74 yo former bodybuilder here… I used to actually chew up the liver tablets and was eating 75 a day! I got used to the taste, and can tell you they did work!
PS- And yes, had a LOT of gas lol

In the 70's I was one of those who took 100 dessicated liver tabs a day along with choline and insitol . Don't know if it helped because the Dianabol I was talking sure did. Thanks for the informational video!

@@wildmanz8233 I wasn't gassy until I added an item called brewers yeast which I started taking because a workout partner I had took it . I don't even know if you can buy dessicated liver tabs or brewers yeast any more!

You can make desiccated liver yourself- get sliced beef liver and smoke it like jerky or salt and put in the oven on warm. I’’m paying 1.50$ a lb for it.
@@trumpdrago517 ypu can also eat liver...it along with most organ meats are cheaper than regular meat which is muscle organ. The only issue with organs meats is that if you have familial history of cholesterol disease, it can be an issue as organ meats are high in cholesterol

I love liver. Chicken & beef twice a week.
I used to eat lambs liver as a teenager in the 90s and looking back I definitely noticed the energy and overall health benefits, haven’t eaten it for years I think now is a great time to tuck back in. The for posting.
Just be aware of cholesterol in organ meats. I don't recommend over doing it with organ meats...everything in moderation
A great and cheap way to get liver is to get the freeze dried liver treats for dogs and cats. It’s marketed for pets but it’s totally premium/human grade. I get a 2lb back for $20 and it doesn’t taste too bad at all!
If you have iron overload, copper toxicity, or vitamin A toxicity then liver will fuck you up lol
That's true, and that's why it is important to know what you are doing. If you don't, get a knowledgeable coach...like me
@@GoldenEraBookworm I agree. Liver used to make me feel good, same with a higher protein intake. Now it doesnt and I dont know which nutrient its from. I can eat half an ounce and my skin will turn orange acutely and Ill get dizzy.

Nope. I hate to say it, but they left "Old School Bodybuilding", and are now catering to females. It moved away from bodybuilding and is now focusing on women's fitness. I am representing NutriEst, a European company that focuses on organ health.

What keeps me from taking liver pills is the high iron content.

No they don't have them, especially not glutamine and glycine wich ruin gut health over time and then cause malabsorption wich makes the weak plant food suddenly even less effective, and seriously how can you come tot he conclusion that enough calories = enough protein, you can't even get enough volume in you stomach to eat so much, and no lentils aren't high protein because they contain anti nutrients wich make them bio unavailable

Nonetheless, the calories/protein argument is completely erroneous. Calories dont equal protein, silly.
Eating this way is a fast track to creating deficiencies-- not only amino acid deficiencies, but downstream deficiencies, amongst other micronutrients, ontop of creating organ stress due to the increased demand to produce some compounds we are only meant to produce endogenously in certain amounts, creating a vicious cycle of stress and deficiency because you are not eating the necessary dietary prerequisites for endgoenous production in the first place. Hence, the emaciated vegan.
