Watching young arnold full of life reminds me that life is short and we must make every day count
And franco Columbo death.. one day we here next day gone
He's still full of life...just his body has had a lot of issues as he's aged...several heart surgeries, back and muscle surgeries and a very publicized act of infidelity and subsequent divorce. But he's still full of life, energetic in his personality, attitude and outlook....endlessly positive. He also still works out 6 days a week.
Yeah but hes still full of life and the most jacked 80 year old you will ever see so.. lol.
also reminds people steroids prescribed by the dr can be beneficial
The prison officials are not dopes . These inmates are the less violent ones that get to mingle with visitors.
You don't know what your talking about. I did 32 years for 1st degree murder. Saw willie nelson, Johnny Cash, Santana. All play on the yard at Soledad and Quentin. Belly dancers in the summer of '78, right on the yard. Lol

Very nice extended video. It’s cool to see them interact in natural conversation. I’m confused by their co-ed program of having men and women in the same yard. I don’t think it worked out too well because I haven’t heard of it since.

Great footage and prison ministry with bodybuilding. I wish they had more of this in Pumping Iron, especially Frank Zane giving nutritional advices. He was in about 2 background shots in the final cut of the movie and no one knew he and Ed Cornball were even there. Arnold as a good listener and Franco in classic attire too.

The last two black dudes looking at Arnold wondering how the heck he got so jacked 😂 keep in mind that was in the 70s people didn't know much about lifting ways
People knew plenty about lifting in the 1970s. Tons of magazine advice and enough books to teach you, nevermind other lifters. I even have magazines from 1920/1922 have told you what to do. Over time, with scientific studies, the advice got better. Still, there was enough out there to develop a good build and strength, if you took the time to look for it and practice it.
Little did they know a black man would win more titles than Arnold
No one new much about nutrition, training back then they definitely never seen anything like Franco or Arnie before, must have blown their mind see their bodies,they were all friendly. Very humble back then

The funny thing is this visit was probably a bit of a highlight but forgotten by the prisoners with the week . Imagine their shock about ten years later when they’re taking their kid to the cinema to see some film called The Terminator and arnie pops up on the screen ! “I’m sure I know that guy from somewhere …”

the food had less chemicals in it back then. some meats in American contain bleach. cant be healthy
What is the beeper on the camera for? The cameraman pushes it many times but I don't understand what it accomplishes.

@@mr.monitor. that's why this section is just an out take - and wasn't in the actual film. Notice how there weren't any sound problems in the pumping iron that got released to the public? That's cos they did regular sound checks and then edited out the mute parts
I don't see Big Rami , Nick Walker , or any of the recent great bodybuilders going to any prison to put on a seminar for guys serving time but I guess that is why Arnold's era was the greatest era of bodybuilding.

Ive been to a few prisons to install gym equipment, the inmates were very helpful, mostly young guys tho, this mix of prisoners look a lot older.
hey Carlos did you know Arnold best buddy /flat mate, Australian ifbb president Paul Graham was in Terminal island prison for 6 years , he was in hawaii at the time with Arnold ,when the police picked them up ,it was Mike Metnzer father in law (policeman),who told him this ,its all on the website,look it up .Thats why they are best friends ,look up Rodger walker 1980 ifbb competitor,he stated this .The only guy to be successful in movies was Arnold ,because of the weiders contacts in the film industry.the rest of us starved to death.
