now too
does the mask rip out your facial hairs? just curious if it would be easier to use this than wax?
i think if you make it into a thicker paste it should work
Pari Montgomery the mask mostly pulls out the peach fuzz on your face!
Pari Montgomery hey, this does peel off small facial hair
so its gonna hella hurt right?
sofia tapmangkal it will a bit but it's manageable
You have such beautiful brown skin. I love your video editing. Great close up shots.
I use elmer's clear gel glue in my peel off mask mix.
We’re can I get glue
This is the true definition of "Beauty is Pain"!!!
I wan to do this tomorrow night! My skin is superrrrrr sensitive though does these ingredients make u break out after because usually when my skin gets irritated I break out in tiny bumps all over and get really self conscious ...and how long should I keep it on
I wouldnt reccommend this for sensitive skin
Briana Fleming i think until the entire mask is dry .then remember to peel frm the bottom up
Probably shouldn't use this for sensitive skin because I have sensitive skin and did this and it hurt but if you still wanna do this it's 15 minutes or longer depends in how much you put on your face

Try Elmers School Glue you'll feel less pain :)
you could shave off the peach fuzz before doing this, i think i'd do that bc im not good with pain hahaha
u don't got to do ur whole face u could just do patches that need it
i think bc she used alot of charcoal, only use half a tea spoon, if you use more it won't peel off and it'll hurt
if you push up with your other finger while you peel it off it hurts a little less
I love how close and focused this video was.
thank you for being honest throughout
+Juliana Amoateng no problem
If you add a thick layer to all the face, it won't hurt as bad as a thin layer. also steaming your face will help make it less painful

i use those little shavers and shave all my tiny hairs off my face. ive been doing it for a year now and it hasnt grown back thicker, and it really makes a difference when you dont wear makeup. just be sure to moisturize it right after, of course open your pours first and then after use cold water.
+JourneyTo WaistLength ouch looks like it hurt , cant i just out a warm damped towel on it before pulling it off?

Can it not be rinsed with water or dampened before removing?
i heard the mask will loosen and the black heads will not be removed from you face..
& did you do it 3x in the same day?
no.. 3 times in a month
Ooh ok, thanks! Def gonna try this. Blackheads are SO annoying
fuck off, nigga

YES!!!
actually, if you apply vasiline to your facial hair you'll be fine.
